The party sets off. Despite the best efforts of Azimuth and Guus, and the… efforts of varying quality from the others, the journey does not go as smoothly as hoped, in part due to the currents, which were not marked on the map at all.
As the light dwindles, the party surfaces. The sun is setting, the sky is red. You can see small islands in the distance, though they look like little more than sandbanks. You could find a nice sandbank to rest in for the night. Or you could continue on to the settlement.
Guus looks over his new companions, sizing up their ability to maintain their pace through the night. "I want to press on, but some of you don't look quite up for it." Guss frowns. "Shall we stop for the night on that sandbank, or are you heartier than you look?"

Eddy moved over to stand with the others. This looked like a competent enough crew. The sooner they were on the move the better in his opinion. “We have no idea how quick this threat is moving, so we need to be moving faster, in my opinion.”
"Very well, good night; I will take first watch just in case. Who wants second?"
(Good question; I would assume we sleep submerged indeed?)

{Yes, you sleep submerged or semi-submerged with about half of your body in the water. As for what that would do to gear, well, we can either say that your bags/backpacks/baskets are watertight or that water just doesn't really damage your gear.}
If you have rations on you, subtract one, unless you choose not to eat. If you don't have rations, you can hunt for fish. {Fish eat smaller fish, so even though locathah are basically fish-people, it makes sense for them to eat fish.} If anyone wants to hunt for fish, roll for survival.
Azimuth takes first watch. The night passes peacefully enough. You can see distant lights on the horizon, most likely from lighthouses. Whether that light would lead you to Saltmarsh is unknown. A few boats can be seen far off in the distance. The moon is a sliver. The map must have slipped out of the bag it was supposed to be in... Who had been in charge of it again? Azimuth grabs it and puts it in a party member's bag before it can float away. It is just about time for someone to take the second shift.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
While we are still in the sea Azimuth will hunt for fish: 13
During the watch nothing happens and after some time he feels he should get some sleep too. He wakes Gilbert to take the second watch.
"Few boats, some lights in the distance; make sure we do not lose the map; it slipped out of a bag just now; put it in your bag. Nothing else happened."

Gilbert’s watch goes smoothly. It’s nearly perfect. Just as he goes to wake up Guus, however, a terrible screech pierces the air. A maddening scream—words cannot describe it. You think it came from somewhere in the water.
{Before you hear the screech} Azimuth, you caught a couple of fish, enough to be equivalent to a day’s ration.
Guus, you caught a ton of fish. You eat like a king tonight.
Gilbert, you caught less fish than Guus, but still a nice amount. You eat your fill of fish.

This done, they play on their lute; nothing coherent, really, just a few different half-finished songs they are practicing (the sound is plucky and strange underwater, but with skill, it turns into a feature of the instrument). They settle to sleep after a while, the lute still in position on their chest.
Other than Gilbert, Guus hears the screech, as Gilbert shook him awake as it occurred. The others still sleep. Perhaps the sound crept into their dreams, but they do not appear to be affected. Also, the screech is not recognizable/identifiable to Gilbert and Guus.
Tack, you caught yourself a good catch of fish. Plenty for you to eat.
Eddy, you were unsuccessful and didn’t catch any. But since Guus, Gilbert, and Tack did so well, they have leftover fish and give you a few. From those 3, you have enough of a dinner that’s equivalent to a day’s worth of rations.

"Onwards, then! Unless, of course, any of you would like to stop? I do have a new tune I've been working on."
“Not everyone appreciates people arriving at night. Maybe try in the morning.” Vooaat settles into a pool.

"Divided is dead. We stick together if we want to succeed. If any cannot go we all cannot go." Guus declares. "We're stopping for the night."
Guus makes his way to the sandbank begins prepping camp.
((Do we sleep underwater, I assume? I'm not sure how camping works for an aquatic creature that has to be submerged at least once every 4 hours!))
((My posting ability is really low on weekends, fyi))
“Very well, we leave in the morning.” Eddy too looks for somewhere to rest, helping Guus with the preparations.

Guus would also like to take a watch, be it second or third.
Before going to bed, Gilbert hunts for fish. Survival: 17
