It is a fairly short walk to the described destination - Salvation is not the largest of settlements. There are few others on the street this late at night, most having either turned in for the night or gone out drinking. As you turn onto the street, creatively named "Third Avenue," you are easily able to the shanty building with a sign Zodor's Brokerage hanging above the doorway.
At first glance, no one appears to be in. No light comes from within, 'nor can you see any movement in the darkness through the windows.
In a broad day light Ella was not about to begin from demonstration of her natural talents. "I suspect true clients of this place know the way to call out the owner. Special knock? Most likely. But we are officials here and guess have to be official. If you do not mind to knock properly, I'll look around - just in case."
She wanted to check for a backdoor, or a cellar - or a place with any kind of entrance, that was out of the view from the street.

Madik calls to Ella and touches her shoulder, “Be careful, Ella...” she says, and she offers her a brief prayer of guidance (+1) in case she decides to go and explore.
After that she tries to look, from where they stand, with more scrutiny at the building, for any hidden signs of life...
Your only companions on this dark street are crickets, and the occasional rodent scurrying across the road. In addition to the front door, as Ella looks around back there is a second door there. There's no view of the door from the street, but there's a group of buildings back there with windows facing towards you.
As Madik scrutinizes the building, peering through the windows, she sees nothing. You're positive the office is unoccupied at this time.
Maphira waits patiently behind the others. "I admit, this type of sneaking work is...Outside my expertise. If we do take a look inside though, I can probably find evidence of black-market dealings if he's left any behind."
Madik clanks over towards Maphira (her armour sounding like a bag of chains and spoons being thrown down the stairs), “I’m not great at sneaking around either... But I’m pretty sure the establishment here is empty: I can’t see or sense another living soul inside. Perhaps we could find a way in, and take a look around, while the coast is clear? I could always stand guard outside”.
"For example that nice little backdoor,"stepped out of the shadow Ella. "Though, there are windows for curious neighbours around, so, it does not matter how we enter. Shall I try to open the door? We can always say it was opened to begin with. People can be so forgetful sometime..."

Madik nods at Ella, “Yes... I say try it while there’s no one around...” then she touches the elf’s shoulder and utters a prayer of guidance (+ 2) “May your hands be steady and swift ”.
(Unsure of which door you are trying to open. Regardless, both the front and back doors refuse to open. You can see two locks on the front: a handle lock and a deadbolt. The rear door has a handle lock.)
The locks click open with such ease, you're certain any street urchin could have picked them. You pull the handle down and push slowly, opening the door with a slight creak.
[[I don't know who plans to enter and who plans to stay outside if any, so bear with me]]
For those without darkvision, past five feet inside, you see nothing but darkness.
For those with darkvision, you enter into a small waiting area with a single wooden chair and small round end table next to it. Straight ahead, there is a wooden counter with iron bars that run from the countertop to the ceiling, with a small depression in the center of the counter where documents or small items can be passed through to the other side.
You pass through a door to the right, which is unlocked and leads you to the room behind the counter. This room is filled with locked filing cabinets, a long desk with two chairs, and a large safe underneath the counter. Spread out on the desk are several sheets of parchment, quills, and an inkwell.
Creeping inside, Maphira glances over the filing cabinets and the safe. "That just seems too obvious..." She whispers to the others. After taking a brief moment to look over the documents on the desk, she will spend time running her hands along it and around the counter to try and find any hidden spaces or drawers.

Ellaly entered, of course. She was completely agree with Maphira - too simple, too obvious. It had to be just a facade, or the broker operated from his own house? She searched for hidden doors: Perception 14 will try to rectify it with Luck points: 11
Ivello will close the door behind those going inside, then stand next to it with his back against the wall. He'll keep an eye for anyone approaching. If he sees someone coming this way, he'll knock the door twice.
Scanning around the room, Ellaly isn't able to pick out anything that jumps at her. At the back of the room is another door, presumably that leads outside. You can now see that this door is barred shut from the inside. Even if you had picked the lock, you wouldn't have been able to get in without busting the entire thing down.
Outside, Ivello sees nothing as he attempts to look nonchalant by the door.
The papers on the desk most consists of half-written invoices or purchase orders. You can readily recognize some Brelish nobility names here, but nothing out of the ordinary. As you run your fingers along the underside however, there is after they run across a small depression in the wood. A small, previously unseen drawer pops out from the side of the desk, with a small leather bound journal of some kind inside.
Flipping through the first few pages, you realize this a ledger of some kind. It contains information such as the dates that salvages were brought to the office, amount paid out for them, and then the dates and names of purchase of those who bought the salvage from Zodor's office. Based on this information, you can readily tell that the rumors are true. Zodor has been salvage giving first refusal to purchasers with deep pockets outside of the Brelish nobility.

Skrípi continues jotting down a few notes as the conversation continues, and leaves after Ivello.
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Madik says to Jahanah “Pray for us. We will return as soon as we can”, she bows, and follows the others.
