Hello, I am creating a character for a new Strixhaven Campaign and our DM was kind enough to let us pick a background from the PHB and a Strxhaven feat. Is it possible to have both a Strixhaven feat and an origin feat in DNDB? or is there a way the DM could give everyone an additional feat at level 1?
Yes, you can add additional feats on your character sheet where feats are listed at the bottom of the Features and Traits tab (there's a button called Manage Feats). Probably best to take the Strixhaven background and then add an origin feat via the character sheet.

While this is how you do that, I think they were wondering if you get both, and both RAW and RAI, they don't.

Hey! I make (what I believe to be, could use some feedback) good homebrew!
Strixhaven was published before 2024. Strixhaven Initiate is not labeled an origin feat on DND beyond, nor can you select it as the versatile feat on a human. I think Rules as Intended they were written in the style of 2024 backgrounds, even though they are legacy content
Rule of fun, go for it if that is what the table agrees on. Roll the math rocks; have fun with friends. End of list

They’re giving you an origin feat and a strixhaven feat? Typically, the strixhaven feat is the origin feat.
RAW, you only take the Strixhaven feat.
