Nox avoids the area covered in flower petals and takes a curved path to reach the eastern wall of this first chamber. From there, she unleashes a series of arcane blasts at Karwin, hitting the tortle four times. Each hit forces the already hurt warrior to bob back and forth, though their impact is muted by something on Karwin's shell that she keeps touching as if bracing for the impact (Karwin takes 30 force damage).
LEGENDARY ACTION (end of Nox's turn)
The Shepherd sends another explosion into the center of the room. This time around, the explosion just misses Flynric and Karwin.
-> DEX saving throws {DC 20} vs. a potential 22 fire damage.:
Nox: 18 - no additional benefits apply - takes 27 fire damage;
Graxx: 15 - benefits from his own Aura of Protection and Draconic Ancestry, as well as PB's Aura of Warding - still takes 13 fire damage as I was reminded that resistances to the same type of damage don't stack.
PB: 6 - benefits from Graxx's Aura of Protection and her own Aura of Warding - takes 6 fire damage.
Four: 18 - benefits from his own Aura of Protection - takes 27 fire damage.
Talon: auto fails due to being unconscious but still benefits from PB's Aura of Warding - takes 13 fire damage which translates into first DEATH saving throw failure.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Shepherd follows that up with a call for all the spirits of creatures that died in its lair. They rise from the fog and stare into Flynric's soul:
-> Flynric's CON saving throw {DC 18}: 16 - Flynric takes 15necrotic damage (please round it down).
-> PB also takes 14 necrotic damage due to Warding Bond.
-> PB's concentration check {DC 10}: 23
Somewhat recovered from his wounds, Graxximus can finally swing his mace once again (Vow of Enmity still applies).
-> Mace of Smiting vs. Four: Attack: 27 Damage: 22magical bludgeoning and radiant damage.
-> Mace of Smiting vs. Four: Attack: 32 Damage: 27magical bludgeoning and radiant damage.
-> That Nat20 adds another 14 magical bludgeoning damage, as per the text of Mace of Smiting.
-> For good measure, Graxximus will add a nice base level Divine Smite to that crit there for an additional 25radiantdamage.
-> Also as detailed in the text of Mace of Smiting, Four does not simply go down, he is completely destroyed. I'm afraid this means INSTA-DEATH for our good construct... sorry... horrible time to get a crit there...
-> This forces Four to become unconscious; incapacitated, prone, and to begin rolling DEATH saving throws in his turn.
Graxximus then strides forward and sets an arcane mark on the first enemy that he sees. Flynric cannot fight back this strange fiery aura that now surrounds him (Hunter's Mark). Graxximus then simply steps back into the hallway (CT-22).
(Talon, Flynric, and Graxx are up next. Talon needs to roll a DEATH saving throw and a Blink die.)
Talon bleeds and disappears (DEATH saving throws - successes: 0; failures: 2).
Graxx and Flynric clear some petals from their ears.
-> Graxx's WIS saving throw {DC 18}: 15 - benefiting from PB's Aura of Warding, Graxx takes 9necrotic damage.
-> Flynric's WIS saving throw {DC 18}: 26 - benefiting from PB's Warding Bond, Flynric takes 4.25necrotic damage.
-> PB also takes 4 necrotic damage.
-> PB's concentration checks {DC 10}: 20
Flynric and Graxx's Spiritual Weapon move closer to Karwin, both at {CP-16}. Along with Graxx himself, all three unleash a barrage of attacks on the tortle. Karwin takes 43 magical bludgeoning and radiant damage from Graxx, and 31 magical slashing from Flynric.
The tortle samurai goes down, as do her flower petals... Her body immediately begins to disappear, just like Four's body did a moment ago. Before Karwin's body is completely gone, another Intellect Devourer sprouts out of it, possibly looking for another host.
Seeing one of his champions going down, the Shepherd takes a step to his left and unleashes a brainwave towards all of those agglomerated around Karwin (not a spell).
-> INT saving throws {DC 18}:
Nox: 18
PB: 26
Graxx: 11
Flynric: 18
Thokk: 10 but re-rolls a 3
Intellect Devourer: 20
Graxx and Thokk each take 35psychic damage and become stunned and incapacitated.
Breathing hard now from both mental strain and extrenal wounds, P.B quickly scans the area once more. Her gaze lingers upon Talon, visible to her as a translucent being, but a world away from any of her magics. "I-I..." She clamps on the rest, shakes her head, then presses her warhammer to her temple. "Lady Erathis. Witness me in this final hour. The joy of your order will be stemmied so easily."
Her prayer made, P.B's eyes snap open as she rushes to get in between the half-orc, Graxx, and brain dog; only to hammer into the last with a bear-like roar. Before the divine light of her 1st successful blow has even dimmed, she brings the hammer in a second time to finish the job, if not lay into the half-orc next. Invigorated after the fact, she turns her attention back on to the shepherd, and moves in advance to intercept it.
"I know not fully what you are, creature. But know this -- Your ambitions end here!" She shouts first in common before transitioning in what can best be described as raw feeling and abstract thought made into words(?). The conviction behind it is clear all the same. Though after at her mental command her spectral pursues and hammers into Graxximus(if possible), or her form wavers and fades out existence.
Movement: To {CQ-15). Then to {CR-15} after attacking below targets.
2nd Warhammer Attack 28 Damage: 8 magical bludgeoning on ID, or Half-Orc (if possible after ID is dead from 1st blow).
1st Attack Smite (3rd level) for 17 radiant damage.
(If 2nd attack can be redirected to half-orc, here's the adv. roll incapacitated: 25)
2nd Attack Smite(5th level) for 23 radiant damage.
