Roselina is very surprised to see as the man had actually come back before Vrakvroth talked about their quest and how he is someone that may be able to help them. Is Vrakvroth really saying this out loud, forgetting what the brothers had said about spies being all around? She had heard Rictavio tell them to go upstairs, nodding while following him and Vrakvroth.
"Rudolph van Richten is my Master, and I can't say anymore than that - there may be Vistani spies nearby." The beast from within the cart responds.
Meanwhile, back at the tavern, Rictavio has led you up to his guest room. He ensures everything is shut, pulls the shutters of the window to, and then pulls off his hat. The half-elf form changes into a human form of an older man, greying hair and walking with a cane. "Sorry about the deception, but Strahd's spies are everywhere. Let me reintroduce myself. My name is Dr. Rudolph van Richten, professional vampire hunter," he says quietly to those in the room.
Ebur asks the beast some other questions unrelated to Strahd or Rictavio, but more treated to life as a beast - favorite foods, hunting styles, grooming techniques, etc. Then he'll eventually return to the tavern, and sit in the common room wondering where the others are.

Ebur finds out that the beast is fond of raw meat and is definitely a hunting animal of some kind, but also loves the taste of the Strahd-Alligned Vistani. Returning to the tavern, Rictavio and your companions are not in the taproom as you look around.
Roselina watched Rictavio take off his hat, very surprised as he changed from a half-elf to an older human man. She nodded back as he apologized for the deception, introducing himself as a professional vampire hunter. "Seems the old woman was right about how you would be helpful to us. What do you know about Strahd and his spies? What would be the best way to stop a vampire such as him?" she would then ask Dr. Richten.
Van Ritchen nods and says "Well, the best way to deal with him is to deal with his spies, the Vistani. There's a camp of them staying just outside of town." Rudolph answers. "I've been trying to identify the Keepers of the Feather members - those ravens on the roof? Their not normal ravens - they also do not like Strahd, and I've been trying to find out if they can be trusted. Just because someone doesn't like him in this world, doesn't mean that you should take them at their word, after all," he replies quietly.
Vrak smiles at the revelation of who the man is and what he does.
"A vampire hunter eh? Excellent. Is that what Strahd is then, a vampire? That will certainly complicate things and make him difficult to kill."
Vrak continues,
"There are other things and places we seek to aid us in this quest we have ventured on. What do you know of a pool blessed by the light of the white sun?"
"The pool with the white sun? There's no sunlight in Barovia, that much I know. There used to be some sort of order that was also against Strahd, but they were defeated. Maybe it has something to do with that?" Rudolph ponders. "And not all the Vistani are spies for Strahd, like not all Dragonborns think in similar ways to their ancestors. They do get special treatment, they are the only ones who can freely travel through the mists - only Vistani are not affected by it. Everyone else avoids it, it's dangerous," he answers regarding the Vistani.
"But I'm looking to identify the ravens up on the roof - as I mentioned their wereravens, and also do not like Strahd. If I can identify them, I can try and get some support in bringing Strahd down," he comments.
Quilrith think for a moment... "Hold on, I think we have someone who can help with that" Quilrith rushes from the room, before compositing himself and slowly descending the staira, he walks over to Ebur, and whispers for him to follow. Before going to the bar and ordering a tray of drinks. He waits patiently before taking the drinks upstairs.
After the barman places the drinks on the tray like he has a thousand better things to do, you all head upstairs with the tray and back to where the rest of the group are. Inside with the group is an older human man with greying and receding hair that has been brushed back, a pair of glasses, and walks with a cane. "Ah, good to see you two again, I hope you liked conversing with my pets. And I do not appreciate being followed, " he says dryly looking at the both of you.
Ebur doesn't understand the concept of 'embarrassed', or have the social skills to be pick up on sarcasm. He simply states:
I was surprised to learn that Strahd-aligned Vistani have a different flavour than the other variety. I assume you must be Rudolph van Richten. Hello. Where did the other fellow go? Rictavio?
Then when the illusion is explained, Ebur shrugs thinking it was a good trick, but not as useful as turning into a cat, right?

"Mmmm, I wonder if the reference to a white sun might mean the moon. A pool blessed by the light of the moon perhaps."
Vrak then explains to Ebur the issue's with the birds.
"He is looking to identify the ravens up on the roof - as mentioned they are wereravens, and also do not like Strahd. If he can identify them hecan try and get some support in bringing Strahd down. Do you have some abilty there? "
Ebur replies: Ah, I thought there was something about them. I can communicate with the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air - these are natural creatures. But if these ravens indeed be lycanthropes, then they are a not natural creatures, and may be outside my power. But if they be ordinary ravens, then I may prevail upon them to speak with me.

"Well. I need to see how you all handle yourself, so I do have a job to do, and if you do want my help, you'll join me," Rudolph said, returning the hat to his head and once again transforming before everyone's eyes into the half-elf Rictavio. "There's a vistani camp to the southwest of here. Not all the Vistani are in league with the devil Strahd, in fact there is one that I used to know, was a protege of mine, you could say. So, we need to find out if these Vistani that are staying outside the town pose a threat as spies for Strahd. Then, I'll introduce them to the one you saw me feed and spoke to Ebur," Rictavio says. "And if you are able to identify any of the Keepers of the Feather, let me know so that I can speak to them and try and get them to help us," he added on after everyone thought he was pretty much done.
Roselina was listening to Rudolph, nodding as he told them that he has a job for them in order to see how they all handle themselves before transforming himself. He wanted to know if these Vistani to the southwest of here are possibly spies for Strahd and if they are, introduce them to something that only Ebur knew while also wanting them to let him know if they identify any Keepers of the Feather. "Alright, you have a deal then. Finding out if they are spies should be easy enough. Shall we do this now or in the morning? What do you know about the Burgomaster here, Baron Vallovich since he seems to be very much against Strahd as well?" she had said back to Rudolph.
