No, there are plenty of spells that are part of the OGL (meaning free) and Elemental Evil Player's Companion release (updated to Xanathar's Guide to Everything wording) that are free also and have many spells based on nature and elements that are great for Druids.
Druids prepare spells and know all available spells in the Druid spell list so you need to choose which spells to prepare and you can choose any 1st level or higher spell you have access to for your level. You can prepare a number of spells up to your level plus your Wisdom modifier. So, if you were level 2 character with +3 wisdom modifier you can prepare 5 spells. You can reselect your prepared spells whenever your character completes a Long Rest, should you want to make changes, by clicking "Spells" in the main section of your character sheet and clicking the "Manage" button on the right. In the sidebar that opens you can click on add spells and from there you can unprepare and prepare any spells you have access to.
The problem you are having, however, is that you are Level 2. As a Level 2 Druid you will only have access to 1st Level spells. Like most full-spellcasting classes you will not gain access to 2nd Level spells until you reach Level 3 in the class. You can only choose spells for levels that you have Spell Slots for. You will see what spell slots you get at certain levels by viewing the Druid Class Table found here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/classes/druid#TheDruidTable
I hope this helps.

I'm trying to add a cantrip (dancing lights) to my cleric (granted through a magic item) but cant see a way to add a non-cleric spell to the list, anyone got any ideas?

The more straightforward ways to do this is via homebrew item or feat.
Hey, I just leveled up my bard to level 2 and I'm trying to add Suggestion, but no level 2 spells are showing up, it only is allowing me to add more level 1 spells. Any Help?

A level 2 bard can cast only 1st level spells. Suggestion, being a 2nd level spell, can be cast with a level 3 bard.
Hey, I just made a subclass for fighter that has spellcasting, but it doesn't show me the spell list that I put on the fighter subclass on the character sheet creation.
Spell Levels are tracked differently than XP Levels. You can't cast level 2 spells until you reach level 3 (for most spell casters) - look at your class chart to see when your character can access new spell levels.
I hope this thread isn't closed. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to manually override the spell list so that you can add more spells than is normally allowed for your level. My DM gave my character a spell as a gift last session and told me that I could just add it to my current spells without having to get rid of any of the few that I know. But since I have a full spell list, DnD beyond won't let me add another cantrip without unlearning something. There are so many other ways to custom override things, i was wondering if it was possible to do this as well?

Add it to a feat and add the feat directly to your character sheet.
When DMs give booms like that, feats are the general go-to for implementing them.

If it is a cantrip, the easiest thing is to create a feat or a magic item that gives you the cantrip. You can probably do the same thing with leveled spells, but it might want you to specify how many times it can be used, which doesn't apply in your case. (You could even copy the magic initiate feat for your class and remove everything but the cantrip)
Thank you, I was able to add the spell through the use of a feat. The only issue I have now is that while the spell now shows up in the correct place under my 1st level spells, it does not have the cast button beside it that automatically ticks off one of my spell slots. I am not sure what I need to tweak in the spell editor for the feat in order to make it so that it's the same as normal 1st level spells. Currently, the spell just says "at will" to the left of it.
This is a minor thing as i can just manually click my spell slot but i'd like to just have it neat and pretty like a normal spell if at all possible. Do you know how I need to edit the spell within the feat in order to make it to where I can click "cast" and have it tick off a spell slot as if it were a normal 1st level spell?

I think there is probably not a way to adjust a feat so you see a “cast” button by the spell. But my homebrew editor knowledge is pretty limited. Hopefully some one else can confirm or correct me.

Not with feats at this time. To make it like that, you would have to roll it into a custom version of your subclass, race, or background.

I'm Eldritch Knight level 3 and I can only add Tasha's Hideous Laughter or Floating disk?
That should not be the case. Please post the link to your character sheet. (the actual link, not the share link)

Hey uh, little late, but can't find that on our first level Paladin? Does it appear for that class?
First level paladins don’t get spells.
