Relieved, Fen puts his shortsword back and walks around the perimeter of the carriage, looking out for more clues and, possibly, somewhere to rest the wounded.

He finds the remains of the guards, but the sight makes him want to turn away. Some distance ahead, he also stumbles upon a good spot for camping. He takes a mental note of it and goes back to the group to let them know.

Rweni senses that the child’s life is left in the hands of whatever God or Goddess this family prays to. She comforts the mother and child before taking a look around the battlefield.
Finding nothing but a battlefield of dead kobolds and their weapons, Rweni checks in on the passengers. ”I pray that Sune and your Gods will watch over you. What unfortunate circumstances led to these kobolds attacking you? Were you ambushed? Was anyone else with you?”

"Allow me to introduce myself." the older one says, standing, up. When she does you notice that she might not be all to fine herself. "I am princess Eliza Dravis von Udan, heir to the throne of Udan, and this here, is my baby sister Elizabeth Octavia von Udan." She says with a slight bow. "We were going to Shadowbay to discuss increasing the patrols of the trade route when a strange rift opened. Then the kobolds attacked." As she is telling the events of what happened, she is shaking with fear. "The coachman tried to help get us away but was killed by the kobolds. Did any of our guards survive?" She asks, looking Rweni.
”I am unsure, Princess. I did not see anyone else, though that does not mean they are not around. I did not look very hard, my concern was with the carriage occupant’s safety. You mentioned a strange rift opened. How long ago was that and was it right here? Those kobolds came from the rift? Who were you going to talk to regarding increasing patrols on the trade route? Strictly Udan patrols or with another faction?”
Rweni reaches a hand towards the Princess seeing that she is a little unstable to provide her some balance. She looks to the rest of her party, ”Has anyone seen the Princess’ guards?”

Fen, after coming back to the party, says "I've seen some guards. Just not the living kind though..."
"I found a good spot for setting camp. I think we should settle down, rest for a while."
If the party agrees, he will lead them to the camping spot.
Rweni looks to Fen, “Tragic. Thank you for finding them.” She turns towards Eliza, “I can provide a rite for the passing of your guards, if you’re okay with that. We are actually heading the opposite direction; however, we may provide an escort back to Shadowbay if you’d like, provided your carriage is intact.”
Rweni takes a look at the carriage to see how badly damaged it is.
The Carriage is badly damaged, the axle is shattered, and a wheel is broken. "Either to Shadowbay or to the Udan checkpoint. The checkpoint is much closer, to be honest. I assure you I can pay for the escort, no matter the route we take. I will just need to get to a place where I can get access to some money, and a messenger to send word to my mother. I would also be very grateful if you performed the rite on them. My nation worships Sune, so it makes it easier."
”I think the checkpoint is agreeably the best course of action. I would best check with my party, however, to see if they want to travel on or make camp here tonight and press tomorrow.”
Rweni finds the dead guardsmen with Fen’s assistance and silently prays last rites for them. Then, she gathers everyone together, “Well, it seems the occupants could use an escort to their last checkpoint, which I presume is along the same way we were heading anyhow. The Princess says she can pay for our services to ensure she gets back safely.”
She looks to find the sun to see where in the day it is. ”Shall we camp here tonight? Fen says he found a good campsite.”
Andarel wanders into view, coming out of the all grass where she had been waiting. Not hiding exactly, just letting some of the more commonly acceptable races make the introductions. "Camp site good. Needs clearing before letting them sleep there." She points to the princesses, and thinks of the dead guards she found. "Checkpoint on our way, likely safer too. We taking anything expect them?" The way that Andarel's eye's move about the carriage makes it cleat the question is whether anything on the broken carriage is salvageable, or needs transporting back to the checkpoint.
(Like I said, Fen showed/shows anyone where the camp is)
"The guard corpses are not right in the camp (I think), but it should still be useful to gather and burn them probably... Wouldn't want hungry wolves near the camp," Fen says.

After the camp is set up, Andarel looks to each of her companions, their first night out in the field. "Any early risers? I'll take first watch, not sleepy yet." She wanders around the camp, set up with the wagon near the campfire offering some warmth to the princesses who are clearly not used to this sort of arrangement.
“I can take the early morning watch also. I prefer getting up to watch the sun rise.” Rweni finds a place to unfurl her sleeping mat and pulls a brown, wool blanket out of the cart from her personal equipment. She doffs her armor and makes sure her shield and flail are nearby. She nestles in for the night.
As the night goes by, nothing really happens. A few curios wild animals investigate your campsite over the night but other than that, nothing happens. As the morning star begins to rise, and everyone begins to wake up, Eliza is shaken awake by her sister. She gets out of the wagon, and heads towards the fire, saying that her sister is awake.
