I just ordered the D&D essentials kit from target and having it shipped to me in Canada totaled $35.00 CDN so it is just preorder now but it lists the DDB code to unlock it here. My question I have for the DDB folks is the Sidekick gonna have a builder on here for the DM to generate them? I am adding the link below If that is not allowed please delete the link Mods. I was just wondering when will it be available here when I use the unlock code or if someone just wants a digital version?
They try to add new official content so that it is ready to use when the product is released (in the case that the product has an early release through a certain store, it may not be available until released everywhere).

I know that Target has it on its own till September I was wondering about electronic release only purchases. Considering that DDB is the official D&D online seller/tools.

it is an Official D&D online tool, however, it is not owned by WotC so they still have to play by their rules and if they say that they have to wait to release it, then we would have to wait as well. however, i am hoping with the unlock code you can unlock it on Target's release date and not have to wait.
I just checked the regular Target website and it is not even listed. very odd.
Essentials Kit Sidekick rules - I know the dev team are looking at this, but I don't have any further information at this time.
Essentials Kit unlock on D&D Beyond - when you receive your Essentials Kit, it will have a voucher inside to allow you to unlock the digital version on D&D Beyond. You can do this the moment that you receive your Essentials Kit (it will also have a voucher for 50% off the purchase of a Player's Handbook on D&D Beyond as well).
Purchasing the Essentials Kit digital content on D&D Beyond - You will be able to do this once the Target exclusive period has ended.

Thank you Stormknight that answers my question wonderfully, and I am really glad I ordered my kit when I did.
Just to let you all know. If you purchase the essential kit from target, there is a code that is redeemable on Dnd Beyond giving you access to the kit on here. You also get a code for 50% off a PHB on here.
I had the common issue of entering my code due to the sans serif uppercase I/lowercase l issue but got it on the third try, lol. I've offered the 50% off PHB code to my players since I don't need that. (Legendary Bundle owner already).
I and l, O and 0. Depending on font style M and m, O and o, W and w, U and u, P and p, S and s, Z and z, X and x, C and c, and V and v can also be hard to differentiate.

I just want to tell everyone "happy gaming" and actually mean it. Whatever your game is, just have fun with it, it is after all, just a game.
Let's see if we can clear some of this up!

How do you pre-order? I haven't been able to find it on their website.
I couldn't find it to pre-order either, but it dropped today.

I tried my code to get the digital copy of the adventure and it did not work. Is anyone else having this problem?

I bought the player's manual yesterday !
Woo! Congrats. :)

I have tried entering my key code a few times and it is still not working.
Did you swap out lowercase Ls for uppercase Is and the like as suggested earlier in the thread?

Not just the print, apparently.
