Storm King's Thunder

Matrix’s aim seems to be off due to his injured arm, and the bullet glances harmlessly off the carapace of the slowed remorhaz.

Don and Flint connect with punishing blows against their respective remorhazes, but still the hungry creatures fight on, making the ice and snow around them into a freezing, soupy mess. 

Ink readies his bow and takes aim at the remorhaz that Flint is attacking... He lets out two arrows before retreating further away from the scrum... 

As soon as he lets the first arrow loose, his bladesong ends.

As Crownsguard slides down the caverns, he grips onto the shield with one hand, “Now how did that happen?” He thinks for a moment, “Conclusion: I am clumsy. However, I have just the tool for such a case.” Crownsguard aims his bladed arm toward a wall, “Engaging Field Test: Sky Piercer.”

With a thunderous boom, the arm rockets free toward the wall! When locked in, Crownsguard climbs thirty feet back up with the shield.

"heey, I know that sound! did it work?!" Matrix hollers, he seems 'disoriented' after taking that first hit

Ink’s arrows sink into the remorhaz, spouting bits of burning innards from the wounds. The creature screeches in pain.

The remorhazes continue to try and bite Flint, who does his best to fend them off...

1st Attack: 13 Damage: 18 piercing plus 6 fire 

2nd Attack: 9 Damage: 22 piercing plus Unable to parse dice roll. fire 

The third one, coming up from behind, tries to grab Flint's leg!

Opposed grapple check, DC 15

They continue to melt through the ice and snow, forming a circle of freezing slush where they are standing and trampling with their many legs.

Wis Saves 13, 16 - Ink's Slow spell is still visibly affecting #1 and #2

Flint jumps to avoid the creature's grape attempt, resumes his [action]dodge[/roll] stance and strikes #3 again with his spiritual hammer.

Athletics: 10

Attack: 22 for 9 force damage. 

Flint’s spectral hammer knocks the creature off balance, even as it tries to grab the dwarf by his boots.

Ink positions himself and peppers the remorhaz Flint is attacking with two more shots from the longbow!

Crownsguard, having reeled himself back another ten feet, to the landing again, reconnects his arm, “Sky Piercer Initial Test: Success. Now testing combat ability.”

Crownsguard leaps into the fray against the first remorhaz, Attack: 8 Damage: 11 slashing damage and again, Attack: 10 Damage: 10 slashing damage!

”It is a little unbalanced, Matrix.”

"Crownsguard! Are you really experimenting? Just hit the thing."

 “Field tests are vital for accurate improvement.” Crownsguard says as he spins in a circle on the ice against his will.

Crownsguard's attacks are hampered by the icy slurry around his feet. 

The remorhazes, meanwhile, are hungry. They try and grab Flint and force him down where they can get a better bite at him.

// Flint needs to succeed against each DC in success.

1 failed save = Flint is grappled and takes 6 fire damage
2 failed saves = Flint is also prone and takes 5 more fire damage.
If he fails against the first two, then the third remorhaz will get an attack instead of grappling...

Ink feels his spell fade as both remaining remorhazes break free of the slowing enchantment!

Stepping back into range Matrix again focuses his Ki and fires, grits his teeth and in a surge of action fires again! (skipped turn)

He then takes a moment to gather his breath (second wind) before firing again, he then falls back 15 feet. (this turn)

bang! 10 for 10 + 1, Bang!! 17 for 6 + 1

Bang!!! 13 for 12

 Dontontion's first blast strikes the third remorhaz, but not with enough stopping power to halt the monster from ripping into Flint with its sharp teeth! (Attack results in the spoiler from the above post)

As Matrix pulls the trigger for his first shot nothing happens for a second, then it blasts black smoke out the sides and barrel of his weapon. Anyone who speaks draconic learns Matrix knows some colorful 'wording' in the tongue as he starts cursing. shaking his left arm awake he quickly tries to apply field repairs 18

 Don hits with a powerful blow, almost enough to knock the creature off of Flint, but it still has its teeth in the dwarf.
