All Lasair knows is that it's linked to some sort of cult, she can't figure out what one or even any other information about it (knowledge about the elemental cults is very hard to come by).

"It seems these are a bit unfamiliar to me," Lasair says handing the objects back to Jairus. "Sorry I couldn't be more helpful," she adds her expression mournful. "I will keep my eye out for anything that might help you understand your mother's loss," she finishes patting his shoulder.

Jairus takes the things back and wraps them up again in the cloth he had them bound in, then shoved them back into his back pack. He crosses his arms and looks down his prominent nose at the road. “Doesn’t matter. Maybe she’s alive, maybe not. I just want to know. Anyway, let’s keep going. Goblin tomb ain’t gonna clear itself.”
Tyrael stands quietly during the back and forth, feeling empathy for those who have lost family or friends, but not knowing the right words of comfort and support.
(Gotcha. Just wanted to not get in the way of the roleplay :). It's much easier when you do my job for me.)
A dark, rectangular hole gapes amid the grass and vines of a nearby hillside. A stone door can be seen, ajar, in the tunnel’s dim depths. The door bears chiseled marks that might once have been a name. You can't see much else without a closer investigation, just tangled vegetation and boulder jumbles.

Jairus surveys the entrance for traps or ambushes. (His passive Perception and Investigation are both 15, let me know an active roll is more appropriate.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“I’m gonna check fer any traps or sneaky stuff these gobbers got planned for us,” Jairus says. He moves in closer, low to the ground, eyes darting around and hands moving carefully to feel for any tripwires or pit traps. His mother raised him to be paranoid.

OOC: Same bonus of +5 whether it’s a Perception or Investigation for Jairus.

OOC: I assumed a somewhat broader search, the door and area leading up to it for traps, and a visual scan of the area above and around for ambush. Nothing “inside” as he hasn’t entered and might need a light source as a human. You could rule it Investigation for the traps and Perception for the ambush, for example.
"Jairus, I trust your eyes much more than my own. If you want to search around the area, I will watch your back." Tyrael will stay near the entrance so he can watch it and Jairus, unless the young man needs move to beyond easy line of sight.
To Tyrael, Jairus says, “‘I ‘preciate it, Tyrael. Might need some light in there if it’s dark. I don’t have dragon eyes or elf eyes or any of that, just regular old human. Gonna make sure they don’t have any surprises for us, ‘fore we go walkin’ on in.”
Though his focus is clear, and he was serious about his search, Jairus still moved a bit rapidly, the excitement of being on his first real adventure, and helping out, getting him amped up.
With a flourish, Longen produces a single candle from his backpack. A quick strike of flint and tinder results in a small, sputtering flame. He grins widely at Jairus and Tyrael. "So which of us fine men is leading the charge? Or does this seem like a job for one of the fairer sex?"
OOC: Jairus will motion the others to wait to enter after he has ensured it is safe to do so - let me know if I need to make another roll or if he detected anything, or if it appeared all clear.
”I ain’t saying I’m the toughest one here, far from it, but with tombs and the like known to be trapped, sometimes having a guy with my skill set up in front can help avoid walking into nastiness,” Jairus offers. “This ain’t me boastin’ none. Just how people handle these things, least, that’s what I was taught. If I was told wrong, well, I ain’t gonna argue. This is my first field work, I admit that. But I do know what to look for, in traps and tricks and such.”

"No, I think you're right. You should probably be first, and stay at least a short distance ahead of us. I am armored and have a shield, so I don't mind being near the front of our group to take the brunt of any possible attacks, but I'm equally well as a rear guard since I can fight from range." Taking out a copper coin, Tyrael casts light on the coin and hands it to Jairus. "Longen has a candle, but keep this in your pouch in case you need it. It will last for an hour. I don't require any light."

Jairus nods gratefully, his face lighting up a bit, before he remembers he’s supposed to act professional. Still, he says, “Magic glowing coin, real neat trick there. Sure, I’ll keep eyes open in front, go quiet like, look fer the traps and the like. I see trouble I’ll haul it back to you, though, count on it.”
Lasair studies the objects carefully. Arcane 6 "Hmmm..." the druid makes a curious noise looking over each item.

OOC: It might mean we have arrived at the tomb now without running into any random encounters on the way?
(( Ahhh, that make much more sense, good catch! DM: I think we're ready for a description. ))

(To do so you'd have to get a bit closer. I would have you roll, passive is just for if you're not actually trying to look for something.)
