"I agree with Onyx on this one. I don't see any easy routes as we delve deeper into the mine, though I would be lying if I said it didn't tempt me to take on such a foe." Arbon points at the middle room, "If anyone needs a moment to rest though, now would be the time and place to do it."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Your reasoning is solid, Onyx. Rock solid." Marchosias has his head on a swivel, trying to piece together as many of the disparate clues coming from each adventurer as he could. Despite possibly being the 'expert', knowledge and observation were not his domains alone. Demon bites weren't infectious in the same way as lycanthropy, were they? Noting the human's new wariness, he takes a closer look at the Hunter. The man was eccentric, certainly. Was that truly all, though?

(Looking at the hunter closely its obvious that He's a professional demon hunter, whose had his hand torn up then had a needle shoved through it with some thread. It's been a rough day but he knows what he's doing.)
The hunter mentions that the mine cart connects with the mine shaft at the end of the refinery's rails and leads back up to it.
Whatever direction you go, if you want to reach the deepest parts of this place you'll have to go through that connection point where raw ore went up to be refined.
He notes that this place is particularly dangerous because it was heavily populated and not warned about the demons. Following the hunters current theory, the dwarves expedition team dug too deep, but they work in teams of 5 max. The mining tunnel would have held hundreds of dwarves, with that connection point being a hub where more could have came down in exchange for new ore going up.
"You mention that the ore went through this upcoming hub. Are you aware of any ore or metal that remains?" Arbon touches the emblem of Gond on his shield, "I have had visions in the past, and that metal may come in handy later on."
"And the refinery is the 'Really Dangerous' path," noted Onyx, a bit more jovially than might be expected. "Well, then... perhaps we're meant for the bigger challenge, if it results in an advantage for us?"
While the others determine which way to go Grahl will be looking at the leaflet given by the hunter.
Grahl will take his time looking at this, squenting his eyes every so often trying to determine what the word is. If someone would be looking at him they would notice his lips moving slowly as he tries to read the notes. He can mostly read it, just very slowly and will probably only read the first paragraph for now as that will cost him enough energy.
He will follow the groups choice in direction he will be busy with the leaflet untill then.
"I wonder," Marchosias muses aloud. He still felt a little guilty about his haphazard needlepoint work. "Could we sufficiently collapse the mines to kill all the lunatic dwarves and seal off whatever portal they opened up? I know they're supposed to be good at this kind of thing, but surely there's a weak point somewhere, right?"

"I like that thinking Marchosias. Though bringing down the mine specifically on a portal is surely not as simply as collapsing all the shafts? But, the idea has merits. Perhaps if two tunnels lead into a chamber, and we look to continue away from them, we collapse the tunnel not travelled. This way we ensure no fiends that have not been dealt with can sneak up on our backs." Arbon inspects the wooden beams and supports as he says this, as if figuring out how to bring down a mine shaft.
The hunter nods his head at the suggestion of blowing up the mine, and entertains in genuinely for a moment but after a few more moments he interrupts,
"It's a little harder than kicking over a sand castle guys. These dwarves weren't exactly swinging pickaxes down there, maybe we could stockpile their blasting components into a single area and collapse a tunnel, maybe two, but I doubt it would bring the whole mine down."
He mumbles to himself for a second then thinks about it again,
"Maybe if we blew the mine shaft directly under the refinery. It might destabilize the ground and cause a cave in at both access points coming out."
A grim visage passes over his face,
"But if it doesn't stop the demons entering, they'll eventually crawl through it, and then we're going to have a lot more than zombie dwarves to worry about."
Onyx held his chin with one forefinger as he thought. "Perhaps," he began slowly, "we should leave that as a last-ditch effort? In case we can't otherwise stop the demons? It's definitely an irreversible action."
"Not to mention dangerous," he murmured to himself as an afterthought, inwardly wondering which of them had the mining skills necessary to pull off a controlled collapse.
"I think that our learned friend has suggested the dangerous route, not the REALLY dangerous route," Arbon puts his hand on Onyx's shoulder as he says this. "I'm keen for a good fight after our last encounter and the really dangerous path intrigues me, though will defer to those smarter than I." Arbon lets out a hearty laugh as he says this.
A bit surprised at the support, Onyx nods. "If you feel the reasoning is sound, then I still believe heading toward the mine is the best option. Unless there are any objections, then?" With that he turned toward the hunter.
(( Seems we want to get a move on, then unless someone objects, I'd presume we're still heading toward the mine? ))
The hunter walks back with some measure of relief to the first doorway, and starts heading down the ladder,
"To the mine it is."
Climbing down the ladder one by one you all become increasingly aware that this space is getting tighter. The largest of you barely fit, and if something were to come from above, there would be no way to block without dropping onto the person below.
The tunnel was made for dwarves after all, the largest of whom are 4 maybe 5 feet tall at the absolute max. Arbon's light does not reach those of you on the top and bottom, and from his middle position it nearly blinds the two above and below him.
Minutes pass, and the quiet squeeze couldn't be more uncomfortable. The ladder has rusted out and every tight squeeze slightly bends it. You're all still at least a hundred feet from the bottom, the hunter stating that there's nothing but darkness below him. He has, however, seen the painted green ring marking the 150 feet mark several moments ago, so he's positive of what he said.
More minutes pass, and the hunter complains about the one hand getting tired. It can't be more than another 80 feet.
Still longer, he's now clearly slipping every two or three grips and his feet are violently shuddering the entire ladder every time they shakily land upon the next rung.
"Shit!"
He steps on the ground at the bottom of the ladder and shakes off his hand. Looking down the tunnel, there is once more a rail with several carts attached to a handcar. It's clearly meant to push twenty plus dwarves from a single operator, more than enough for everyone.
He looks at the cart, and then to the first of you coming down,
Though his efforts are valiant, Chazael is unable to push the handcar level down. Finally, his efforts in vain, he leaps off the edge of a cart onto the handle that's up, and the group of carts move forward about a foot.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Marchosias will attempt to help, but given Chazael's difficult, he fears the wheels are rusted. After taking a quick look and a flask of oil to grease any wheels that are obviously stuck, he will try to give the cart a push himself.

The hunter looks around to you all and shrugs abit,
"So, what are we doing?"
He walks up to the reinfery tunnel doorway,
"Ugh, stinks in there. Somehow somethings both burning and rotting."
He chuckles abit without turning around then shudders lightly in disgust at the rancid aroma.
