Murmen draws his warhammer and strikes at the table-leg wielding man. Despite it only being a graze, combined with the previous hit the man looks much worse for wear.
“Damn you, dwarf!” he yells, as he decides this fight is not worth it for him. He Disengages before moving 15 feet towards the exit, dropping Murmen’s shield on the way.
Jeb’s punch hits empty air, opening him up for the knife-wielding attacker to retaliate, who misses as well.
“Come on, just keep still!”
The disgruntled gambler just won’t listen to reason and stop fighting. Out of the corner of his eye, Jeb sees the dwarf’s attacker run away from combat. Perhaps the dwarf could help…
At the door, the former bard raises his broken bottle at the halfling, but suddenly gasps and jerks still, before collapsing. Behind him, Berdach stands with a bloodied knife. He also hears the sound of many tramping boots outside, getting closer getting closer.
Meanwhile, Zee starts maneuvering defensively while drawing a mini-funhouse mirror and speaking an incantation, causing him to glow with a green light. As the table-leg man runs past him, the momma’s boy attempts to shove Zee to the ground, but he freezes still as if some magical force stops him from attacking. Nearby, the bartender spots Murmen’s dropped shield and moves for it, picking it up just in time to deflect the pool cue.
Arikon creates an illusory scream behind the brass-knuckled man, who reflexively turns around and punches the thin air.
“Huh, there’s nothing there,” he says until he notices Arikon run past him towards the door.
“I won’t fall for your tricks again, dirty magician!” The man gets an Opportunity Attack to punch Arikon in the back as he moves away, dealing 3 damage.

Jeb seeing that the man will not be reasoned with, draws his own dagger. He offers once more, "Friend, I am not your enemy. Now you've had your fun; but you are liable to get hurt now. How bout you head home to sleep it off?"

Jeb draws his own dagger holding it blade down in an easy comfortable stance.
Action:
Jeb readies to attack the knife wielding attacker if his last appeal to reason fails to convince him to gather his friend and head home. Jeb slams the hilt of his dagger into the side of the head of his opponent, his continued goal to disable the drunks not kill them outright.

The second punch did hurt even more than the first one. Still, his safest bet seemed to keep moving towards the nearest exit and so Arikon did just that. He grew somewhat desperate. "This brute is going to kill me. I need help.", the young sorcerer exclaimed as he moved. Gaining some distance he hurled an Eldritch Blast (Attack: 23 Damage: 10)in the direction of the attacker. "Back away or I swear I'm going to hurt you badly!" (Intimidation24), he shouted as he watched the blast leaving his hands.

"Now then" Zee says and passes by the Momma's Boy who seems to be stopped in place. Zee makes his way over towards the Bartender with a shield and hands him the mace Zee keeps at his side, (trying to do as a free action since I'm not attacking) then looks at the aggressor with a pool que "Maybe helping the Halflings at the door might prove more fruitful." Zee says with tilted head, pointing out the advantage of helping verses the disadvantage of numbers and equipment. (Persuasion: 15 ) Zee hoped the Man with a simple sick would yield to one with mace and shield. The man should love an opportunity to not have his skull bashed in and maybe just leave, especially since there was an obvious swapping of advantages. In Zee's mind, this was his best move. It would help the bartender AND the Halflings in addition to whoever wanted out. He wanted to make multiple allies while never actually getting his hands dirty, all the while helping and being praised for it all. Those were his hopes anyway. Zee was also hoping the momma's boy might bugger off since he failed twice to do anything. Out of the cornor of his eye he sees someone casting magic which peeks his interest for a split second.

Jeb wallops the gambler with his knife’s pommel. Before he recovers, Murmen flanks and knocks him unconscious with his hefty warhammer.
Arikon unleashes a sizzling beam of energy at the brass-knuckled man, striking him in the chest and sending him back crashing into a table. He doesn’t get back up. Safe now, he goes for the door, but doesn’t make much headway through the tavern crowd.
Berdach moves past the astonished halflings and attempts to drag the passed-out drunk out of the way, but the sleeping man is incredibly heavy and fails to budge an inch.
Zee is confident in his own safety and moves on to assisting others. Tossing the bartender his mace is all it takes for the pool stick man to start packing towards the door, following the heels of the injured table leg man.
At this moment, the sound of marching boots get so close that everyone in the tavern can hear it. The door crashes open from the outside and the sleeping drunk knocked out of the way.
“Get down, hands on your head!”
Five heavily armored guards breach inside, three armed with crossbows while two carry spears. Leading at the front an elf man wears the insignia of a Lieutenant.
“Make a move and we’ll shoot.” He surveys the scene, seeing two three dead bodies and several more unconscious, and sighs.
Arikon felt relieved as he saw his blast strike true and watched intently as the man with the brass-knuckles stumbled backwards crashing into a table. The relief left him as suddenly as it had came though. The man he just struck wasn't moving. Did he die from the blow? Arikon certainly didn't intend to kill his attacker. He hadn't killed anyone before. A cold shiver ran down his spine as a sense of dread began to take hold of him. 'This brute forced my hand.', he tried to calm himself.
It felt like ages before the guards finally burst into the tavern. Numb, Arikon complied with the requests and lay down with the hands above his head, dreading the things to come.

Zee drops to his knees, puts his hands on his head, and motions for the bartender with mace and shield to do the same. Zee felt he could get out of this easily with the help of the bar patron and his own silver tongue. He hadn't even cracked a sweat through this whole ordeal and was actually having a good time, other than the two dead. He had no hand in either deaths but supposed they must have pushed others to that point. What a waste he thought to himself.

Berdach will keep a careful eye on the guards, watching their movements around the room. Keeping an eye out to see if all of the guards are ever away from the door.
Finally, he turns to look at his forced companions and asks "So, any of you locals? How bad of trouble are we in here? Will they fine us, put us in a pillory, or something worse?"
Zee looks over and calmly says "In the town of Luskin, I believe it is, they parade you in front of the town after have tortured you and they come up with different ways to kill you as a show. In Waterdeep they try and punish you according to severity of the crime. I don't know of this place but from the show of guards, it looks like swift justice." Zee gives a grim nod toward where the dead were taken.
Arikon shifted uncomfortably in his chair, well as far as his restraints would let him. This talk about swift justice did unsettle the young man. He hadn't wished for anybody to die in here but more so he didn't want do be executed for defending himself against this mindless brute that attacked him.
"I don't know what they want for me.", he said to the others. "I did nothing to provoke this fight. They can't charge us for defending ourselves."
Jeb exams his bonds with his fingers trying to gauge the likelihood of picking the lock. He abandons that notion and resigns himself to awaiting his turn at interrogation. He says to the dwarf, "Thank you for your timely intervention with the drunkard! I thought I would need to draw blood back there. The names Jeb. Once we've put this ugliness behind us, I still owe you that drink."