Movement speed is increased by 10ft due to Blade Flourish: Whenever you take the Attack action on your turn, your walking speed increases by 10 feet until the end of the turn, and if a weapon attack that you make as part of this action hits a creature, you can use one of the following Blade Flourish options of your choice.
Bonus Action: P.B moves her Spiritual Weapon in position to attack Graxximus(if possible). If not, she uses her Firbolg Trait - Hidden Step to become invisible.
(@all: It just occurred to me that Hydra never put in where his ending position is. But I assume it'll be sandwich between Graxx, Ex-Karwin, and Half-Orc guy. If so, assume she moves to CQ-15 instead, and possibly saved her smite for the second attack to finish off the brain dog. Then moved to CT-15.)
(Nevermind. Need to stay within 10ft of the others anyways.)
Translation of Deep Speech:
Your ambitions ends here!
(@Lerus: Also, just realized you can do only one Flourish Option per turn. If you wish to give Graxx back 7 HP from the misplayed Defensive Flourish earlier. Wouldn't change anything as far as Haste went.)
(@Ori: I believe you mean 7 HP to Graxximus, not Graxx. Also, you don't know exactly where Graxximus is since he cut line of sight.)
Sensing that the end is near, PB moves around a bit while swinging her warhammer. She calls for Erathis' aid while almost depleting her grasp at the deity's magic for the time being. But it is all worth it. One fell attack and the disgusting walking brain burns in radiance (Intellect Devourer - CMD: 27 - DEFEATED). She then steps over the dead aberration and puts an end to the dominated half-orc (Thokk takes 31 magical bludgeoning and radiant damage).
Yet another Intellect Devourer pops out of the dying body of a foe {CO-16}. PB doesn't notice it at first (flavor only, not a comment on her passive perception), and moves away to extend her protections to all nearby companions.
When Karwin died a purple smoke came out and going toward Nox healing her 7 hp (Hexblade’s Curse)
She'll move to CQ-17hex the Intellect Devourer followed with Eldritch Blast after that she move to CP-18. Attack: 27 Damage: 18 12 force 6 necro Attack: 26 Damage: 20 14 force 6 necro Attack: 25 Damage: 16 10 force 6 necro
Nox heals a bit (7 HP) as her curse releases Karwin. The aasimar then marks her next target with a Hex and shots her Eldritch Blast while moving. All three blasts easily find their mark and another Intellect Devourer is burn to a crisp (Intellect Devourer - CMD: 54 - DEFEATED).
DM's Screen:
SS: 1
Graxximus storms into the room and moves straight for the foe he had previously identified as being next.
-> Mace of Smiting vs. Flynric: Attack: 15 Damage: 10 magical bludgeoning - Adding a superiority die (Precision Attack) to the attack roll: 5 - Forgot the additional die from Improved Divine Smite:5.
-> Mace of Smiting vs. Flynric: Attack: 15Damage: 17 magical bludgeoning - Adding another superiority die (Precision Attack) to the attack roll: 2 - still misses.
-> Adding a 3rd level Divine Smite to that first attack: 18.
-> And here's the Hunter's Mark damage for that same attack: 4
-> Flynric uses his reaction to cut the damage in half (reference).
The heavy mace hits the halfling once, dealing a total of 9 magical bludgeoning and radiant damage to Flynric.
-> PB takes the other 9 magical bludgeoning and radiant damage.
-> PB's concentration check {DC 10}: 21
Graxximus then poofs out of sight and reappears at {CW-20}
(Talon, Flynric, and Graxx are up next. Talon needs to roll another DEATH saving throw and a separate Blink roll as well. Graxx's turn is mostly wasted but he can roll a INT saving throw {DC 18} at the end of it to try and wake back up.)
Talon pops back into the room just to breath his last... Now lifeless, the dwarf's body jumps back into the Ethereal Plane for another moment.
Graxx continues to struggle. He manages to keep his balance but is otherwise completely out of sorts...
LEGENDARY ACTION (end of Talon's turn)
The Shepherd places his hands on his head and once again unleashes a brainwave towards all of those agglomerated around the northern door (not a spell).
-> INT saving throws {DC 18}:
Nox: 17
PB: 14
Graxx: 9
Flynric: 22
Graxx, PB, and Nox each take 29psychic damage. PB and Nox also become stunned and incapacitated.
Flynric is suddenly the only one still up and fully aware of his surroundings.
Terrified for both his friends and his life, Flynric takes a second to attempt to shake Graxx awake. If he sees some stirring from the dragonborn, then he well move to PB and repeat the process (using Cunning Action if needed). If nothing happens, then he will turn and run as far as his legs will take him (again, expending Cunning Action as needed) through the door where Thokk formerly stood guard.
Flynric shakes Graxx but that does not seem to help the dragonborn regain his senses. Noticing his plan is not working, the halfling instead decides to retreat into the unknown. Flynric runs all the way to {CR-4}, noting that both the hallway and the fog simply continue going farther and farther.
The Shepherd then finally moves away from his spot, approaching the nearest stunned foe. Once next to PB, he begins to wrap his tentacles around her cranium:
-> Tentacles vs. PB: Attack: 31 Damage: 25psychic damage.
-> PB's INT saving throw {DC 20}: 24;
-> Despite the success, PB still becomes grappled. The damage is also enough to force her into being unconscious, incapacitated, and prone. This is all in addition to already being stunned. All else equal, PB must begin rolling DEATH saving throws in her next turn.
DM's Screen:
Rc: 2

Int.. Thing(DC 18): 14.

(For the record, her invisiblity lasts until the start of her turn. But I assume it didn't matter b/c of above mention thing or something along those lines.)
Over and over again, P.B's mind spiraled once more into oblivion to remain trapped... like so many others.
A shield hovers over the unconscious Talon.
Nox avoids the area covered in flower petals and takes a curved path to reach the eastern wall of this first chamber.
