Free to choose his own target, Graxx runs past Neya to deliver a deep slash to the Kuo-toa Leader's belly. It is hard to believe the humanoid fish is still standing, but alas... (Kuo-toa Leader takes 22 magical slashing and radiant damage). An attempted second reckless attack passes a bit too close to the friendly monk, and as such, Graxx diverts it to purposefully hit the ground instead.
Breathing hard, Graxx closes his eye for another moment, realizing that Tempus' battle fury has run its course for now.
-> Graxx is no longer benefiting from Rage.
Glühoofmaneuvers around the fight between the Creature of the Wood and the Kuo-toa Warrior and brings its rider closer to the eastern front. Before arriving at {CK23}, Utar commands his floating warhammer to swing at the dying Leader but the weapon fades before it completes its arc. Next, the cleric draws from his recently acquired pain and prays to Torm once more. Upon opening his eyes again, Utar notices he has been joined by four very familiar horsemen. Their forms glow in their own light, though seem ethereal in nature. Their faces are soothing, yet battle-ready. They smile at seeing their long lost half-orcish companion, yet do not speak a word. Their horses maintain a stoic visage, yet their legs fade into a type of misty light.
-> Shortsword Cultist's WIS saving throw {DC 14}: 10
-> Greataxe Cultist's WIS saving throw {DC 14}: 16
Grewalt's spirit is the first to act, shooting a crossbow bolt straight at the shortsword-wielding cultist. The bolt disappears into nothingness just a few feet after leaving the spirit's weapon, but it seems to hit nonetheless (Shortsword Cultist #2 takes 11 radiant damage). Abet's spirit is next to step up, bringing down his massive club at the nearest greataxe-wielding cultist (Greataxe Cultist #1 takes 5 radiant damage). The club hits the ground heftily but does not emit sound or splash rainwater. It does, however, produce a shock wave. Either that or a gust of wind from the ongoing storm chose the perfect time to pick up. Either way, the hoods of the two targeted cultists fly back, revealing the faces of a male drow with slender accents (shortsword) and a male bearded human with brutish features (greataxe).
(Luck rolls so far: Bad luck: 6; Neutral: 2; Good luck: 2)
Most villagers look mesmerized by Utar's spirits, but one of them seems to have had enough of the fighting once these bright ghosts joined in. This villager runs away from the scene quite carelessly, hitting the back of a palisade at full speed and dismantling it.
-> Random palisade is destroyed: 2 -> the palisade at {CI21} is no more.
The villager knocks himself unconscious in the process.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bleeding all over the place, the Kuo-toa Leader calls forth its own Spirit Guardians (4th Level). They appear around the Kuo-toa as a large school of anglerfish, each with its own deep-blue light hanging in front of its toothy maw.
-> WIS saving throws {DC 14}:
Graxx: 12
Neya: 22
Rolling for damage: 16 necrotic
Though they are able to avoid some of the bites, both the monk and the barbarian can't quite evade all of them (Neya and Graxx each take 10 necrotic damage).
-> Foregoing Graxx's WIS save against his curse here because he is already fighting the Kuo-toa Leader... and because I may have forgotten... one of the two... :)
To the east, the two other cultists who have remained mostly quiet until now call a magical white veil to fall on top of each of their heads (Sanctuary) with one hand before gesticulating with the other and bringing some flames up from the ground.
-> Glühoof's DEX saving throw {DC 13} vs. Flame from the Deep: 2, Damage: 11 radiant.
-> Glühoof's DEX saving throw {DC 13} vs. Flame from the Deep: 17, Damage: 4 radiant.
Utar's mount is burnt badly by the (un)holy flame-like flashes. This is the second time this poor horse has been close to death in the last minute or so.
Ulburto springs back into action and runs to the eastern front as well. On the way there, he helps the Creatures of the Wood in their fight against the Kuo-toa.
