Looking like butter spread over too much bread, Perry nods and runs off to the temple. [0 spells left]
(Can Perry tell exactly how his spell failed? ie, it didn't work through the illusion/divination magic of the bad guy, bad guy resisted, bad guy immune)
The best Perry can gather is that since it was simply an image and not an actual creature that the spell had no effect on it.
The party rushes through the street, you can see guards swarming around you all. Some are guiding citizens, others are running for the smoke column around the city. The group manages to push through the crowds toward the Temple. You can see that people are running to specific buildings in the district, the purple conch shell building and the general store. The temple doors have been blown open the grey bricks have been scorched black. Off to the side of the doors are the two priests you had met earlier. One is tending to the other who is propped up against the wall, robes bloodied. A few civilians suddenly emerge from the temple being shepred by one of the soldiers, unlike the regular soldier however, the entire right side of his body is wreathed in flames. You get the feeling that this might be Soren. He addresses the civilians.
"Quickly. You all head for the General's or Holly's, they'll keep you all safe." And the people run off as he heads over to talk to the priests, upon seeing you all he waves the group over as well.
Sensing Zephyr nearby, Perry closes his dark eyes to look through the amber eyes of the owl. He tries to assess the extent of the damage to the city with an aerial view.
Fenchurch will stand behind tangle, nervously rubbing his wrist. Injured and nearly tapped out of magic, he is willing to help, but unsure if he is able.
"The temple is clear, I've gotten all survivors out. Fried a few of these hellions as well. No sign of the Priestess. How's your man?" The soldier asks the priest. The man look between the two before shaking his head.
"Not good, the attack was so sudden. They came up from the ground, caught us off guard, his wounds.." The priest bows his head. The soldier doesn't say anything but puts his hand on the priest shoulder.
The soldier's attention turns to the party.
"You all I saw you at the battle in the town's square, why are you here?"
Wolf Pup side-eyes Perry, “We are also here to provide assistance. We are seeking the High Priestess to give her information about the monsters that now attack the city.”

"Misstress Narcessca isn't here right now. She was visiting the Boardhouse, said something about speaking to one of the prisoners there. With the way the town is right now I'm not sure she'll be able to reach us anytime soon." The priest says, he reaches over and gently pulls off a rope necklace from the the other priest's neck, a flash of gold shows a small key dangling at the end of it. He then covers the man's head with his hood.
"Goodnight brother, may you find peace within her halls."
"The goblins came up from the vault. I need to get back in there Soren, I need to make sure they didn't take the Orb. Would you all be willing to come with me as well?"
The elf has been quiet, her mind working. Now she looks up. "What is the orb? These are not common goblins, they are directed by some malevolence," and she describes the encounter in the town square with the mastermind figure.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. Here's my D&D stuff. I love it so.
"Oh no, no we must hurry, if that's what they came here for-I-No-no I'll explain after we get there." The priest runs off into the temple with Soren hot on his heels. Following him you see that the ground floor of the temple is a complete wreck. The floors and walls have been scorched, the pews are nothing but splintered wood planks and ash, and there is a large hole that has been blown up through the floor of the temple.
The priest hurries toward the podium toward the back of the room. With Soren's help he pushes the podium over on its side and moves back a rug, revealing a large steel trap door beneath it. He uses the key and another he pulls off from around his own to open the door, and lifts it up light flooding into the newly opened staircase. Both of them then disappear down the stairs, barely giving you all a chance to catch up.
(oh... that’s so cool! Power inhibitors! Love it!)
Wolf Pup will follow the orders! Time is of the essence!
