Manfred reads over the letters as he walks towards the door behind Dain. He looks up at the others and nods. "Everything looks to be in order. You can never be too sure if you're carrying a 'kill the bearer of this letter' message, in my experience." He winks at the barmaid as he leaves. "I don't know about this lass, but I may be back to take you up on that offer, Bonney. If we don't all disappear mysteriously first!" Laughing mirthfully without waiting for a response, he exits the bar.
Aura seems to get uncomfortable when Albanus starts looking at her, even if his objective seemed to be entirely passive and harmless, her interaction with other people was very limited, so she was unsure how to react.
While she slowly tries to hide her face, her eyes catch the barmaid very close to her and it seems to give her a light spook, which she quickly recovers from. After hearing Bonnie's offer, Aura replies. "Hm, going without food is sometimes part of my training... But, I guess I could go for something simple... It'd be rude not to accept it..." Even though she wouldn't be paying for it, Aura looks for the lowest price on the menu while deciding what to order.
Albanus will take Bonney up on her offer, requesting some dried meat and a flask of water, if available. “Until next time Leon.” And with a flourish will follow bowing gracefully and heading after Manfred and anyone else who is leaving.
Vulgrom is quick to order and is gesturing to Bonney the sausage roll as she takes the menu. He takes a another draw slapping his lips together, ignoring the drip on his beard, "Just getting a wee pastry, I can catch up if ye must!"
If anyone he hasn't spoken to anyone nearby, he'll offer them a firm handshake and a little "Vulgrim, pleasure." or "Nice to meet ya. I'm Vulgrim."
"Now don ye long-legged folk be sprintin off en leaven me behind." Dain says as his stumpy dwarf legs carry him towards the direction of the next town they are heading to. "Me legs no be as long as ye legs member." He shrugs his pack a bit, the multiple tools inside clanging against each other as they settle into a new position. With a nod he starts down the road, eyes on the alert as they go.
"A fair pace that won't overtax is best after all, if we're going through wolf territory stragglers aren't fun. We'll match your beer-keg legs," Ashtear says with a wink, then slapping her pack into her lap "But really, seems good to stick together, and get a feel for each other. I have all I need for traveling prepared already I think. Be sure not to lose the letters of introduction."
Opening her pack, Ashtear begins to organize materials, and adds drops of various liquids or viscous matter into nodules in her gauntlets in preparation for a trip. "For the record, I'm not great at close quarters. I can manage well enough though. I mostly specialize in alchemical reactions, and a little bit of magic."
Survivor will quietly accompany them out of town, hanging behind to make sure he doesn’t outpace them with his longer legs. Once out of town however, he will quickly move off to the side of the road, taking what cover he can and scout ahead, waiting for them just off the road a half-mile or so out of the town they’re headed to.
(Jeez, we seem to be all over the place. Some people thought we're gonna get one more round of interaction before we leave (namely, me and Zwordsman.) And some others are already on the road and almost in town. I'll make this post just to keep up in terms of character actions.)
Aura, after getting her order to take on the road, follows with the group outside the town. Not comfortable that someone in the group is running in front of them, she decides to follow Survivor. She's just as fast as him, which says a lot about the big Goliath since she's one nimble little Genasi. She tries to remain quiet as to not blow both their covers up.
(Ashtear) ((I'm fine with moving the scene along~ Its just a facet of PbP that minute to minute time tables tend to be a bit more fluid than normal) (traveling order discussion then. So Survivor and Aura are scouting. If the rest of us are just in a marching order then. Ashtear will default anywhere but the middle-Likely further back in case of ambushes and also because she's apt for travel view distractions. Feel free to stick her anywhere.))
While walking, Ashtear fiddles in her pocket and pulls out 3 ball bearings giving soft light-retaining her last one in her pocket. "Does anyone want a small bit of light? Not much, but its nice for causing a distraction or for lighting up a small area."
(its just a ball bearing that gives off 5ft radius of light. Via Magical Tinkering Class ability.)

(Manfred is not be up ahead with the scouting party, but he would be towards the front of the main group).
As soon as the group is out of town, Manfred falls uncharacteristically silent. He moves slowly, keeping an eye out for any signs of wild animals. His hand hovers constantly near his rapier and he seems tense. Under his breath, he hums one of his own compositions, some sad and mournful dirge that sounds like it has Elvish influences.

The dwarf marches on, shield at the ready by his warhammer still by his side. Crumbs tossled into his beard, his fingers twitching for another one, but he has gathered the slight tension in the march. With a roll of his eyes, tries his best to keep quiet as travel...

As he shakes his head with silent disagreement, he fails to see loose rock and stumbles hard and swearing loudly in Dwarvish. He looks around, gestures an apology to everyone who can see and attempts to continue on in a quiet fashion...

As you step off the road and scout ahead, you see mostly just rolling hills and bits of forestation scattered across the landscape. In the distance you can see what looks to be a merchant caravan moving on away from you.

Likewise, you believe yourself to be hidden. Also you see what appears to be some hog tracks here or there, and also some horse and cart tracks on and near the road.

Despite clanging to the ground and making a whole lot of racket it doesnt seem like anythibg or anyone was close enough to hear it. Theres just the wind the trees and the road.

Albanus walks along with the group, closer to the back end than the front. In this light, his dark scales are clearly contrasted against his purplish-red skin. His horns (crown of thorns style) are visible and he feels a wistfulness as the mournful sounds of Manfred's song waft back to him on the small currents of air. He closes his eyes for a second and a large, black draconic face materializes and starts to smile. The smile turns into a snarl and the maw of the dragon opens wider...Albanus eyes flick open at the sound of the dwarf up ahead and he forgets the image for the time being.
Albanus rolls for stealth 16 and readies the spell Fire Bolt in case an aggressive boar or wolf pops out from somewhere...."Dirty, filthy things," he mutters to himself as he trudges on.
Dain is towards the front of the group, seeming use to a bit of walking as he keeps his pace fairly constant as he moves down the road. His eyes constantly scan the road and the land to either side as he travels. "Can make me own if der be need." He says as the glowing balls are offered around.
(I am good with fast forwarding if nothing is going to happen on the walk.)
As the town (and Survivor and Aura) come into view, Manfred visibly relaxes. His song changes to something more upbeat and those in the party near him hear him softly sing a few mumbled phrases that seem to refer to a poorly endowed sailor and an acrobat.
"Well, that was a lovely walk.Shall we check in with the local tavern and present our credentials? We might gain a bit of intelligence, or at the very least, a few more pints. What say, fellows and ladies?"
Just a few hours after you set out from the tavern and the guildmaster Leon, you follow the road, some of you sneaking ahead to scout out the way while others get lost in their thoughts on how they came to be here. Before you know it you see the small town ahead. A few chimneys let out puffs of smoke and a small keep can be seen nuzzled against a small cliff on the far side of the town.
The inn is located near the center, admidst a blacksmiths forge and shop, as well as a general goods store. Despite the setting sun you can make out a few houses further out on the horizon, more than likely farm houses for the small community. Theres scarcely a soul to be seen on tbe streets, however, and those that are quickly dart along the walls of buoldings before quickly darting into a doorway and disappearing from sight.
