To Prove D&D Exists for Echolon

Toots takes a giant, 60 ft bundle of string out of her purse and ties one end to a crossbow bolt, and then ties the other end to the end of a length of rope. She then loads the crossbow bolt into her hand crossbow. she then pulls up the descent rope and ties it to the other end of the rope tied to the string. She rigs herself up a rope harness and affixes it to the descent rope. (Her Sleight of Hand check for all of those knots: 29). When everything is ready she turns to Elyona and says “lower me down nice and steady please.”

When she is at the bottom of the downspout she looks for Tommary’s light show and fires the crossbow bolt over to him: (Attack: 9). She then calls over to him: “gently pull the string and I’ll feed some rope out to you so you can climb back. And you better bring me back that string too!!”

There are zurkhwood mushrooms (tree-like) to tie off on.

Tommary be zurkwood tying then climbs Toots' line, then makes his way to his line and ascends while presumably Ely pulls Toots up in her harness.  "So I say we pour fire and maybe some harsh language down there to clear it out ... or we can bee on our way."

“I got two flasks of oil, how much do you have left?”

Tommary the Profligate Inflamable has eight flasks of oil and a bomb.

OOC: I think? The only conflagration he's caused was the wheel of flaming feces flecked sludge and that was using a permaflame candle.  I remember the Gel Cube in the terarrarium with the scorpions and sea lions went kablooey, but I forget whether I bombed it or it just went splatter through some intense applications of magics. 

Elyona willingly lowered Toots as requested.  “I say let’s try burning the nasty down there’s maybe once it’s taken care of our next steps will be evident.”

"I got two flasks of oil!" Ilyara called down the hole.  "But I also got that spell I used to get us through the Flaming Poo Pipe after Tallboots went all firebug on it!  Can move mundane flame around, s' long as there's burnable stuff for me t' move it to!  Also how many ropes are there I thought it was just one and Tallboots was using it!"

OOC: All combined, Toots is carrying 250 feet of rope made of various materials, and that doesn’t include whatever youse all are carrying. Currently two of the ropes have been tied end to end to get Tommary outta the hole.

IC: “What are you shouting for Ily? We’re right here.”

OOC again: Wysp, what did Toots see when she checked in with the magic Eye to see what was up with 9?

The top corridor looks all clear as far as Number 9 and Toots' eye can tell.

"Crap, it ain't gonna here me from this far up, let me try something out before we start casting our precious fluids into a rain of burn down upon it."  Tommary the well calloused and coarsely handed artiste mounts the rope yet again, slides down to just within 60 feet of the cistern's overgoo, and unleashes a torrent of [Tooltip Not Found] at the viscous, WIS save 15 or take 4 psychic damage + disadvantage to attack.

"This ooze is just weak sauce. It just don't want it. It don't skate. It don't score. It don't hit. It don't fight. It floats.  It don't want to win. It don't hate to lose.  I swear if it's still sitting here after this opener, once we get enough space down there I'm climing into its precious pool and taking an aquadump." 

OOC: Jared Keso is in talks to play Tommary in the movie

Your attack does not have any kind of effect.

"So I'm not thinking ooze anymore, folks, you want to try burning it off anyway?  We should probably get these ropes out before we do that."

“Okay, bring up the ropes. Why aren’t you thinking ooze anymore?”

"Even if this ooze had the rare among ooze backbone to not be moved by my chirping, I shoulda seen something ... still might be slime or stuff.  Regardless Windbreaker says something down there is nasty and we need to at least burn that off before we see what's under it as a safety precaution before my aquadump that wasn't just talk to get a rise out of a potential ooze."

“Okay then, let’s lite it up a little and see what happens, if anything. Sound like a plan? Why don’t you dump a flask of oil down there to start after we pull up that rope and I’ll light it off and we’ll see what’s what. Sound like a plan?”

Toots pulls in the rope and could it neatly.

”Oh, and where’s my string sticky fingers?”

Tommary points at Toots the string tied around his finger to remind him he needs to give it back.  Once they have the rigging pulled back up, he begins empty a flask to go along with Toots' plan.

“Thank you.” Toots says taking the gimongous 60 foot ward of string back off of Tommary’s finger. “Wasn’t it hard to climb with your finger all bound up like that? I mean, that’s a lot of string.”

While Tommary is pouring the oil Toots fires up a torch. When Tommary is done pouring Toots asks if everyone is ready and (presuming everyone says yes) she drops the torch down the hole. “Cool” she says, watching the shadows flicker as the torch drops down the length of pipe.

The oil goes splish splash.

The torch falls, like a photon torpedo flying down the pipe. And like the ancient legends, produces a HUGE explosion!

WHA-FOOOMPH!!!!

Everybody is hit with a rush of frigid air and frost while down below there is a flash of blue-green pudding bursting upward before the torch and oil is snuffed out.

“Well, that was interesting, and unexpectedly refreshing, given how warm its generally been in here.  Tommary, did the air seem cold to you down there when you were below?”