Edit: The Kuo-toa Leader commands its claw to attack a prone halfling in a last-ditch attempt at some success:
Doozey 's head is crunched until he can't breath (Doozey takes 12 force damage and becomes unconscious and incapacitated on top of already being prone. He must begin rolling DEATH saving throws in his turn).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"If its not one thing, it's another!" Neya shouts as she swats away the spectral fish trying to find an opening to strike at their conjurer.
Quarterstaff Attack: 23 Damage: 11
Extra Quarterstaff Attack: 16 Damage: 7
Bonus Unarmed Attack: 14 Damage: 11
Regardless of if she takes down the Kuo-toa leader, she goes to and remounts Garnet and rides her to start helping out on the other side of the village (to CN15).
(If the first attack takes the Kuo-toa leader out, the extra attack will be a shortbow attack against the cultist at {CN26} and there would be no bonus attack)
"For the love of Big Mama! This is one determined deep dweller!" Doozey says, finally allowing a note of respect and awe to enter his voice. But then its back to focusing on his target, standing up once more to shoot one last time at the Kuo-Toa Leader. Though if Neva strikes it down, his attention turns on one of the chanting cultist, marking one as prey.
Movement: Stand-Up. Action: Light Crossbow - Attack: 20 Damage: 16 non-magical piercing and magical lightning damage on Kuo-Toa Leader.
Bonus Action(IF Original Target Falls): Move Slayer's Prey, on closest cultist(If within 60ft).
If Wis Save is Needed For Sanctuary: 11.
(If above failed, change to any non-sanctuary cultist target and subtract d6 roll).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(@Ori: I'm happy to take that 1 that was halfling-rerolled into an 11 as your first DEATH saving throw. Or perhaps you'd like to use your DM's Inspiration token so that the Leader rerolls its attack? Let me know).
Doozey falls but hangs from the corner of the roof, his arm dangling (DEATH saving throws - successes: 1, failures: 0).
-> Doozey's grip on his crossbow loosens and Crimson Rite is dropped.
Neya finds herself having to swat away some spectral anglerfish again:
-> Neya's WIS saving throw vs. Spirit Guardians {DC 14}: 3, Damage: 13.5 necrotic (already halved).
The monk is still bitten here and there (Neya takes 8 necrotic damage).
Still up for a fight, Neya ensures that these were the last of the Leader's magical tricks by pummling its face inward (Kuo-toa Leader takes 9 bludgeoning damage and is DEFEATED). The human warrior then remounts her mare and rides toward the eastern front. On the way, she sees an opportunity to stick a leg out and kick the Kuo-toa fighting the Creatures of the Wood (Kuo-toa Warrior #4 takes 10 bludgeoning damage). Neya also almost finds the time to shoot an arrow, but the shot is rushed and lands harmlessly on the mud.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Kuo-toa and the Creatures of the Wood continue to battle it out. They even ignore the Rot Grubs on the ground now that the fishman has their full attention.
-> Spear vs. Creature of the Wood {CL12}: Attack: 7 Damage: 4 piercing.
-> Fist vs. Kuo-toa {CL11}: Attack: 5Damage: 1 bludgeoning (see edit at the bottom of this post).
-> Fist vs. Kuo-toa {CL11}: Attack: 21 Damage: 1 bludgeoning.
The Kuo-toa carves out another chunk of slimy flesh from the closest foe (Creature of the Wood #3 takes 7 piercing damage). Its arm falls off and it is unable to punch the fishman in return. Its ally moves forward slowly and slaps the Kuo-toa on its behalf (Kuo-toa Warrior takes 5 bludgeoning damage).
To the east, the cultists acknowledge Utar's and his posse's arrival. One of them even braves the holy area around the cleric (two others are already there).
-> Top of their turn damage roll for Spirit Guardians: 16 radiant.
-> Three WIS saving throws {DC 14}: 6, 17, 17
Burga steps forward an unceremoniously swings her flail at the cultist that looks the weakest. The drow cultist looks fine at first but then falls to the ground, succumbing to some internal injury (Shortsword Cultist #2 takes 7 radiant damage and is DEFEATED). Ilim looks like he is conjuring some sort of holy light in his palm. He never releases it, but the larger cultist screams in pain nonetheless (Greataxe Cultist #1 takes 14 radiant damage). A third cultist, also wielding a greataxe but still able to keep his hood up, approaches to attack Utar, but Grewalt gets to him first (Greataxe Cultist #2 takes 7 radiant damage).
