I was trying to show Hew's max damage to plant creatures and wooden objects but there doesn't seem to be a neat way to do that unless I missed something.
Hew is already available, from within the Lost Mines of Phandelver adventure.
With regards to representing max damage vs a specific type of opponent, that's handled by describing the ability in the text. The player is responsible for applying the ability themselves, when attacking the relevant opponent type (in this case, choosing an 8, rather than rolling a d8).

Yeah, but I already have the physical adventure so I didn't see a need to buy it in digital format as well at the tail end of the campaign for a few magic items. It was just an example, being able to have just a static damage value without any dice value would still be useful regardless.
Yup, I already have it there but it would be nice to be able to put it in the damage section as well for ease of play, at the moment I have it as follows "1d8+5 S (1d10+5) max to plant creatures and wooden objects", which works okay enough.
I hope that by asking this question, I am doing it in the correct Forum...
I am working on creating a Background, when I add the equipment and save it everything looks good; however, when creating a character...none of the equipment shows up!
If anyone here has ever created a Homebrew Background, it would be really awesome if you could explain how to add equipment to the background so that it shows up as starting equipment during the character creation process.
For hombrew items is there a list of Modifier explanations/more information?
I am trying to give extra domain spells to an item (or auto prepared spells) and I am trying to use "Bonus domain spells" but i am having no luck with it.
Maybe I missed it but there was no discussion regarding the syntax of function text. Such as [skill]Stealth[\skill]. Is there a thread where I can read about this. I can see that it repeats with conditions. I would just like to see an in depth CODE thread.

The beneficial/detrimental properties tables are not associated with homebrewing magical items. More importantly, they don't even show up when I use the general search bar. They are currently squirreled away in the Artifacts section of the DMG. Easier access would be awesome.
I'm excited to make use of homebrew races, classes, and subclasses. Glad to see it is being worked on. Is it far enough along for some form of ETA? If not, totally understandable with the kind of work that is involved.
Yes. So I made a monster in the homebrew application. Now that I have created a better version of the that monster how do I remove the previous iteration?

If the previous monster had been approved, from that you would "Create a New Version" so that the update (once approve) replaces the first iteration.

Thanks in advance and happy homebrewing.
Is there talk of adding homebrew subclass options? My Warlock has a homebrew patron, but I don't see an option to add this. Would love to see!

Will there be a system implemented for hombrew items to be vestiges? With the new sponsorship of Critical Role it wouls be cool to make some.

Homebrew races & subclasses will be soon. Real soon.

Okay, but how do I remove monsters from the main homebrew monster list?

That worked thank you. I do have another question though. Can people leave likes or comment on your homebrew monsters?
Best Regards.
