"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
When the Reeve sees Randall and hears what he has to say he agrees and heads off to oversee the preparations.
"Thank you, yes, thank the gods for helping us." And as he heads off you can hear him from a distance still muttering in a bit of shock, "Praise be to Brother Randall! Praise be to Lathander!"

A bit embarrassed at the praise, but happy that Lathander is getting some mote of worship, Randall says, “Petcan, you spoke of traps and barricades. If we can set some of that up with traps along the incoming roads and barrels and sacks set up behind barricades to look like defenders, perhaps we can delay the oncoming army. Unfortunately, my skills do not lie in deception or speed of movement for that matter, are you skilled enough to help us do this, perhaps with some of the braver members of the town’s defenders to really sell the ruse? It would give the townsfolk a better head start if it works.”
”Bow, if we can have volleys of arrows sailing in at the oncoming goblins from behind various barracades, we might fool them into thinking we have scores of archers defending the town. What do you think?” asks Randall, trying to figure out how best they can slow the oncoming horde.

"I like that idea" Grim says, getting back from feeding the Worg "We need to lead them to some narrowing area where we can hit them with ranged attacks before they know what's going on. Also, the people here should take or hide as much as they can of supplies the Goblins might use and burn the rest."
"I can help disguise Grim," Syvis volunteers, "and I can lead the ambush. I'm good at hiding and they can't see me in the darkness. We'll be prepare when they come."
He pauses for a second, and continues, "if there's time, I will be able to craft some poison to aid in our ambush."

"I'll defer to your judgement there, Petcan. Certainly if no archers from town wants to join us, we won't be able to have enough arrows for a ruse without some kind of magical aid," responds Randall, adding, "I can go ahead and get started with some barricades as the townsfolk leave."

Over the course of hours you manage to erect 4 separate barricades around the Reeves' residence on each of the roads leading to the structure. Some of the more able-bodied and strong helped lift and drag all sorts of tables and chairs and various furniture into a heap, others brought rakes and hoes and spades, arranging them to stick from the barricades much like sharpened wooden spikes.
Also during this time the 'Refugees of Garrum' gather what they can carry without slowing themselves down and use most of the time to put distance between themselves and the goblin horde.
Anyone who is capable of fighting among the refugees will not leave their loved ones undefended. They apologize and thank you for helping them but they just want to get away if they can. They all seem very frightened of the idea of a goblin horde that large.

If Syvis has Grim disguised well enough he will head out to draw a scouting party into a trap. "The more advanced scouts we take out the slower thier progress will be. Pick one of the barricaded spots along the outskirts of town. We will ambush there."
As Grim goes to mount the worg it shies away with a low growl, not sure what Grim's approach meant it starts sniffing and looking around on the ground.
