It doesn’t matter who, just a general heads up. It’s a new thing, I think it’s a result of them trying to get the Tasha’s pets to work correctly in the Extras section. It’s been popping up in Bugs & Support for a few days now.
Thanks for the heads up. I thought it might have been me, as I created a "from scratch" monster or two not too long ago, but those are fine, and everything else is copies of existing stuff with modifications, so they should be o.k. too.
OOC: Hey everybody. There is currently a bug in which players cannot edit the extras section of their character sheets if the available options include any monster without an alignment. Since all “homebrew collections” are automatically shared within campaigns, that means if any one player has a single monster without a designated alignment in their collection, then absolutely none of us can access our Extras. I just tried to adjust Toots’ Extra to name her Mouse Mece, but I cannot. So I think we have that issue here. Fixing it now will save time in combat when someone needs to summon something for example.
As the party wracks their brains trying to remember the name of a hoozit, you sense the slightest tremble through the floor. Instead of a constant billow of white steam? gas? from the mountain, you see it stop for just a second before resuming.

Got a 12 on a Nature check on the geyser volcanism, so I'll defer to Oethe's contemplation.
*OOC, you're doing good, you asked to investigate "next steps" and the DM gave us info on the prior occupants direction rather than requiring a roll. Rest of the party wants to role play a meal, expected given their character choices, so most of the posts are downtime role playing. I think it's clear where we're going, but a new environmental detail has been disclosed and some characters are using their skills or abilities to see if they can determine anything relevant from the tremor and steam/smoke. *

Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
((OOC: Is being quiet because he's completely lost))
We’re playing D&D. A bunch of us were just having a little scene around a campfire , having our characters say and do things. That’s playing D&D. I have been doing my best to include Tooltips for what my character casts so you can follow along with those. Unfortunately I cannot tooltip everything. If you you click on the link to my character sheet at the top of page 2 of this thread, you can click around and see what my character’s Racial Abilities are, or what Bardic Inspiration does.
Othe is attempting to see into the distance with a Perception check and Toots used her Bardic Inspiration to give them a bonus. Lethe also cast a spell on themselves to Bain a bonus.
Can I light one of my arrows and shoot it at the steam/gas to see if it's flammable?
*OOC this is really my first time playing D&D and I don't really get what downtime role playing is. I'm also not that clear on the other characters classes etc*
We're doing stuff our characters would do that have nothing to do with the main quest, or any quest for that matter. We’re just playing our characters. That’s part of roleplaying. (It’s not all dice and dragonslaying, in fact most of it is just deciding what your character would do in any given situation and commenting on it.) So Elyona (ArwnsDaughter’s character) is a Halfling who is less comfortable around other Halfling than she is around characters of other races/species/whatever. Toots is a natural extrovert who wants to be friendly with them. Toots is also a Halfling. Elyona was less than thrilled. Toots has also shown interest in learning how to cook, and an armored squirrel (Oethe) has possibly offered to help teach Toots to cook. (Gain proficiency with cook's utensils.) Toots is happy about that.
I am playing a Bard named Toots. Bards tell stories and make music and that allows them to make magic happen. So, toots can cast spells and she can “inspire” characters to do better a stuff. If you look at your character sheet and see the bar that has the name of the campaign you can click on that and you can look through the other characters in this campaign. Look through Toots character sheet if you like. All you won’t be able to see are the RP parts, but all of the mechanical parts you’re more than welcome to explore. And if you have any particular questions feel free to ask.
I won’t speak for any of the others though. And it’s up to the DM about the arrow.
Ahh ha ha. Does it make more sense now what’s going on? And we are apparently not all standardized on designing Narration/IC/OOC the same ways. Sorry about that.
So when you ask questions as a player, not a character, it is called an Out Of Character comment. Game questions or references or whatever. Like the information stated above.
Let's use an OOC: header so that everybody is aware of what is Player comment.
OOC:I had pancakes for breakfast, they were great! <- this is a player comment, not one of the characters in the game saying it.
"Those lembas were rank, I found a maggot in mine!" <- this is a PC (Player Character) comment in the game to other PCs.
The small cave you are in is near the "n" in the word "Town" on the map. That places you about 1000 yards away from the mountain. So while it is possible to shoot an arrow at the mountain, it will fall very short.
The surrounding area is swampy with most of the trees looking bare and malnourished. The path outlined is a raised section of earth and rock, crudely placed to give dry-ish passage through the water and muck. Delick rubs the stubble on his face, "Well that don't look right. Mountain's always blowin steam...never seen it stop before...huh." he shrugs and goes back to plucking ticks out of your mounts' feathers.
By peering carefully in the direction of the mountain, Oethe can make out tiny humanoid figures moving about near the entrance to the "temple." Pondering for a bit, he recognizes the two statues outside as being those dedicated to Yeenoghu. They must be quite large to see them at this distance.
*Yeenoghu is the god of gnolls.

With no alignment selected. “Unaligned” is still a selected alignment and therefore acceptable.
