Sanford looks around and giggles, “We’ll it seems I’ve worn out my welcome! Thank you all for such a wonderful DANCE! If you don’t mind I think I may head out! Ta ta!” He reaches out to shake Amiz’ hand, casting Shocking Grasp, with advantage because of his metal armour:
Attack: 19 Damage: 7 Lightning Damage.
He then casts Misty Step out of the inn, meeting up with two more Dretch waiting outside for him. They begin to walk off into the night, Sanford laughing maniacally.
"I don't suppose there's a bow in this inn?" asks Draíocht. "Could gift him a parting arrow if there is." He turns to the others, "You guys alright? Should we chase after him? Might be more in those woods right now, but on the other hand he's used up some magic already. Can't keep it up forever."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Amiz is quite injured from the shock "You may chase him, but I am in no condition to do so" says Amiz as he sits heavily in a nearby chair as he does his best to tend to his wounds.
Seems like that’s two votes for staying in the inn and not following Sanford, at least for a while. I’ll wait for about 12 hours for anyone else to put forward another argument. Otherwise I’ll just assume you don’t follow.
"Very well. Let's rest. There were some nasty scratches in that fight." says Draíocht to Amiz. He turns to Wrovak, "I'll help myself to some of that stew if you don't mind." Assuming Wrovak's approval, he'll ladle some into a bowl for himself.

Wrovak wordlessly hands you a bowl of the stew. You can all mark off a Short Rest as the night gets blacker and the residents all sit anxiously waiting for the mad mage to come back. You all sit around and tend to your wounds. When Sanford doesn't return, people slowly start to calm down. Then they begin to chatter.
"Damn this town, damn this bloody place." Says one man, looks like a minor in town for the night. Going back to his drink shaking, some of his friends sit back down with him
"That's it, we're leaving, no more of this madness. I'm sorry everyone but if you want to live you'll be gone in the morning like me and mine." This one a female farmer, she says it as she backs out the door of the inn. Some people walk out after her, muttering similar sentiments.
Most other people are still cowering in fear. No one in the bar thanks you or even acknowledges your involvement. Wrovak is the only one who speaks to you after. "It seems no one noticed that you just saved their lives. It's the way here, people see you ratcatchers as a necessary evil. You can fight sure, but they see you as bringing trouble as much as you get rid of it. It would take more than just one night of fighting to prove you were actually here to protect this place." He shrugs. "But i saw it. Thank you for defending the inn, it's the last place in this town that i still consider home. You can stay here the night if you want, i won't charge. But if there's nothing else you need in town, i'd say it's best if you left in the morning. Just do me a favour and if you go into Kholias... don't come back."
"Nothing a good rest won't fix." replies Draíocht. He adds, "I'm not the fondest of heading after Sandford in the dark in a place where he knows the land. We should probably take watches, but waiting until morning seems like the plan."

Wrovak will shake his head, no bow in the inn.

You’re able to shake off any long term effects of the wounds from the battle. But to regain hit points you’ll need healing or rest.
Amiz will stay put for now and wait for a short rest though if his fellow companions wish to push onward, he would be willing to go.

Amiz lifts his hand in the air "I can use a bit of healing." as the shock and the dretch attack have left him quite wounded.
Valar will go over, place his hand over the injury, and saying a healing prayer, will heal 5 points of damage
