He seems awfully cagey, and still very evasive. He is sweating just a bit under his hairline. 

"I am not the most observant," Marav turns toward Ink, "he is lying to us right?"

"I would never...I never...a nobleman does not lie!" Lezryk Daerivoss says indignantly. His eyes grow wider as he protests.

Crownsguard places a hand on his shoulder, “If it makes you feel better, I believe you. I am Crownsguard, your compassionate, contemplating companion. However, I also believed that today would go according to plan. My track record for this is very poor.”

"Oh I'm sorry, I don't mean it as an insult. You don't know us, telling us everything when you don't know us might very well be unwise. Now what really happened? And is it likely to be waiting down the road to eat us?"

"What my friend here is saying is that it would be very helpful if you could go into detail of what happened and with who. We have reports to fill out and all information would be useful. Please... Explain."

//Nope, he isn't trying to intimidate him... he is just awkward as hell. :)  He also wasn't trying to make the guy upset, he was just literally asking Ink if he understood this guy right. He will be very proud of himself if he got it right.

"Now see here...I won't be questioned as to my motives! I won our competition fair and square, and now I'm going back to Neverwinter to enjoy my inheritance! It's not my fault my brothers couldn't stay alive!" The noble continues to sweat.

"Competition?" 

“You remember. He and his two brothers held a competition to see who would win their inheritance. The first brother died, then we met them in the tavern. Now the second brother has died. By the rules established, he has now won the sum of the entire inheritance. The morality is questionable, but the rules are clear. Congratulations.” Crownsguard makes a party blower noise.

Marav looks suspiciously at the cut in his face. "Small cut to get from a hill giant."

"No one asked ye yer motives lad. It's good ye have a clear conscience, that'll help ye in th' comin' years while yer toastin' yer brothers' memories an' honorin' their bravery. "

 It is most definitely a cut from a small blade, like a knife or rapier. 

"What kind of giant uses a small knife it rapier?" Marav indicates the cut. "If there is a new kind of giant we need to know." He asks innocently.

 "It wasn't like that!" Lezryk protests. "We were meant to slay a giant. Whoever landed the killing blow on the hill giant was the winner. But now, sadly, both my brothers have died and there is no more competition. So I've won by default." He straightens his collar.
