Rain falls hard on a warm spring morning in the town of Knotside. The battering against the windows of the Venerable Swordsman inn makes for a less than pleasant morning for our group of adventurers. Around one of the tables, trying to enjoy a mornings breakfast before the day ahead, sits our party. Ardeth: The Goliath Cleric, Benagol: The Human Fighter, Broadhorn: The Minotaur Druid, Drummer: The Human Warlock, and Reggie: The Human Rogue. Ava, the bartender and proprietor of the Swordsman, tends to her usual morning patrons and ensures the morning after drinks are topped off.
The group had just finished a long and hard fought campaign against the evil Aruxious the Illusionist the night before, defeating the mighty Aruxious and stopping his evil plan against the town of Knotside. The towns folk helped the adventurers celebrate with their grace and aflow of spirits at the Swordsman well into the night.
After a few jokes, laughs, and great stories of the hard fought battle, the doors to the Swordsman fling open violently and a small humanoid dashes in. The strange fellow gives a quick glance around the room, see you all being the only large group of people in the inn, then bolts towards you. Just as the anxious stranger is about to speak, two cloaked figures, both easily over six-feet tall, enter the Swordsman. Both carry odd, curved daggers on their belts. It doesn't take a whole lot of smarts or wisdom to realize that these two are probably looking for the small creature standing by you.
While the cloaked figures glance around the room looking for their quarry, the small stranger gasps and reaches into its pocket. With a clawed, orange hand he hands you what looks like a medallion of some sort.
"Keep it secret, keep it safe,"he begs you through a thick goblinoid accent. Before you can react, the goblin bolts outside of your reach and heads towards the back of the inn and runs out the back entrance. Immediately, the cloaked pair notice the fleeing goblin and begin to move quickly in the same direction.
What do you do?

Ardeth quickly passes the medallion to Reggie assuming his rogue-ish ways know best how to hide away something that doesn’t belong to him.
[Italics] Ardeth thinks to himself: Not too sure about any of this... that goblin probably stole these two tall guys’ amulet and their just trying to get it back. But I guess better see how this plays out.
Ardeth turns tot he rest of the party and quietly instructs, “I think we play it cool and see where this goes. It looks like they are following the goblin.”
Then turning back to his drink Ardeth acts as if nothing unusual happened.
These two cloaked figures have bandanas over their faces. As they quickly approach the back of the inn they are walking close by your table, paying no mind to the mighty adventuring party, they draw their curvy daggers.
Benagol is a massive built human with strong taurin shoulders, black hair and moustaches. He looks in his forty. He wears a chain mail and a horny helmet. The other companions knows him well: he is a smart-ass, he is not only a great fighter (especially with polearm weapons) but they who know him well know also that (in his youth) his criminal record is not really blank, on the other side he is usually competent with locks and the like.

Benagol was sipping his breakfast milk with a hand, the other hand holding his jaw dully,
His moustaches are white with milk, his eyes red from bad sleep, still with a hangover headache from the night before.
He starts to joke with his friend minotaur:
Broadhorn, cmon, look at you, you are always...HORNY...even in the early morning and...
But then that event took place and he stopped to follow it: he saw the medallion passing to Reggie.
His brain starts to see if they can something out of it , even if just at first glance, he tries to understand if it is valuable (INT 8 ).
Apart from that , he starts to think
oh, damn, those ones are up to no good. this will mean trouble, surely. F**k, this shithole of a town is not only dull but also unlucky, dunno, maybe we should just let it be, of course if there is no money involved
Anyway, just to be on the safe side, he takes the knife in his hand, the weapons are upstairs...
He does not move from the table, he play aloof and he feeels like sleeping until midday.
At the end he turns to whomever stays at the table and whispers:
Broadhorn looks confused at the joke. "I mean. I always have my horns, yeah." As the suspicious looking men pass by the table Broadhorn gets up, he makes sure to not bump into anything with the horns that has given him his name. He follows them for a few feet. Then he stops as he taps one of them at the shoulder. "Uh, hey there mister. Couldn't help, but see you looking for something. Can I help ya?" He smiles and puts hands in his pockets, small flowers and wooden carvings of small woodland critters like squirrels and rabbits hang dangle from coloured strings tied to his horns.

