(Um my turn now)
Tempe moves his full speed ending up 15ft away fires two bolts of radiant light at one of the remaining Sahagun
Attack: 13 Damage: 8
Attack: 8 Damage: 5
then two more at a different one investing a ki point
Attack: 18 Damage: 7
Attack: 25 Damage: 9
Radiant Sun BoltSCAG, pg. 35
You gain a special ranged spell attack with a range of 30 ft. that uses your DEX modifier and deals radiant damage equal to your Martial Arts die. When you take the Attack action, you can spend 1 ki point to make the special attack twice as a bonus action and you can use this attack as any of the attacks using the Extra Attack feature.
ooc: I'll add one more ki point to actually hit with that first attack hopefully so it would be a 13 instead of an 11
Focused AimTCoE, pg. 49
When you miss with an attack roll, you can spend 1-3 ki points to increase your attack roll by 2 for each of these ki points you spend, potentially turning the miss into a hit.
Any Sahaugin that did not retreat before or die to your attacks take this opportunity to disengage and dive overboard.
(The combat is over, unless anyone wants to jump overboard?)

"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
The captain gives orders to double the watch and overlap shifts so there's always a few extra hands on deck. To make sure he offers a bounty on the blasted things. You notice more of the crew is on deck than below decks, whether it's for the bounty or because they can't sleep or whatever other reason.
One of the crew approaches shortly after the attack is over and asks if there's anything you can do for Peg-leg Pete. "He was hurt pretty bad blocking the way to the captain." (Any medicine check or spare the dying cantrip will do, if you want to save spell slots or potions and such.)

Tempe slow falls to the deck deactivating the boots knowing this resource is finite he is surprised when the magician approaches most people avoid him since he looks much like their worst fear. With a serene look on his face he gives a curt bow
"Ignis Tempestas, but I call myself Tempe." He looks to the sea. "It has the look of serenity but volatile at heart, much like the dragon." said as he points towards it. "We can show no mercy on them. For those creatures that escaped will bring more. We should rest and be prepared. Or we may perish. Shame this is not a fort so we could pour oil over the side and ignite it."
Tempe looks for the crows nest on this ship climbs the mast too it and meditates inside simi keeping a look out using his last ki till the short rest replenishes it to heal himself. 7, 4
”But of course, Captain,” replies Randall. Raising his voice, Randall proclaims, “The blessing of the Morninglord be upon you all!” and channels a divine healing blessing for everyone below half hit points (Preserve Life for 30 hp distributed among the wounded).

Peg-leg Pete is assured to recover and other crew take him below to get some rest.
You sail on through the night and more than half the crew remain awake. (You can all take a long rest and don't need to post watch with so many crew awake.)

While resting for the evening, Zenodur introduces himself further to the group.
"I thank you all for welcoming us. I have always tried to help my neighborhood. Then, a few years ago, through a series of strange events, I came into contact with an unfathomable old being which offered me strange powers - in return for occasional services."
He pauses for a second and studies the looks he is getting.
"I know what you are thinking. But no. My Patron is not evil, and demands no strange sacrifices or black deeds. The services requested of me range from the mundane to the bizarre, but are generally harmless and in the long run often seem to help communities or people.
The latest instructions of my Patron were to join this ship and wait for these dwellers of the deep to attack. I won't pretend to know why, but there is always a bigger picture; so I humbly ask that I may join your expedition, and in time we may discover why I was sent."
(I’m pretty sure Preserve Life only heals up to half max hp, so I’ll pull only 1 from the pool.)
“Peg-leg Pete? The pirate? Oh my, oh yes, what what?”
Petcan finds a barrel to sit on and start bandaging his own wounds, and eating from the ship’s rations. (hit dice rolled on my sheet)
“Tempe, I don’t care about your look half so much as your spirit and your strength.”
Tempe bows "Thankyou for your compliment, I have wondered from the monastery of the sun. Only stopped here to let my transportation, recharge." He looks at the sea "It would appear I found adventure for my error. Live and learn."
His tail taps against the deck "How did you end up here?"
“You know, it seems like such a long story but maybe it’s not as long as I thought… I had been with my mother all my life before this started. I’d set out on my own to grow and learn as a performer and as a mage. Maybe she knew this would happen?” Petcan settles in for a long spiel.
”Anyway, I came to a village where it was found an enormous horde of goblins was descending. A patchy thing, not so much battle lines and troop movements… at first. We would act to delay and slow the horde, while hurrying the villagers along towards safety and the city. We succeeded, collecting other people in need of shelter along the way.”
”When we arrived at the city, the city was packed to the brim with refugees, and it turns out there was more than one of these ‘hordes’ and they were moving in coordination. Someone was commanding them, and with enough authority and power to control them. But we also learned there was no room for the people we’d tried to rescue within the city walls.”
”That was when we found a merchant who was impressed with our feats. He needed people to set up a trade post out here on an island, and persons of action to helm the venture. The townsfolk wouldn’t have to sit outside the walls then at least.”
”This world has much more terror in it than I ever knew.”
During the rest, Bow will join in the small talk before going to sleep. When he wakes he fills his handbow clips and puts a new clip in both bows. Than he imbues his bow again with his rite of dawn, as you never know when they are attacked. Better be ready; he takes 3 damage

Randall:
(Note that last round the spiritual weapon hit with a 17 against AC for 11 points of damage).
Randall keeps the spiritual weapon going strong, smacking the nearest sahuagin, then follows up with a swipe from LIghtbringer!

Petcan will keep firing Firebolts after them as they flee, but turns back to the deck after they’re out of sight.

He turns to the newcomers. ”Who are you two, by the way? I’m Petcan, and I very much appreciate your help there, you were incredible.”
