"Stick together, when cover is available make use of it, and keep your eyes peeled! There's a spectacle in the air, but there's still ground beneath your feet! Don't run off a cliff or onto some fools waiting knife!"
Aurelia takes another mare, and gestures for Eleth to sit behind her. "Agreed! Let us go now!"
AS Eleth jumps on behind Aurelia she whispers to her, "You know i am more comfortable in the woods, what happens if we get caught in a building that collapses?"
"I know! This is not your element. But remember our training with the elders! You are more capable than you know!" Aurelia kicks the horse, and the two gallop down the road with the others.

I know, I know but this feels too rushed! Eleth exclaims as she hangs on to the rear of the horse. As she is she looks around the edges of the road trying to see anything that might indicate danger. Perception 21
Zomith decides to hold the rear of the group. She keeps an eye out for any problems that may arise there. Klobs seems both irritated and excited at the same time.
Eleth peers for danger on the road to their destination, but it seems that the area around them is eerily devoid of any happening. The appearance of a dragon does wonders when it comes to chasing away the smaller prey. The path to the stream is clear.

As they race the wind whips through Dahme'dres hair. She uses a mage hand to pull it up neatly. One of the simple cantrips she casts almost without effort or thought; as easily as using her own hand, if her own hands were'nt limited by her arms that is. She clears her mind then concentrates on the path ahead, following Slade and Ashehee as their horse races toward the stream.
Ashehee eyes the Hobgoblin merchant suspiciously as she sprints to Slade and jumps on the back of the war horse he wields. Ashehee makes a mental note not to forget the crates.

We need to keep an eye on that hobgoblin, Eleth thinks to herself. Aurelia, what do think are in those boxes? Whatever is in them, the merchant acted like there was nothing to them, but his body language did not match his words!"
"I noticed that as well, Eleth, but it is his property, and not our business. We are already riding his horses with only incidental permission. I am curious too, I'll admit."

"Yes, we can deal with the crates later though. Right now, we have bigger dragons to avoid being fried by." As Slade approaches the outskirts of town, he pulls back on the reins of his horse slowing to a canter. He surveys the city with caution as he looks for any dangers or those in need of help. (Perception 16)
(OOC: Thoughts on rolling perception vs passive? Some DMs tend to use one more than the other.)
Dahme'dre reins in behind Slade's horse and releases her hair to fall neatly onto her shoulders. She gestures to the others following to stay close. As they move between the first buildings.
She speaks softly to Slade.
"I'm out of practice without a saddle. I could hardly keep up and you've got an extra rider. Assuming we survive we'll have to try for a proper race."
(OOC: I presume you roll if you're looking for, or at, something specific. Otherwise the DM will use your passive to see if you notice the pressure plate or the black leather clad baddy.)
Eleth's breaths become a little rapid as her anxiety of the city engulfs her. She grasps her holy symbol and mutters a brief prayer to Bainor for calmness. "Where did the dragon go? And more importantly, where are WE going?" Eleth asks anyone that is near her.
As you approach Ardev, losing the vantage the hill granted you, you cannot see the obscured blue dragon until it soars overhead seeming to circle the homes in front of you. It's attention, however, is not fixed at the ground, but rather at a central point in Ardev. Everyone can see the top of what looks like a keep, and that seems to be what the dragon has its eye on. You can see it breathing electricity, but the Thunder snap from his mouth sounds distant to you.
Moving into the city, you can hear screams and fights all around. Though you can smell smoke and see fire, curiously it doesn't seem as though any buildings have burned down. Zomith thinks aloud, stating, "It seems to me this raid is still in its early stages. Perhaps we can change the fate of any innocents!"
Slade, ever sharp, sees five humans dash out from the building on your left. This movement catches everyone else's attention. A limping man and three young children race across your vision into the wooded area to your left, and a woman carrying a round shield and a broken spear turns and faces back in the direction from which they came. Six cloaked, humanoid figures chase them. They have strange masks and came equipped with scimitars.
They stream out from the left side, your vision obscured by the large building, on the family’s heels and fan out around the woman, who looks determined to delay the creatures for as long as possible. You have yet to be noticed by any of these people.
Slade and Eleth, you both recognize these masked individuals as cultists of the dragon below immediately. Anyone else must make a religion check with advantage to determine this.

With a soft word, Aurelia touches her wooden staff, imbuing it with natural energy. The staff lengthens and sprouts tough knots of wood on the ends. Looking over her shoulder at the woman with the broken spear, Aurelia says "Stay back! Get yourself to safety!". Dahme'dre moves towards the Wooded area keeping a fair distance between herself and these cultists. Aurelia moved, hoping to catch all the cultists in one blast, however, a couple of them were just outside her range. A burst of silver flame poured from her palm, charring the closest cultist to her, but the others managed to duck and move out of the way just in time. The burned cultist fell to the ground in a burnt heap, leaving the smell of burnt flesh lingering in the air. The other cultists looked down at their downed ally and up to Aurelia. The fury in their eyes was quite visible through the eye holes in the mask.
As Dahme'dre moves, she hexes and calls upon a mysterious power to attack a foe she believed was in a great position to attack Aurelia. Electricity sprouted from her fingertips toward the cursed cultist, hitting him in his center of mass with a loud ZAP! The energies course through his body, killing him almost instantly.