Despite his spirits' effort, the two axe-wielding cultist do reach Utar. They go at the cleric and his mount Recklessly:
-> Greataxe vs. Glühoof: Attack: 7 Damage: 5 slashing (see edit at the bottom of this post).
-> Greataxe vs. Utar: Attack: 24 Damage: 9 slashing.
Glühoof is almost decapitated once the axe hits his neck (Glühoof takes 15 slashing damage and is DEFEATED). Utar begins to fall to the side but a second axe catches him, at least initially (Utar takes 6 slashing damage). As the axe is pulled back, the half-orc tries to keep his balance:
-> Utar's DEX saving throw {DC 10}: 15
The slicing blow and the suddenly limp horse are too much for the armored cleric. He falls prone on the ground.
A few steps away, a fourth cultist tries to do away with the last pieces of palisade in his vicinity:
-> Shortsword vs. Palisade {CM26}: Attack: 8 Damage: 4 piercing.
And he does just that. Utar tries to keep his spell up as the wooden planks fall to the ground:
With this rage leaving the extent of Graxx's wounds start to catch up with him. He feels the pain of his injuries and knows he doesn't have much time left. So far this been a battle worth of Tempus. He must keep it that way.
Graxx moves to CL,10 and attacks the Kuo-Toa fighting with the creature of the wood.
Graxx rages.
"TEMPUS" he shouts as a little blood come shouts with a little blood coming from his mouth.
Graxx swings his sword from side to side twice at the fish both recklessly and with great weapon mastery.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Utar stands, his promise to his horse ringing hollow in his ears. He glances around at the cultists, then selects the likeliest target for retribution... The one who slew Glühoof!
Utar swings Lightbringer in a large, overhead arc, looking to crush the head or shoulder of the cultist.
Attack: 21 Damage: 10
Lost in his fury, he then swings again, hoping to put his for down.
-> Picking the lowest of the three possible rolls (27, 13, 8): 8 - The attack misses and Doozey is still up.
RESOLVING DOOZEY'S TURN
Doozey stands back up and notices that Neya has put an end to the Kuo-toa Leader, though his spectral claw still floats next to the halfling. He refocuses his Slayer's Prey on the closest cultist (that would be Greataxe Cultist #1). Unable to aim his crossbow at one of the cultists now covered by a White Veil, Doozey shoots at the marked cultist instead. The bolt dives into his forearm (Greataxe Cultist #1 takes 16 piercing and lightning damage).
-> Doozey's attack happens before the cultist attacked UtarRecklessly.
Noticing the fight has moved to the east part of the village, Graxx turns around and calls Tempus' battle Rage back into his veins. He runs to the closest enemy in sight. The barbarian easily puts an end to the skirmish between Kuo-toa and Creatures of the Wood (Kuo-toa Warrior #4 takes 29 magical slashing and radiant damage and is DEFEATED).
(@MB: All attacks against the Greataxe Cultist have advantage because he attacked you Recklessly. Here's a second roll for your bonus attack: 17).
Utar quickly stands back up and feels his blood boil. He now seeks revenge for Glühoof's death (Graxx must be proud). He hits the cultist in front of him twice with his hammer, both blows landing on his chest (Greataxe Cultist #1 takes 15 magical bludgeoning damage).
Now face-to-face with both axe-wielding cultists, Utar notices that they are both human, and sort of resemble each other.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The spellcasting cultists in the back (you now take it they are priestess of some kind) each call forth a Spiritual Weapon of their own. They are both shaped in the form of twisted daggers, and one of the priestesses walks five feet forward before casting the spell. One spectral dagger appears behind Utar, the other right in front of Garnet:
Persistent in their attack, both priestesses call another lick of flames from the ground:
-> Utar's DEX saving throw {DC 13} vs. Flame from the Deep: 12, Damage: 11 radiant.
