Hambergler, who wants to play Thokk Thunderfoot, a druid, VitusW, who wants to play a paladin, ZelocktheDragon who wants to play a sorcerer, ZannatheFangirl, who wants to play a barbarian, Snaylman, who wants to play a stars druid, Aaggie, who wants to play a barbarian/cavalier, NathanAscher, who wants to play a Half-Orc Shadow Magic Sorcerer, Zajmad, who wants to play a barbarian, Tohort21, who wants to play a grave domain cleric, and Chicken_Licken who wants to play a ranger.
That's ten players. I am very happy to see that this proposed campaign has caught so much attention. I'm sad to say that this is probably too many players for me to keep track of. So, we're going to need to figure out how to handle this.
I don't like telling people that they can't play, but I might have to do just that. On the other hand, if I had a co-DM, that could help a bit. If you're interested in co-DMing, let me know.
We can also have a thread that's just for in-character interactions between people within the tribe.
I have been asked about the gods of the tribe. I admit, this concept is still a little bit in its early stages, so I'd like to work together with all of you to flesh out the tribe a bit.
I do know that I'd like them to be nomadic. Nomadic tribes tend to fall into one of two categories: Hunter/gatherers or herdsmen. You could be barbarians who have herds of cattle you look after, which makes for an interesting dynamic. I'd prefer to steer away from the "pillaging" barbarian types, if possible, as that tends toward evil campaigns, and I've never seen an evil campaign work out long-term.
However, a barbarian tribe would certainly have engaged in tribal warfare with other tribes, which is pretty brutal. In short, among the enemies you guys will be facing will be other barbarian tribes.
Ok, here's a place for all of you players to start: Maybe start chatting with each other about ways that your characters' backstories may be linked. This is a tribe, after all, so there is a fair chance that y'all know each other. Even bigger nomadic tribes have a strong sense of community. Once we have that settled, we can start building the lore better.

Thanks for expanding some more on the tribe, that’s really helpful for developing my characters backstory so I really appreciate it. In terms of the high possible player count, I’m happy to possibly step back if it would allow other people to get an opportunity to play, but it seems you’re going to co-DM with ZelockTheDragon so hopefully that will allow for a slightly larger party :) I reckon I’m going to make my character sheet tonight so I’ll post it here when I’m finished, but in the mean time I think it will be great to discuss amongst us about our characters
Oh, also I just wanted to know how often we’ll be expected to contribute/post a day and if any of us are in different time zones (I’m in BMT so I expect there might be a few different time zones)
Personally, I like the idea of having a herd. Still allows hunting-gathering while having the protection of herds as a possible source of issues.
For building possible connections, Tambor Arinahm (Half-Orc Paladin) has the sense of wanderlust and duty to the tribe in addition to a love of nature. Does that sound like something any of you guys' characters would relate to? Perhaps common time spent on watch or fighting would-be bandits?

If any of Tambor's companion's died whilst fighting threats to the tribe and herd, their corpse would have most likely been brought to my character as the undertaker and burial master of the tribe so it could be possible that our characters have met on multiple occasions when Tambor brings any fallen allies to him to be buried?

That's works for me. And between both a Paladin and Cleric, makes some sense to have religious connections.
I know the tribe's pantheon is still being built, but had you had a god in mind? I'd initially had the possibility of Sylvanus as an idea for Tambor's devotion (given the nature stuff) but perhaps could also tie into death/nature with a common god?
Esseer acts as the master of the tribes funerals and burials. He worships the god Kelemvor, and when the tribe settles, he often keeps to himself within a secluded area of the tribes territory when the dead are buried. His connection to the dead, his magic, and Yuan-Ti heritage often cause a few rumours and superstitions to crop up among the tribe, especially amongst the younger members who are less likely to have met him, but otherwise he is generally respected amongst the tribe. He isn't especially talkative, and looks much older than he really is. During the rare occasions the tribe is raided, Esseer prefers to heal and assist his allies from afar rather than take a front role in the fight, which mimics his lifestyle in a way.

Awesome, sounds good, I was possibly planning Kelemvor to be the god that Esseer worships as he is a Lawful Neutral Death God but he could also revere Sylvanus and perhaps focus more on the circle of life aspect of nature and the natural process of death, decay and regrowth? (Sorry for deleting my previous comment it was literally the same except I forgot to quote)
We have a main thread that's just the members of the tribe interacting with each other. It's pure roleplaying.
Then we make other threads to track specific adventures (with no more than 5 players at a time). That way, you can all be part of the tribe together, and part of an over-arching story, but we don't get overwhelmed.
Please quote this post and let me know your feelings on this.

There is at least one day per week where I, myself, will be unable to post (Saturday). I have real life cleric duties that day. So, I'd say an average of two posts per day from everyone. How does that sound?

Have you made your selections yet?
I always thought a ranger was a good balance between combat, skill, and magic. I think that does balance out the party a bit.
Not yet. Have to review what we have so far.
So, currently we have:
Hambergler, who wants to play Thokk Thunderfoot, a druid,
VitusW, who wants to play a paladin,
ZelocktheDragon who wants to play a sorcerer,
ZannatheFangirl, who wants to play a barbarian,
Snaylman, who wants to play a stars druid,
Aaggie, who wants to play a barbarian/cavalier,
NathanAscher, who wants to play a Half-Orc Shadow Magic Sorcerer,
Zajmad, who wants to play a barbarian,
Tohort21, who wants to play a grave domain cleric,
and Chicken_Licken who wants to play a ranger.

I am interested and have created a barbarian for this campaign.

I would be happy to try Co-DMing with you. I have DMd only in person so doing it on PbP is new to me but I am happy to run combat in counters.
That would be awesome! Combat encounters are often my weak point. (Not that I'm a bad DM, just that I do some things better than others).

Are you keeping all 10 players?

Also I've made my character:
Name: Esseer Carascobble
Race: Yuan-Ti
Class: Cleric (Grave Domain)
Background: Outlander
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Ability Scores: 16 14 13 12 10 9 (Standard array with racial bonuses applied)
