Ink adds to Flint's words, "The good dwarf is of the best of us.... I have good intentions, but I'm not sure if my heart anymore, but a task for the good of heart seems one worthy to accomplish."
Crownsguard looks toward Ink, “You are risking life and limb to protect people. To question your own actions is not a doubt of goodness, but maintenance of it. To believe that one is solely good by merit of his own moral compass is folly. We make mistakes. To grow, to become good, one must admit them and stand once more.”

<Your heart is measured in deeds,> says the voice, almost a hissing sound in your head, <though the mix of doubt I sense is itself encouraging. As for the relic you seek, it is nearby, though not under my altar.>
The air around you seems to grow slightly warmer as the being continued to “speak” to you.
<The time was when I would stand vigilant here, and watch the goings on of the Uthgardt that gathered here. But as of late, they have fallen under the sway of a most evil chieftain, a brute and murderer called Wormblod. I have since been slumbering here, awaiting the approach of someone good, someone who would be able to topple Worlmblod without inheriting his thirst for dominance.>

Ink looks at Noori, he comments to the altar, "She is the new chieftain - we found this Wormblod, covorting with a white dragon I might add, trying to break into THE Holy site of the giant-kin. He fell to our blades and magic. She holds the Axe he used on us, and she wears the amulet that Crownsguard liberated from his neck."
"Noori was upset at first, when she found out, but she seems to have calmed and learned patience since then. Perhaps the tribe would benefit if you, their spirit protector, would provide her some guidance."
Ink then turns to the altar and says, "You are a couatl, are you not?"
Before you even finish talking, Noori appears. She says to the altar, confused, "It has been generations since Elrem spoke to us. Why do you summon me now?"
After a few moments of silence, Noori says (as if answering a question), "Yes." She wells up and nods tearfully. "It is true...my love...he is gone." She lays down the jeweled amulet on the floor beside the altar.
Then, as if materializing from out of the stone altar, the winged serpent itself appears—its scales and feathers brilliant in the reflected light of the ice cavern.
<Your deductions are correct,> the Couatl says. <I knew that Wormblod was away, but was unaware of his demise. This pleases me, and it means that the tribe has a chance to live peacefully once more.>
The Couatl flashes in greens and oranges as his serpentine body undulates, back and forth. Its head remains steady as it fixes you with its glowing eyes. <You have done a great service for this tribe, and even though you were unaware of the circumstances at the time, your heroics deserve a just reward. Step forward, heroes, and claim your blessings.>
Matrix hesitates longer then the rest of you before taking a step forward "I was not among them when this 'Wormblod' was felled, neither is my heart good, especially when measured against my deeds. It would be unjust of me to also claim any of your blessings"

Ink responds to Don, as a parent would to a child, "This is no dragon. This is a celestial - a being of goodness and Light."
Then, gesturing towards the couatl, Ink continues explaining, "They and their kind are as old as the dawn of time... In fact, they may have seen Ostoria and the original battles between the giants and dragons."
Ink steps up, "It is my pleasure to help, accidentally or otherwise."
The Couatl regards you all with keen eyes. <There is still much you have to accomplish. I have seen much throughout the eons, but I know when I behold honorable beings. I sense a strong desire in you all, the desire to band together against the oppression of evil giants, and the desire to do what is good. Follow that longing, and it will bring you to the right end.>
The Couatl breathes some sort of radiant, gaseous cloud out of its mouth, and it suffuses you all with powerful healing magic.
You all gain the charm of restoration, which presents itself as a small mark on the inside of your wrist.
This charm has 6 charges. You can use an action to expend some of its charges to cast one of the following spells: greater restoration (4 charges) or lesser restoration (2 charges). Once all its charges have been expended, the charm vanishes from you.
Noori is face-down before the altar, muttering prayers in Bothii, and doesn’t answer you immediately. The rest of the tribe members, mostly women and children, still cower in their caves, shielded by the handful of male warriors.
If you’d like to examine the crescent-shaped gong, you can make an Intelligence (Investigation) check.
The gong, a circular disk 13 feet in diameter, was surely once a shield belonging to a giant. It is now missing a large piece. What remains of it probably weighs upwards of 200 pounds. The shield appears to be made of red dragon scales bolted to a beaten copper frame. Two strong ropes hold up the gong by rivets on the back, which likely once held its arm straps in place.
Ink closely examines the relic, saying to himself, "Well, if we don't need to give this up to the All-Father, it could perhaps be repurposed into interesting defensive gear..."
Then, calling out to no one into particular, "What does the tribe use this for?"
Ink adds to Flint's words, "The good dwarf is of the best of us.... I have good intentions, but I'm not sure if my heart anymore, but a task for the good of heart seems one worthy to accomplish."

Ink bows respectfully and offers his thanks.
"Well, if the relic isn't under the altar, then perhaps...."
At the back of the cave hangs what looks to be a huge crescent-shaped gong, 13 feet in diameter, set in a crude stone frame.
Ink asks Noori if he may examine the gong, he also asks if she or the village elders know of its history or lore.
