My annual renewed last month. If I cancel subscription now, do I maintain this subscription until next renewal? Campaigns, source and campaign books, characters, encounters, home brew etal remain active and available until next renewal?
if I do not cancel and the OGL 1.1 comes out, am I subject to that immediately?

If you cancel, that just means that it does not automatically bill you when it renews. You keep the perks till it ends.
I have lost interest in D&D a while ago, but I came back here because it delights me to be in the way of the Exec's money. I hope they lose hair over this.
My annual subscription renewed last month. I understand if I cancel my sub now it will remain in place until the next renewal period. If during the year HASBRO delivers an acceptable set of terms and conditions, will I be notified either before my annual period expires, or before my account is no longer active, so that I can renew?

No one from WOTsee will notify you, if that was your question.
I unsubbed and when it asked why, I selected "Other" and simply wrote "OGL." in the description box. I love this game, the community, and I genuinely appreciate WotC as it's own distinct entity. But Hasbro done messed up.
Unsubscribed right around the time they cancelled the Twitch stream that was scheduled this afternoon. Real shame too, but it's hard to look past such catastrophically stupid decision-making. I'd be doing the same with MTG Arena if I was a player in that space, but I haven't touched that other WotC brand in years.
I've mentioned earlier in other threads, but yeah, I've unsubscribed from the service and won't be purchasing any further content through this platform (or any official 5e content in general).
The campaigns I'm in are pivoting to alternative systems as well (it's going to be a pain, but it is what it is).
I never did subscribe. Nor did I ever purchase anything from Beyond and for good reason. I only ever used the forum to scout out players. My issue with a Digital platform is that when you purchase something you agree to their terms. If they want to at any time they can update or even remove anything you have put money into. Sure its a handy service and comes with some nice tools but thats how they sucker you in. In any case Im done with Wizards and my current D&D campaign will more then likely be my last. Been playing D&D since the late 80s. Its time to move to another system permanently. I will not touch anything with a Wizards/Hasbro label on it ever again. They have really shown their true colors with this OGL crap. Personally even if they back up and admit their mistake. To much harm has been done at this point. Screw them. They deserve to fail.
Be sure to cancel your DnDBeyond account that way they will know you are never coming back to spend money ever again.
This is a very ineffective form of protest. The biggest problem with boycotting products over rumors by leaving them forever is that you have completely lost your power the second you've done that. Wizards of the Coast now knows they won't get you back, no matter what they do and no matter how horrible and terrible the next Open Game License is. Doing this surrenders your power and the message it sends to Wizards of the Coast is that you likely won't be a paying customer ever again, regardless of what they do.
Not only that, but it does seem a bit preemptive. Because deleting your account and losing everything you had in it over unconfirmed leaks really doesn't make sense when you can just wait a bit and make a more informed decision. You guys can get your accounts deleted if you want to, and it does send a message to Wizards of the Coast and it does pressure them to make a public statement a bit earlier than they intended. That being said, unsubscribing temporarily might actually send about as strong a message as deleting your account does, and it ensures that you can keep playing the wonderful game we all love if things change for the better.
I've unsubscribed. I've also lost any enthusiasm I had for the upcoming movie & series.
Keep in mind, the movie has nothing to do with the spirit that WotC has been pushing. It might just be a fun adventure movie. Remember that D&D is the concept and community, and not the brand.
Hosted a battle between the Cult of Sedge and the Forum Countershere(Done now). I_Love_Tarrasques has won the fight, scoring a victory for the fiendish Moderators.
Cancelled my Master subscription, and finally bought Cortex Prime. I enjoyed earlier versions of it (Marvel Heroic, etc.) prior to switching to 5e. Time to set up a new game I think...

Its true that I do not think a single programmer is working on new features.
I'm going to go play another RPG now. Goodbye WOTC and 5e.
Inshallah, may WOTC burn.

A question, I just unsubed, am I going to lose access to the Encounter Builder?
See above. It only affects you when the year of your sub ends

Unsubscribed a few days ago. The only question now is whether I ever subscribe again.
F¿CK YOU, HASBRO!
I'M OUT!

BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!
He/him pronouns. Call me Bard. PROUD NERD!
