Shanty steps up next and has his eyes trained on the sahuagin Bubbles has already managed to wound. The bard pulls up his shawm, built according to ancient locathah technique to properly function underwater, and weaves some magic through the resulting but purposeful disturbing notes.
At first, it appears that the notes produce a spectral tentacle to appear from within the nearby wreckage. It whips upward and slashes the wounded sahuagin. (Heavy Sahuagin#2 takes 13 cold damage.)
A second later, however, it becomes clear that the notes had an effect of their own. The sahuagin seems to struggle with some pain within his head, wriggling to one side and then the other. While he does so, he inadvertently swims backwards, ending up 15ft farther away from Shanty than where he was just a moment ago. (Heavy Sahuagin#2 takes 14 psychic damage.)
Edit: Note that the Sahuagin that backtrack 15ft is now outside the Driftglobe's Light range. Only those with darkvision can see him.
(OOC: It has been over 24 hours since Undertow has been called to action. I'm invoking our 24-hour rule and auto-piloting Undertow for this round.)
Undertow can't help but let his lips faintly curl upward at the sight of sahuagins. Despite his young age, the ranger has had plenty of encounters with these foul underwater nemesis, and tries to share some of his knowledge with the group.
-> Undertow's INT check to recall information on Sahuagin (Favored Enemy):19
Despite the thought, Undertow's eagerness to enter combat wins over and he proceeds to do so before any strategic information is recalled. Aware that he is likely one of the few who can currently see the injured enemy Shanty sent back into the darkness, Undertow raises his small crossbow, swims forward a bit, releases a bolt, and swims back to the same spot he was occupying a moment ago.
The bolt stops short of reaching its mark, floating harmlessly in the turvy water. Finally, the ranger orders Riptide the octopus to stay ready to strike should any enemy approach. For that purpose, the octopus swims nearer {P-8}.

Worried about the evil intent of the sahuagin who went missing, Sandlot produces a protective mantle from within a silvery music box (reliquary?) Then, while swimming slowly toward the physical confrontation to the northeast portion of the wreck, a second ray of light from the silver box forms into a bout of flames, which the stunned sahuagin cannot avoid (Light Sahuagint#1 takes 8 radiant damage.)
In a more direct approach, Barnacle swims quickly to Bubbles' aid. In a well-practiced maneuver, the fighter stabs, feints, and stabs again, easily duping the sahuagin into taking the full damage of his attacks. Blood floats our of the six holes Barnacle creates, but the enemy does not seem any slower just yet. (Light Sahuagin#2 takes 32 magical piercing damage.)
Having watched enough of the fight, the more heavily armored sahuagins move forward to take part in it. As they approach, you all notice that their plate-like armor is decorated with the bones of its defeated foes, some of which may have belonged to locathah, you ponder.
The first of them has a grotesquely-jagged blade in one hand and a shield in the other. He joins his brethren in fighting Barnacle, despite his partially frozen foot delaying him a bit. The second carries the same type of equipment, but seems to be favoring his sharp teeth and claws for the moment. He swims quickly toward Shanty.
Barnacle raises his shield for a well-timed block, but Shanty's lack of experience with close-quarter combat shows. The bard has to resort to a magical Shield to avoid the attack.
Barnacle cannot shift his shield as quickly as the enemy shifts his blade, paying for it with a thigh cut. The enemy can sniff his blood in the water. Shanty's Shield holds back another attack. (Barnacle takes 17 slashing damage.)
A quick twist of the grotesque blade cuts Barnacle's lower leg, several inches below the cut to his thigh. A set of lanceolate claws drag against Shanty's chest, bypassing his defensive spell. (Barnacle takes 15 slashing damage; Shanty takes 6 slashing damage.)
One of the sahuagins then flicks a fin toward Undertow. The giant shark, which must be some 30 feet long, responds by flicking its tail to gain speed and opening its jaws for a massive bite. Ready for the assault, Riptideunleashes its coiled tentacles once the shark is close enough.
-> Binding Strike vs. Giant Shark: Attack: 23 Damage: 10
Riptide manages to hurt the shark, but not enough to distract it from furiously crunching down on its master. It's a miracle that Undertow in not cut in half. (Giant Shark takes 10 bludgeoning damage; Undertow takes 41 piecing damage.)
To make matters worst, Riptide's tentacles are not long enough to grapple the shark (more than one size larger than the grappling creature.)
If the wounded Heavy Sahuagin was the one that returns to attack Barnacle, Bubbles will shout a quick curse "The black water take you!" and then move to attack assuming that he can do so without proviking an opportunity attack (otherwise he just shoots straight up at the light Sahuagin and attacks instead) again deciding that charging straight in (Reckless attack) with the pike leading is the best strategy given the result last time.

Bubbles continues to duel the more lightly armored sahuagin just in front of him. The contrast in style between Bubbles and Barnacle is mesmerizing. The fighter jabs his trident with precisely measured movements, accurately aimed vitals, and well-practiced foot/fin-work. The barbarian jams his pike into the nearest enemy recklessly, opening cavernous wounds and causing enough internal damage that it almost doesn't matter what organs were struck. What a duo!
Bubbles' enchanted pike (can we get a name for it?) thrusts forward, bursting into holy light once inside the sahuagin's torso. A second jab at the same spot causes the tip of the pike to appear on the other side of the enemy. Despite the massive amount of damage, the sahuagin is still moving. (Light Sahuagin#2 takes 50 magical piercing and radiant damage.)
(@MuggsHill: He didn't die, so the third/extra attack from the Great Weapon Master feat is not triggered.)
Gulp sees that Undertow is in peril and rushes to his aid. The first strike against the shark is a headbutt which, despite not stunning the target as intended, leads the way in damaging the shark. Gulp follows that up with two more rapid kung-fu chops, each leaving a nearly-instant bruise on the overgrown dogfish. A third chop is attempted, but the delivery is not as hardy (Giant Shark takes 23 magical bludgeoning damage.)
As the monk backs up a bit from the shark, he notices that the previously stunned sahuagin is just now shaking himself awake again.
(@Shadow: If you want, you can use your Emboldened Bond d4 on your tentacle attacks.)
Shanty attempts to trap the heavily armored sahuagin in front of him before whipping the summoned tentacle at him as well. The plan works like a charm, paralyzing the enemy and whacking it on the side of the head. (Assuming you moved the tentacle to within 5ft of the target,) the defenseless sahuagin cannot avoid the attack. (Heavy Sahuagin#1 takes 11 cold damage.)
As a sheet of ice forms over the enemy's left eye, Shanty backs up a bit.

Fighting off the pain and surprise associated with the devastating bite, Undertow quickly shifts from his crossbow to his enchanted short blade and stabs the shark twice. Undertow also commands Riptide to whip the shark with its tentacles.

The locathah-octopus duo deliver blow after blow, filling the waters about them with shark blood. (Giant Shark takes 30 magical piercing and bludgeoning damage.)

-> Glaive-like Pole Arm vs. Bubbles: Attack: 17 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
