OOC: Sorry, I missed this earlier. I knew about the directional awareness, just not the tactical straps and such.

Yeah there’s something afoot affect some browsers more or something. It eventually cleared up on my end, I think I cleared cookies and it fixed it.

OOC: the straps are probably leather and some of the "straps" are probably better described as laces, but he definitely is very secure in most senses.

OOC: So am I lighting this place up too?

OOC: Although considering the creatures are under water and the party is ON the water, I wouldn't advise putting oil on the water and lighting it.

OOC: To make sure I got this straight:

• This level has 3 lobstrocities and what appears to be an unknown number of those vampire fish. (Is that right or is it only 3 close by and more further away on this level?)
• The next level down has how many big-ass scorpions? And was there anything else?
• Below that was more lobstrocities (and presumably more Transylvanian guppies). Was there a headcount for that level?
• Scorpions again. (Do we know how many?)

Have I gotten anything wrong and does anyone have answers to any of those questions?

Thank you, I had forgotten that the third level was sea lions instead of lobstrocities.

I am curious though, you say no vampire fish (and I both believe you and am okay with that). I thought there were vampire fish because of this:

Tommary is going full on Merchant of Death in Venice, pointing his sabre at the toll wounded lobstrosity and says, "The reapers of what you've sown have come home to roost*" in dissonant whispers 1st level 13 psychic damage and flee by all means or 13 WIS save for half damage and no flight.

OOC:  I’m not clear on how close the lobstrosities are to the kayaks, so I’ll offer two alternatives for Elyona.  If they are within 5 feet of her, she will:

Drop her shield into the bottom of the kayak (dropping AC to 16), press the button to turn her rod of lordly might into a +3 spear, and make two (two-handed) attacks with the spear:

Attack: 22 Damage: 11

20 Damage: 15

If the creatures are not within 5 feet of her, Elyona will cast Bless on her compatriots.

“Thanks Ely, I appreciate the boost!

I hex thee!”

Toots casts Hex on the monster 20 feet behind the kayak she and Ely occupy and gives it disadvantage on Strength checks. She then plays a dirge now familiar to her companions and the notes form a ghastly spectral hand that class at the lobstrocity: Attack: (28 Damage: 9)

The back crawler (3) jerks in pain the rushes forward with a flick of its tail.

It attacks the kayak !

Noting the lobstrocities trying to upset Toos and Elyona's applecart behind them, Ilyara swore softly under her breath.  "Shit, they're smarter'n they look.  Tallboots, we gotta finish this double-time or we'll end up boatless in th'drink."  That having been said, the furling girl wrapped her spare hand around the pommel of her wonderful new blade, drawing a second, much more sharply curved dagger out of it before throwing it at the lobstrocity she'd already wounded.  The Traveler's blade carved towards the outsized scampi dish as Ilyara intoned the Traveler's chant again and sounded the bells once more, trying to end the creature before it could wreck their boat.

{Spirit blade: Attack: 13 Damage: 13 force damage on a successful deboning.
Aaaand Evil Merder Bells: 14 necrotic damage on a Wis 14 save.}
