TLDR: I'm looking for your favourite short and beginner-friendly 5e campaigns.
Context:
So my partner asked me to run a game for her and her friends. They've never played before, never listened to a podcast, nothing. She did however hear all about the LMoP campaign that I ran with my friends, so she wants something else.
I looked into the Dragon of Icespire Peak, and found it quite lackluster. There's no hook, and the bulletin board idea is a bit bland to me. She's also not super into the idea of a mystery urban crawl setting, so Dragonheist is out. (Plus, i've never played it and really dont want to ruin it for myself by reading everything first).
Does anyone have shorter campaign reccomendations?
Here are two free official Adventures that might be perfect for your needs: https://www.dndbeyond.com/quarantine. One is Frozen Sick which Durandir_Bonhart suggested, and the other is Wildmount: Dark Star.
Ghosts of Saltmarsh's 1st adventure is really good. I ran it in 5e and played it in 1st edition. It has a decent amount of combat, but has roleplaying opportunities and puzzle solving. You can run this an an entire campaign up to 12th level with some filler adventures.

If you want something official, check out the Frozen Sick here, it's free: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/wa/frozen-sick
I also heard good opinions on the one shot called "The Wild Sheep Chase"

I really liked Ghosts of Saltmarsh when I ran the haunted house part for some friends who haven't played before.
