This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

(OOC: Anyone in the pool must make a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw to avoid being swept away. A creature that fails to get out of the way can attempt a DC 15 Strength saving throw to hold on. On a failed save, the character is knocked prone and washed out of the crag, taking 1d6 bludgeoning damage along the way. If you make the STR save you can decide to be washed away but not take damage.)
(OOC: If I understand correctly, if we want to be swept away, then we should choose to fail the first save and simply try to make the STR save to avoid taking damage. Should we each roll 1d6 for damage? STR saving throw 12)
Kiselina rushes forward to the tunnel. He thought taking the path would be best, the easiest. Even with the fading light from the pool chamber however, he finds the path covered in water before he properly reaches it. He hears the rush of water to his side as he passes the column of rocks of his right. His momentum carries him into the tunnel, now flooded, and as he begins to leap hurdler-style, something knocks his trail foot out from under him (Marten, Berry, Daphyra?). As he loses his balance, so too does he lose his hold of Vidruth. In a mid-air twist, he drops the injured half-Orc before they both land face-down into the torrent. Kiselina manages to catch a hand-hold (STR check: 21) just long enough to orient himself legs down-stream, right-side up. As his head rises above the waterline, he tries to yell at Vidruth” Hang on to me then!” But he swallows a wave of water halfway through the cry and all that is heard is, “HANG xx xx xx TxEN” before the Paladin for the second time in as many minutes is swept out of the Cragmaw Cavern.
In his fit of desperation, Berry landed a lucky blow against the lock and it sprung open prematurely, or at any rate before he had time to prepare. The sudden drop of the gate and resulting water spill caught him off guard and, even though -out of reflex- he tried to jump away, he was caught in the current before he could react. Scraping against hard rocks and bouncing against soft obstacles, his instincts tried to kick in to control his slide. Was that Kiselina that he spotted while he surfaced for a gasp of air, or was it someone’s pack that he just hit? Despite the circumstances, Berry welcomed the freshness of the water and the prospect of the sun on his skin and clean air around him. Soon, he allows himself to hope.
(Dex save: 8; Str save: 8, or 16 if rage is still active, I tried to keep that open and up to you.)
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.

Embarrassed by his attempt, Nosam watches as his friend seemed to have no issue with the wall at all. Unfortunately, he wasn't ready for the swift result and was on his backside immediately. "That was graceful," was all he was able to mutter before he hears Klarg. He cannot make much out as he gets sucked towards the newly created water slide.
Marten holds onto Daphyra and crouches low in the water as Nosam and Berry hammer on the release pin. Berry's fury is startling, but not as startling as the sudden rush of the water when the gate bursts open. The force rips Daphyra out of Marten's arms.
Marten tries to steady himself so that he can try to stay at the surface of the water flowing down the tunnel, but the power of the water is overwhelming. Marten's feet are immediately knocked out from under him. The flood of water is like some great giant who hurls him out of the pool and then drags him roughly through the tunnel, banging him against the rocks as he goes. He manages to take a quick breath before he disappears underwater and tumbles through the tunnel, carried along by the deluge.
Vidruth slams against the stone creek wall and takes 1 HP bludgeoning damage as he tumbles downstream out of the Cragmaw Crag, followed by Kiselina, whose athleticism keeps him in control of his sliding, and by Marten, whom the turbulent flood rolls head over heels downstream, until he turns an ankle against the creekbed. Berry is able to use his wings to maneuver himself and keep from taking damage, and Nosam, too, controls his motion downstream, until he slams against a wall although his armor absorbs most of the impact. Daphrya is propelled downstream, and her leg catches on a sharp stone which tears a line straight down her thigh.
As you pass under the old rope bridge, archers fire at you – their arrows cracking against the wall or plunking into the stream. But a very large goblin on the bridge is holding another figure – a human – whose arms and legs are tied. The goblin thrusts a knife into the human’s side, and the body tumbles off the bridge into the flood before the large goblin and a force of other goblins crosses the bridge behind you into the pool chamber.
You all crash and tumble, some more controlled than others, down the creek tunnel and out of the Crag. When the water recedes, you are 30’ from the cave mouth, and arrows are shooting out of the darkness toward you, along with goblin threats, although the goblins are not pursuing you yet.
Vidruth and Daphyra are both injured once again, and must make death saves.
And there is a third motionless body there too. It is Sildar Hallwinter! Gundren’s bodyguard! He is alive, but only barely, with scars and bruises all over him, and bleeding from a fresh knife wound in his side. (OOC: he is making death saves).
Kiselina rises to his feet, having practiced this route before, he fairs well this time around. He moves about quickly to asses the wounded, triage. He gasps as he arrives at the unfamiliar human, “Gundren’s traveling companion, Sildar!”
The Paladin never met him, only seeing him, what is it now three days? prior when he and the organizer (Gundren) of the goods left for Phandalin. As such, Kiselina is unsure of the escort’s resilience. “He might be able to tell us more about what happened, he thinks.”
He (Action: First Aid, Medicine: 3) tries to stabilize Sildar, but is too wet and shaken from the quick exit to have any positive effect. “I can’t stop the bleeding from this goblin knife!”

