This is actually pretty pathetic. I hate to be mean but the service actually tries to sell people on stuff these days yet a ultra basic core part of homebrewing interface like making a dang table still goes for years without even a attempt to put it in. and they jsut want you to either learn html code (Defeating the purpose of the service entirely) or copy it over from other sites. Rather than you know, actually program a basic D&D table button. Honestly it is stuff like this that ensure I do not want to pay the site for anything, cause until they can actually catch up on basic functions why the heck would I pay money.
Sorry but actually infuriating to search for a solution and find this was brought up years ago and they just never fixed their broken service.
This is actually pretty stupid. It's been a question from years ago, and the best solution is to copy and paste it (take a gamble if the formatting plays nicely or not), or to learn how to script it... Which the latter is the supports solution to it.
There's the suggestion to look for it through other D&D beyond content so it fits the style, but that's basically: Buy the content for the content you're wanting to create. What a gimmick, actually support your community.
Using Google Sheets works as well. Just make the table there, then hightlight the part you want, then copy and paste. Worked perfect for mine. Good Luck!!
the WYSIWYG editor doesn't include a button to add table.
Your best bet is to click the Source Code button on the editor (to the left of the word Paragraph) and then add the table that way. The code you want to add is:
Hmm... Let's see if this works. If it does I'll edit in the code used.
Name
Rarity
Description
Sharpened Weapon
Uncommon
Weapons imbued with this enchantment gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls.
Burning Weapon
Uncommon
Weapons imbued with this enchantment deal an extra 1d6 fire damage on a hit.
Blessed Weapon
Rare
Weapons imbued with this enchantment deal an extra 1d6 radiant damage on a hit.
It looked great in the edit box but after posted it forces a table style whether you want it to or not so it removed things like borders and spacing. I don't know if this is a forum thing. Here's the HTML used anyway.
I also think having a table button would be useful and much easier to use and format than having people futz around with HTML code that many people don't learn (why would they?).
In the meantime, however, for you future posters also wanting this, after you've added the "I want this too" post you can add the table in one of 2 ways:
1. Find a table elsewhere on the site: like a Bag of Tricks. Highlight the table, right-click it, and select Copy. In your homebrew in the box where you want it to appear just right-click and choose Paste. Change values as necessary, delete the columns/rows as needed, done.
