I am trying to create a magic weapon with adjustments to the versatile properties of the base weapon. I am hoping for a 2d4 Warhammer, with a 2d6 Versatile property. All attempts I have made at this haven't been successful, and I wondered if anyone had been able to make such amendments?

I'm no expert but making two versions of the weapon and simply toggling between them depending on how it's being wielded should work.
Hadn't thought of that as an option - not ideal though, especially as this is an improving/heirloom item, so it'll 6 items as opposed to 3. Thanks for the option though!
Thanks folks! That's solved my versatile damage issue! Now to wrestle DnDB into changing the damage type and letting me add a specific amount for the reach distance.

You would have to start with a 2d4 weapon and add the versatile property to it. Unfortunately the only 2d4 melee weapon is the double bladed scimitar.

Changing the damage type is easy: Modifier: Replace Damage Type->Subtype: [new type]. As for a custom reach, that’s impossible.

You can’t change the range on a weapon, it’s just a thing we can’t do.
