Hey howdy! That drawing placeholder is already pretty cool, so I'm pretty excited to see what you come up with.

Hey, are the pauses I take in the campaign for RP purposes too obnoxious? Should I just move on if nothing is supposed to happen from the DM's end? On that note, is the fact that I usually move on after a while too annoying?

I like that you keep it moving along. The fact that’s it’s been almost all RP and no combat might be why we’re seeing less engagement though.
I think the pace is good, it seems to be dragging when it's just two or three of us posting in the pause moments. From what I've seen the RPing works best as we're doing stuff, pure convo is quite hard to do with the waits inbetween.
I think that our pace is awesome but maybe we should slow down a bit. I don’t have literally time to write a new post between two or three more post... this way we are not allowing everyone to develope their characters and play... and provokes that we post actions that are already outdated by the actions of others XD
I am not saying that we wait two or three days between posts but at least one or two hours? XD
Also I think it would be better if we move this discussion thread to a PM. If we don’t post regulary it goes down in the forum pages and doesn’t become useful
Haha, yeah, I went away for two hours and have two full pages to catch up on.
Given how some other PbP threads have gone, I’m not too upset by having to refresh the page so often. The only time it becomes an issue is if two people post diverging storylines. (I assume first-come, first-serve in this case? Can always retcon a later post.)
An hour is probably a good standard between posts, but with one major exception: direct dialogue between DM and a player. In that case, I’d rather see someone finish their conversation than have it drag on forever.
I honestly prefer the thread. I've seen both thread and PM and this is my preference. Also, it nobody has posted in a while, you can always navigate your way here through notifications or subscribed threads.
Hey guys, I think we often get held up at “bedtime.” Lots of no-action posts that drag on a little bit. If we just declare that we’re going to start the sleep/watch rotation, then we can get on to the action of the next day while consuming almost no out-of-game time.
Should we say elves take a shift every night due to needing half sleep? and then if we need three shifts the rest of us can take turns? i might pull folki out of that as he will be hunting everyday and is extremely (RPing) unperceptive; the rest of the characters would have noticed by now and would not want him on watch

Got it. Will take that into consideration in future quests. Right now, I'm actually waiting for you guys to agree on how long you plan to rest.
Guys... can I suggest a couple of things?

So, how would you like for Gendan and Elsara to spar in their downtime?

You guys handle it. just make STR or DEX checks and the highest wins.

Yeah watch and shift pattern are always good to get to the next day
Kres - Aarakocra Monk - Level 1 - Lost Mines of Phandelver
I like this idea.
yeah thats good
I'm assuming that Belgrax isn't with the group at the moment seeing as GoldenAcorns hasn't posted since Thursday?
Nah he's with the group. He just got NPC'd and vegetabled.
Sounds good. If we arrange a standard watch rota as well, we can just have the watches each night be the same people per shift.
Current Player In: The Guild as Elsara Deepmoon
Awesome, our very own 6'8" dragonborn bodyguard.
