If you buy the class don't own the other books, you can't gain some spells of the list, like "Evard’s black tentacles", even through the spell "Black tentacles" is avaliable for free in DnDBeyond, which is exactly same. Is it possible to just grant these free avaliable spells instead/additionaly, so one can gain a functioning spelllist from just buying the class?
Hello together, i hope that i don't double post anything. But either i misunderstand the rules or there is an special Case Option for Eldritch Invocation Feat missing.
When a Feat, like Magic Initiate adds the Cantrip Eldritch Blast, shouldn't the Feat for Eldritch Invocations be extended with the Invocations that need EB as a Prerequisite?
When I tested this with a Warlock, it showed me all Invocations as expected. Yet when i create a Paladin with the Magic Initiate (Warlock) Feat and choose Eldritch Blast as a Cantrip, it does not extend the List.
Maybe i misunderstand the Rules here but Agonizing blast has only the Prerequisite that a Character knows EB to learn it, when it is learned via the Magic Initiate Feat, shouldn't it be a viable option as well? Sorry if i maybe misunderstand something here.
Thank you very much in advance and a very Big Thank you to the D&D Beyond Team

The feat states if an invocation has a prerequisite then you must be a warlock to take it AND meet those prerequisites.
To take Agonising Blast invocation using the Eldritch Adept feat you must have Eldritch Blast cantrip AND be a Warlock.
This is for balancing purposes.

Ah, thank you very much for Clearing that up. I am sorry to have Misunderstood this.
The ranger and sorcerer subclasses' specially granted spells do not seem to be implemented in the compendium; in other words, if I look up the web spell on D&D Beyond, Swarmkeeper ranger is not listed as a subclass with access to it.
Guiding bolt also does not have Circle of Stars Druid listed, probably because of the weird way CoS gets access to it.

I was having this issue as well with Cleric spells, but it may be due to the unique way the TCoE expanded spells are being brought in as optional new spells for the classes they are, since they are existing spells that were previously not canon for those classes/subclasses, versus new spells being created specifically for that book. With Tasha's, even if you turn on the toggle for it at the start of your character sheet builder, you have to activate a lot of the optional features manually. For a lot of features, this makes sense, seeing as the new feature would replace the original one you might prefer to use.
I recommend going to your character sheet and going to the "Edit Character" options and going to your class settings, then click "Optional Features Manager" and scroll down. You may have to check "Additional Druid Spells" for those new spells to appear as spells you can add to your known spells and use.

Adurnis216's issue is different than the issue of optional spells. You are quite correct about how to turn on optional spells, but the subclass specific spells do not work that way. They are not "optional" spells, they are automatically and officially part of the subclass. If you take a look at the web entry that Adurnis216 specifically reference, you will see that it lists Circle of the Land (Underdark) as a subclass it is available to, but it does not list SwarmKeeper Ranger. It should list both.
Optional spells don't have a tag for the optional spell lists spells in Tasha, and that is intentional, as LurkyThe HatMan explained. But subclass specific spells should show up there.
I still can't see Tasha's book in the dnd beyond app I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling also restarting my phone no one else seems to have this problem

So I was looking at my player's Humunculus Servant stat block and it seems like anywhere it uses his Proficiency Bonus, it's just using +2 instead of his current +3. I tried removing/adding the infusion to see if this was the problem but this didn't fix it. Not sure if this is a known problem.
So I've done a search and there's no definitive answer that I can find. Does D&D Beyond plan on fixing the Steel Defender for the Battle Smith? It doesn't calculate some stats properly.

Yeah PB stuff isnt functional yet nor is all the Artificer Infusions
The new druid spells aren't showing up in my druid's known spells list. I have turned on the "optional class features" toggle but they still aren't showing up. I've even re-made the character and they aren't showing up. How do I fix this or will this glitch be fixed? I own the source book on D&D Beyond already.

The optional class features toggle isn't enough; you have to activate the specific class feature in question in the optional feature manager also. The OP doesn't do a very good job of explaining this.

They said that they need to change some backend stuff so that it calculates their stats based on the character's stats. We need to wait for that I guess.

I wonder, if they can implement that, perhaps they can do something with Extras to add an appropriate statblock for the new Summon spells since their features scale and change by character stats and casting level - which makes it a nightmare to create statblocks for as the monster making tool was not designed for this - so it's a bit annoying to use the spells because you have to write it all out separately every time.
I doubt they'll get something like that to work but I can hope.

So, in the Rune Knight, it mentions that when you invoke a rune, you can't do so again until after you finish a short or long rest. Yet, in the character sheet, it shows two uses per short rest. Is this a bug, or can a rune actually be used twice per short rest contrary to what the text says in the subclass?
Depends on the level - at 15 you can now do it twice
This may have been addressed, sorry if I'm repeating but I don't want to pour through 89 pages. But I cannot figure out for the life of me with the option to switch out Psionic Spells, hwo can we do it? Like I want to change out Arms of Hadar at second level for Hideous Laughter.

I don't seem to be getting a discount on the TCE Source Book despite owning all the Artificer subclasses. Is this a bug or a specific reason that TCE doesn't discount for previously purchased content?
