If it meant getting a complete overhaul/revamp to the homebrew system, meaning improved ease of use, no more work arounds, and other things on your wish list, would you be alright with the removal of all current homebrew?

If I can't say something nice, I try to not say anything at all. So if I suddenly stop participating in a topic that's probably why.
Do you mean making all published homebrew suddenly unpublished, or removing all of the countless hours of work that many of us have spent homebrewing things by deleting all homebrew, including private homebrews?

As this is theoretical I'll give two possible ways I can see them doing this (bear in mind I have no knowledge of coding). The first way is them removing all published homebrew and freezing homebrew you've made and possibly making an update to new version button and not letting you publish it until it's been updated, and the second way would be a complete reset. The reason I believe these 2 are the most likely is because I imagine it would be pretty hard to make a completely revamped homebrew system and keep it backwards compatible then again I have no functional knowledge of coding so what do I know.

If they unpublished everybody’s homebrews and we had to comply/update to the new system before republishing I would love that. (Then I could fix all my mistakes.) If the system just ate all my ‘brews I’d be PISSED.
Most of the published homebrew is definitely garbage and wont be missed, but there are a few that I have found that I would hate to lose from my collection once someone else’s feats are unpublished. If they announced the intention to reset it all, then I could reach out to the person who made them to make sure they remake it in the new system and be properly credited.
Is this something that's in the cards, or is it just idle wondering? I, for one, would love a reset that left my current brews unpublished. That's what happened last time.

Just idle wondering. And if the still unfinished general features update is anything to say we won't see a revamped Homebrew system for years.

Even if that happened the originals would remain in your collection. Under “Your Homebrew Collection,” I henever you expanded the ‘brew would only display “This item is not longer acessible.” However, those homebrews would still function on any character sheets in DDB campaigns you participate in.
I am definitely in agreement with Sposta. If it was delete everything, then I'd be a bit unhappy. But if it meant unpublish and lock them out for just referencing so you could choose to make a new version in the system based off it? Then brilliant.
I've made a lot of homebrew, I just like trying to come up with stuff. I can't test them all, or any really, and so I published to make it easier to share them with others, both on and off this site, and gain feedback. Thing is, I've learned over the years, there's been changes to the system so now the homebrew isn't as good as it could be, and I've had feedback. The rulesets have also changed with new and different perspectives on balance (with another shift incoming for the intended One D&D where the likes of variant human and strixhaven backgrounds would be frowned upon or outright banned... And here's One D&D saying "let's make it the standard" [and in truth I'm totes here for it]). So there's a lot that I'd really prefer to rebuild. There's just no point trying on the current system. Too much is locked off or not supported and the update lag makes testing a torturous nightmare akin to a lobotomy. I haven't made much lately, and frankly can't be bothered. I homebrew stuff that are kept private for a per-character basis only and only if I get approval from my DM.
And, if I'm going to be honest, the delete everything approach wouldn't be the end of the world for me. I don't use anyone's homebrew but my own because I prefer making my own stuff my own way. And I have the "ideas" of the stuff saved so restarting from scratch on a new, proper homebrew system would be ok for me. I'd probably enjoy it even. But that's me - and I can see why others would not be the same.
TL:DR; I voted "yes."

Unpublishing all existing homebrew and adding in the ability to edit or unlist homebrew publishings would be welcome.