Marten: (part 1)
Marten stands, wincing as he tests his weight no his ankle. He surveys the group and is happy to see that Kiselina, Berry, and Nosam seem to have survived the deluge not much worse for wear. But he sees that they now have a third charge. So much for reviving either Vidruth or Daphyra so that they only have one companion to carry out of here!
As Marten tries to triage the injured, he asks, "Kiselina, are ye plannin' to use your god's healing power on one o' 'em?"
Then Marten starts limping over to (TBD?), already reaching for his healer's kit, but he casts a worried glance to the cave. "Nosam, Berry, could one of you give me some cover while we work?"
Movement: Up to 30' to one of his unconscious companions Action: [Tooltip Not Found], Healer's Kit Free Action: Talking
(OOC: Who Marten attempts to stabilize depends on Kiselina's response. If Kiselina is going to use lay on hands to revive Vidruth, for example, so that the wizard can help with his spells, Marten will focus on Sildar or Daphyra this round.)
Berry tumbles the last few feet before the water recedes and really wants to remain laying for a moment, staring into the sky. Whooshing goblin arrows all around, however, make him reconsider quickly. Berry gets up into a cowing position and orients himself. Kiselina shouts something about Gundren's travel companion and appears to be hunching over ... over a human? "We really got to get away from here! They're bloody shooting at us!" Berry picks up his shield, or whoever's shield it is that lies closest and steps carefully towards the goblins to present himself as the most viable target while preparing to dodge incoming attacks.
Free: pick up/equip shield, no weapon, though Move: to 25 feet from cave entrance, posing as target Action: dodge (if equipping the shield is the action, then dodge is preferred.) Bonus: reach for a healing potion (but realise there isn't one.)
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Nosam looks around and surveys his surroundings, none of that went according to the way he expected. "Do I need to carry one of 'em?" He remains close to the group until they decide to make a run back towards town, at least that's where he assumes they're headed.
Movement: remain close to the group as we move from the cave
Action: Pick up one of the wounded and prepare to carry (if needed)

Berry, equipping his shield, draws goblin fire. Arrows plunk and thwak against the shield as the evil creatures take the bait!
As arrows ricochet overhead from Berry's shield, or slap into the ground nearby, Kiselina and Marten cooperate to stabilize Vidruth, Daphyra, and Hildar.
Nosam takes the lead in carrying the wounded away from the mouth of the crag, but soon, Marten, Berry, and Kiselina are sharing the burden with him.
After an hour, the four are utterly spent, but you feel you have found some safety from the goblins, having turned off a trail and discovered an old, well-concealed lean-to in the woods. Here you wait, and can short rest, and Vidruth and Daphyra can both regain consciousness with 1HP. Hildar, alone, remains unconscious.
Nosam is more than excited to see shelter of any kind. "What you thinkin', crash here for a short rest? And how we gettin' Hildar back on his feet? You notice if we are headed back to town?"
The group reached the relative safety of the make-shift shelter. Kiselina lays his injured companion on the ground and makes them as comfortable as possible. He sees that the other wounded are given similar treatment.
“Perhaps, Master Martin, I should invest in one of those healing kits as well. It might bolster my life saving skills. You appear very proficient with it.”
As the group catches their breath, and it appears that Sildar isn’t recovering quite as quickly as Vidruth or Daphyra, the Paladin begins to pray to Bahamut for direction.
In the meditative state, the Platinum Dragon presents the following vision to his knight, the choice of two paths metaphorically. [A poor peasant tending to his garden discovers an unfamiliar vegetable. Hungry and weak from malnutrition the peasant must choose, harvest the vegetable now and satiate the pains of hunger to live another day, or tend to the plant in the hopes that he may sell the food for money at market.] Kiselina slowly breathes in and ponders to himself, the present need, or the needs of the future?
Having made his decision, the Dragonborn rises and moves to Sildar, briefly explaining before he uses the last of Bahamut’s blessing to lay hands (for 1HP) on the injured human. “I have chosen to revive Sildar, as I weigh our present needs call for more immediate attention than that of an unknown future.”
