Xavier accepts 6 gold. "Thanks for identifying the stones. I'll wear the one for fire resistances for now" i vote we head toward the golem labs that moves us toward the center. "If someone has lots of concentration spells they should wear the con proficiency stone " Xavier offers up the stone if someone wants it.
(Both the Potion of Climbing and the Fire Resistance Stone were redundant with Velmine. The first, I explained earlier, the latter should be obvious since I'm a Tiefling. I'm not taking the con proficiency since, as you explained, it'd be better with the casters, and I'm not one of them.)
Corvin shrugs and grabs the potion of climbing since no one else seems to be overly interested in it. "Never know when it might come in useful," he says.
"And with that, we're good, huh? Where to next, captain? We've found a roadblock, and we're gonna need to pick a different path." Velmine looks at Eiren, using that title to address him in jest as is seen by her small grin.
Velmine remembers the map and comments about the options. "A golem laboratory? We'll be fighting those golem creatures? Sounds like a nightmare for me, my weapons are almost certain to do no good if the opponent is made of steel... Or rock... Or whatever else golems are made of. Maybe we could go to the other path and try to see if we find anything useful first?"
"I mean, I'm just sayin'. If I had to take a guess, in all likelihood, we'll have to go visit the laboratories with nothing changed. It makes sense to assume I'll be going there still with this same rapier and daggers regardless of order, but y'know, if there's a chance that won't happen, that'd be good, wouldn't it?"
"Why is a lake of madness a problem? Aren't we all a little mad in some capacity? I know I'll be mad when I have to avoid the fight like I did with the oozes because my efforts don't do anything to the golems that we may find on the other path." Velmine says, at least somewhat confident of what she was saying. She pauses to think on it for a minute to be sure she was stating the truth.
Arcana11 (Assuming Arcana since they're not natural creatures, that's for sure, they're made magically, and so I think it makes the most sense.)
Velmine uses her arcane lore to see what she remembers about golems (I am going to use the Iron Golem's stats, since the name of the first sector in The Iron Golem Foundries). She knows the following information about Iron Golems
It attacks with it's fists, or a weapon, or with it's poisonous breath.
Whenever the golem is subjected to fire damage, it takes no damage and instead regains a number of hit points equal to the fire damage dealt.
It's weapons are considered magical
The golem has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
The golem in immune to the following damage types Damage ImmunitiesFire, Poison, Psychic; Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks that aren't Adamantine
For this campaign I am using the following information to deal with skill checks to find out about monsters
DC5 (very easy): attacks - example: attacks with one of its pseudopods DC10 (easy): abilities - example: can climb walls and slide under doors and through narrow cracks DC15 (medium): damage resistance or damage vulnerabilities - example: does not have any damage resistances nor vulnerabilities or something like damage resistance to acid DC20 (hard): damage immunities - example: attacking with slashing or lightning causes the jelly to split DC25 (very hard): condition immunities - example: it's immune to being blinded, charmed, deafened, exhaustion, frightened, and prone - blindsight out to 60' does not have immunity to any conditions
"Fits great," Corvin responds
Xavier accepts 6 gold. "Thanks for identifying the stones. I'll wear the one for fire resistances for now" i vote we head toward the golem labs that moves us toward the center. Shadow lvl 3 variant feral tiefling rogue Shackled City
Looks like
That leaves a Potion of Climbing, a Stone of Constitution Proficiency, and a Stone of Acid Resistance. Who wants what?
It looks like Corvin has the most spells that use concentration followed by Baik.
Xavier and Eiren are both already proficient in Con saves.
Eiren will wear the acid resistance stone, unless anyone else wants it.

I’ll take that, thank you. Baik says, grabbing the stone for himself. It should come in handy for a lot of things.
(I guess I’ll take the con stone, then.)

Xavier was the only one who had an opinion, he wanted to check out the Golem Laboratories
Velmine remembers the map and comments about the options. "A golem laboratory? We'll be fighting those golem creatures? Sounds like a nightmare for me, my weapons are almost certain to do no good if the opponent is made of steel... Or rock... Or whatever else golems are made of. I offer my opinion but will follow the groups lead. if you are concerned about the golems let's go the other way

Shadow lvl 3 variant feral tiefling rogue Shackled City

Glancing at the map, Eiren says, “When in doubt, go left. I’d certainly like to see what fun is to be had in the augmentation chambers, wouldn’t you?”
He points to the far left of the map, and gathers himself up. “No keys on any of these mages?”

As already established (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/play-by-post/27661-dead-in-thay-game-thread?comment=1715) none of the mages have any keys and you can't move left without a key. You need to backtrack to where you fought the giant blue creature and either pass into the Golem Laboratories (Iron Golem Foundries) or the Far Realm Cysts (Lake of Madness)
"Can't say I lvoe the name 'Lake of Madness' personally. Golem lab seems like a fine next destination to me."
"Why is a lake of madness a problem? Aren't we all a little mad in some capacity?
