Tupoc spends his reaction to glance at the metal on the mind flayer. Perception: 11
On his turn, Tupoc again struggles to slip out of his bindings (Acrobatics: 15). Assuming he escapes, the couatl moves to DJ-1 to attempt to pin in the shepherd. As he does not attack, he still benefits from Sanctuary
((Oh! I did not know you were waiting, guess I wasn't paying attention! My bad))
If Selrahc can, he will just run to the Shepherd and make use of his Multiattack feature:
-> Claw vs. Shepherd: Attack: 15 Damage: 8
-> Claw vs. Shepherd: Attack: 13 Damage: 8
-> Claw vs. Shepherd: Attack: 15 Damage: 9
-> Bite vs. Shepherd: Attack: 16 Damage: 9
If any of those attacks hit, and I can use the Barbarian's bonus to damage while raging, please add a +4 for each hit.
If he can't, then he will make use of his Intimidating Presence feature:
You can frighten a creature that you can see within 30 ft. If it can see and hear you, it must succeed on a WIS saving throw (DC 13 or be frightened until the end of your next turn. You can use your action to extend the duration of this effect each turn, unless it moves out of line of sight or more than 60 ft. away from you.
(@Superbad: sorry but those were some sucky attack rolls... Also, Intimidating Presence takes an action, as does Multiattack.)
Selrahc approaches the Shepherd taking the shortest possible path and unleashes a barrage of claws and fangs, including some from his mini back arm (it’s canon...?). The Shepherd raises an ornate shield and blocks all the attacks. Selrahc recognizes this as the shield, +1 that Sigil used to carry around.
Graxx approaches the Shepherd {DJ-3} and attacks with blade and bolt, the latter of which has no effect. The Shepherd begins to bleed profusely, taking 46 magical piercing damage.
Graxx then retreats to {DL-1}.
The Shepherd stares at Tupoc:
-> Shepherd’s WIS saving throw vs. Sanctuary {DC 17}: 20
Tupoc then feels a crackling cord of negative energy that now tethers him to the Shepherd. There is no immediate effect, though.

Yessaris reappears at DM-2, pistol cocked and ready to fire immediately upon the shepherd. Short of misfire or the creature's magics giving him pause between shots to consider a new target, both are fired upon the tentacle monster as he called out dispassionately, "Barney. Pick up the pace."The warning given, he boldly strides up to stand behind Selherac(DL-2), the mist once again gathering about him.
Action: Armament Attack on Shepherd.
AA 1st Attack: Repeater Shot: 19 Damage: 14 magical piercing.
AA 2nd Attack: Repeater Shot: 14 Damage: 11 magical piercing.
Yessaris reappears ready to shoot but both of his bullets land on dry patches of tentacles on the wall, his aim a bit off this time around. His blinking spell fails to trigger, giving the snaky man a chance to better hear the approach of his machine pet. It’s steps are heavy now, and can be heard just beyond the western wall. With a burst, a lizard like construct breaks through the wall, tentacles and all, revealing that some of the live wall-appendages were hiding a door.
-> Barney appears on {DR-4}, but has already spent its turn to get there.
Abe tries to shoot a few arrows past Selrahc’s large shape. In his caution, only one projectile hits, but it is quite an accurate one. The arrow pierces the Shepherd’s chest, but fails to bring him down. Tupoc feels a tug on the crackling tether:
-> Tupoc’s CON saving throw {DC 18}: 29
The Couatl-hybrid is able to resist whatever that was, unlike his foe (Shepherd takes 27 magical piercing damage).
LEGENDARY ACTION (end of Abe’s turn)
The Shepherd extends his damaged tentacles toward Selrahc:
Tentacles vs. Selrahc: Attack: 31 Damage: 19psychic damage.
-> Selrahc’s INT saving throw {DC 20}: 10(Aura of Protection)
For his turn, the Shepherd continues to attack Selrahc’s head:
-> Extract Brain vs. Selrahc: Attack: 21 Damage: 29 piercing damage (already halved due to Tough Skin).
To the extent possible, the Shepherd uses the large monstrous body of the Xorn-hybrid to shield himself from incoming attacks. He moves to {DJ-3} and drags Selrahc along.
Additional damage depending if the attacks hits. First hit: smite (lvl4) + Absorb Elements 1d6 fire: 43 38 radiant 5 fire damage, if crit 70 second hit: smite (lvl3): 19 radiant damage third hit: smite (lvl3): 23 radiant damage
Tupoc tries to constrict the fleeing Shepherd, but he uses Selrahc's body to block the incoming attack (Sanctuary drops). The hulking Xorn-hybrid cannot react and remains grappled.
Nox steps forward and finds enough of a gap between the wall and her ally to swing her charged staff. Only the third swing hits, causing 33 magical bludgeoning, radiant, and fire damage. The shepherd can barely stand now...
LEGENDARY ACTION (end of Selrahc's turn)
The Shepherd continues to munch:
-> Extract Brain vs. Selrahc: Attack: 18Damage: 28piercing damage (already halved due to Tough Skin).
The tentacles try to crack a rock in Selrahc's head, but fail.
Tupoc launvhes himself into the air, flying up and over the shepherd, blocking his escape. He then launches into a full round of attacks, striking twice with his fists and once with his sharp fangs.
Attack: 11 Damage: 11 Magical Bludgeoning
Attack: 18 Damage: 8 Magical Bludgeoning
Attack: 30 Damage: 12 Magical Piercing; on hit target makes a DC16 constitution saving throw or becomes poisoned for 24 hours.
Tupoc lunges forward and over the Shepherd, attacking him in the process. It is a tight fit between his foe and the ceiling, but the Couatl-hybrid's body shape works in his favor. The Shepherd manages to raise his shield in time to block the two punches, but is caught by surprise by the bite. While he still has his tentacles wrapped around Selrahc's cranium, The shepherd's own head is bit off by Tupoc.
Graxx arrives in time to double-tap the Shepherd, who is now on the floor. Third time fighting it was the charm... (Shepherd takes a combined 78 magical piercing damage and is DEFEATED).

RESOLVING REACTIONS
Both Nox and Abe perform similar incantations, in full synchronization, absorbing some of the fiery explosion and halving the damage they take.
Tupoc tries to glance at the glint coming from the Shepherd’s direction but an extra wall-tentacle slaps his face right at that moment.
Graxx is unhindered in peeking:
You recognize the large belt the Shepherd is wearing as the Belt of Dwarvenkind that Charles used to where back when he was still a halfling.
(I’ll resolve Graxx’s and Tupoc’s posted turns at the beginning of the next initiative round. For now, we are still waiting for Selrahc’s turn.)
((Oh! I did not know you were waiting, guess I wasn't paying attention! My bad))

THE RETURN TO THE FOGGY PASTURES:
NOTE: This is the map before Tupoc’s and Graxx’s already posted turns.
(I’ll resolve these turns next: Tupoc and Graxx.)
Tupoc wiggles out of the last few tentacles holding him and moves to {DJ-1}.

Graxx would like to use his cat claws to climb along to move alongside the Sheperd as well as his bonus action to dash to eventually end up at DI,-4.
As Graxx passes by the Shepherd he will slice with his rapier.
