Homebrew feats are here, folks! The changelog has step-by-step details on creation.
As noted in the "Things to Note" section of the changelog, only some prerequisites (race/subrace and size) are enforced right now, but soon the others will work too. So go ahead and build them into your feats and be assured that it will function properly soon. Even more cool is that now you can template your homebrew from any content to which you have direct access! Not just in homebrew feat creation, but any homebrew! If you purchased the PHB content here, then you can finally slap that Witch Bolt in your special Blue Dragon Staff! I haven't tried it yet, but I'm intrigued as to whether this homebrew is shareable. According to the log, you definitely don't have access to the purchased content for templating through the content sharing. I don't need the stuff for my campaign to be publicly shared, so that's cool by me if it isn't shareable. I do wonder if I create a homebrew item with purchased content, can that item be chosen by characters in my campaign?
Well... Shoot... Either I misread the changelog, or something's not working. When I try to homebrew a spell using Witch Bolt, it doesn't appear on the list. None of the non-SRD stuff is appearing for me. I have the legendary bundle, so that ought not to be the problem. Dunno what is going on...

I'll take a look at that for you a little later tonight. Once I've finished the prep work for Xanathar's release.
Yea i don't seem to be able to add any purchased content to any of the homebrew sections
Awesome work Hartless! hopefully you get to it soon we understand that it cant be done right away and even you need your sleep on occasion i guess, but i am also eagerly awaiting XGtE too so absolutely love your work
To follow up on my report, at the top of an item with a non-SRD spell, a helpful notice appears to let you know that the item cannot be published. This is so wonderful! And Xanathar's is just a few hours away! I'm giddy!
The not able to be published means I wont have to be as mean when I manage the homebrew queue. (Who are we kidding, I'm still the Mod that rejects all the things [for legitimate reasons]).
Do you know if there is any chance of instead of not allowing it, having the tool tip for unpurchased items point people to where to buy the right material?

This update here goes a long way toward getting my entire playing group on board with D&D Beyond. I can't say thanks enough to the staff and mods!