-> Garnet's DEX saving throw {DC 13} vs. Flame from the Deep: 11, Damage: 8 radiant.
-> Neya's DEX saving throw {DC 10}: 25
Neya's mount cannot avoid two quick attacks in succession and succumbs to the flames from below (Garnet takes 8 radiant damage and is DEFEATED). The monk jumps in the air and performs a three-point landing, giving the impression that she might have had to dismount a dying horse before.
Ulburto dashes eastward but is not quite close enough to engage the cultists just yet. Now with the fight so close to them, the crones shift their focus from healing the villagers with their boiling salt water to throwing rocks at the invaders.
-> Together, the thee crones grant one help action against any cultist.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Seriously...? What do you guys have against horses?"
Neya moves closer to these new foes (CN20) and fires two arrows at the cultist directly ahead of her (CN27) that is being kept busy by the crones' rock throwing.
Shortbow (with a crone's help) Attack: 25 Damage: 7
Extra Shortbow Attack: 24 Damage: 6
She keeps her wits about her for other attacks from the spectral dagger and retaliation from the cultists.
"A lot, apparently, Miss Neya." Doozey calls out as he lines up another shot at the marked axeman. Just moments before the shot, he hears Biscuits boofs and looked about ready to jump off and help. 'He'll be fine, ya daft bastard. Stay focused'He chided mentally, refocuses his aim, and fires at an unguarded abdomen.
Action: Light Crossbow - Attack: 29 Damage: 20 non-magical piercing and magical lightning damage(5 total) on Greataxe Cultist #1.
Neya moves forward while shooting her bow, but both arrows are aimed a bit too high to hit her target. She prepares for her next move by paying close attention to the enemies' movements.
Doozey aims his next shot carefully, certainly piercing a vital organ or two (Greataxe Cultist #1 takes 20 piercing and lightning damage and is DEFEATED).
Biscuit does Biscuit things (so many poor rolls for the poor dog...)
-> Fist vs. Rot Grubs {CM12}: Attack: 19Damage: 3 bludgeoning.
Only a few maggots remain now (Swarm of Rot Grubs takes 1 bludgeoning damage). The fleshy creatures begin to move east.. slowly.
Abet swings his giant club from one side to the other in a sweeping motion. The club looks heavy but its movement makes no sound.
-> Greataxe Cultist #2's WIS saving throw vs. Spirit Guardians {DC 14}: 1, Damage: 8 radiant.
The fit cultist ducks out of the way, but finds his ears ringing nonetheless (Greataxe Cultist #2 takes 5 force damage). The man immediately retaliates against Utar(Reckless Attack):
-> Greataxe vs. Utar: Attack: 20 Damage: 10 slashing.
Grunting in pain from the slash across his stomach, Utar can see his attacker off balance and decides to press home his advantage, swinging twice as before.
Attack: 12 Damage: 6
Bonus Attack from War Priest (last one): 21 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

(Neya and Doozey are next).
"Seriously...? What do you guys have against horses?"

"A lot, apparently, Miss Neya." Doozey calls out as he lines up another shot at the marked axeman. Just moments before the shot, he hears Biscuits boofs and looked about ready to jump off and help. 'He'll be fine, ya daft bastard. Stay focused' He chided mentally, refocuses his aim, and fires at an unguarded abdomen.

Doozey aims his next shot carefully, certainly piercing a vital organ or two (Greataxe Cultist #1 takes 20 piercing and lightning damage and is DEFEATED).

The man immediately retaliates against Utar (Reckless Attack):

-> Hand Crossbow vs. Neya: Attack: 9
Damage: 5 piercing(Here's the disadvantage roll: 6).Somewhat coincidentally, the cultist also aims his projectile a bit too high.
You can all hear a few screams coming from even further east.
(Graxx and Utar are up next).
Grunting in pain from the slash across his stomach, Utar can see his attacker off balance and decides to press home his advantage, swinging twice as before.