You all let the cloaked figures pass you by and they also head out the back door into the alley. Once they are out of ear shot, Ava says to one of the patrons "Argus, those people look like trouble. Please go run off and grab some of the guards...at least the ones that have sobered up and are working this morning!" She then gives you all a look of concern.
Benagol catches a quick glance of the medallion before the quick handed rogue places it in a breast pocket. The medallion shimmers and looks to be made of gold. You don't have enough to time get a good look at the inscription or picture on the medallion before it leaves your sight.
Reggie (and I assume Drummer would follow) get up from the table and follow the figures. Ava's eyes follow them, concern turns to hope, as Reggie and Drummer open the door and step out into the alley. Reggie, heavy crossbow drawn, looks at the scene in the alley. About 20 feet away are four cloaked figures, one of them are crouched over the goblin who now lies motionless on the ground. The crouched figure is patting down the goblin up and down. They look up at the other three and curses "It is not here!" one of the figures that has it's back to Reggie responds "Glock and I saw some patrons in the inn, maybe he slipped it to one of them. Let's go before we are spotted!"
The cloaked figures gather and turn around, starting to walk towards the door when they stop dead in their tracks. Drummer and Reggie, they see you standing near the door that leads into the Swordsman. They make eye contact with you and you can see their eyes turn a slight amber color. One holding a wavy dagger roars "That's them! Get 'em!!"
Combat initiative order (Action held by Reggie will go first on Round 1 only): (Reggie's readied attack action) Cloaked 1, holding a wavy dagger and 20 feet away from Drummer and Reggie Cloaked 4, holding a Falchion and 25 feet away from Drummer and Reggie Benagol, sitting at the table inside the inn and 30 feet away from the backdoor Drummer, within 5 feet of Reggie and 20 feet to Cloaked 1 and 2 Ardeth, sitting at the table inside the inn and 40 feet away from the backdoor Reggie, within 5 feet of Drummer and 20 feet to Cloaked 1 and 2 Cloaked 2, holding a wavy dagger and 20 feet away from Drummer and Reggie Cloaked 3, holding a Falchion and 25 feet away from Drummer and Reggie Broadhorn, standing in the doorway, 5 feet from Drummer and 25 feet to Cloaked 1 and 2.
Benagol looks at Ava but then he hears some turmoil and some yelling.
he looks at the ceiling, about to swear but he only thinks:
Not even a breakfast in peace
He gets up from the chair and starts to run towards the backdoor. Apart from the knife he helds in hand, he has nothing else but he notices a broom: he is talenteed with long sticks and weapons so he takes and without looking at the innkeeper he just says:
Can I borrow it?
He opens the door and takes in the scene, asking to his companions
What the hell is going on?
For the sake of roleplay can we consider the broom as a polearm improvised weapon?
MOVE: to the in backdoor
FREE: Taking the broom
ACTION: open the door, if the door is already opened DASH to arrive at 15 feet from the nearest foe. If one the hooded foe enters minaciouisly into the broom reach (10 or 5 feet, you decide) --> REACTION: given by polearm feat

Reggie gets the first shot off and hits Cloak 2 dead center of their chest for 21 damage. Cloak 2 falls back and lies motionless on the ground.
Benagol moves through the door past Broadhorn and dashes to be in between both trios. He takes the stance a pole master would and readies their reaction.
Cloak 1 move up, dagger drawn and ready to strike. They move within 10 feet of Benagol and take 7 points of damage. They use the rest of their movement to move in range of Benagol and attack.
Cloak 1 Attack 1: 19 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. Trying damage again due to error: 4
Cloak 4 sees the maneuver Benagol accomplished on his comrade and moves 10 feet forward and takes a Martial Stance by shifting their feet in a defensive position and holding their flachion out ready to strike any foe who approaches.
Drummer is now within 10 feet of Cloak 1 engaged with Benagol and 20 feet from Cloak 4.
Drummond quickly takes in the scene and utters a horrid word in abyssal, casting blindness/deafness to blind the three remaining enemies. (DC 15 Con save)

Broadhorn sees cloak 1 stab Benagol and pulls out a small squirrel figurine from his pocket. "Hey, pal. If you're not gonna play nice, you gotta come over here for a time out." He grasps the totem squirrel tightly and whips it towards Cloak 1.
Action: Cast Thorn Whip Spell Attack: 25 Damage: 6 (If hit, they're pulled 10 ft closer to Broadhorn)
