Vandar hears the trickle of the stream echoing through the now empty tunnel, from the passage to the east he hears what sounds like a small waterfall..
Lothar finds a dagger and a yklwa beside him in the stream bed.
Being swept away after his failed attempt to climb the rocks, Lothar is left drenched and out of breath. "These goblins are tricky. Perhaps more caution is necessary," he says to the others regaining their feet. Finding the two weapons, he asks, "Did anyone lose these?" and holds them out for inspection.
And now Tibern will react accordingly to an unknown magical item suddenly attuning itself to him against his own will.
Finding the strange and unknown staff that had somehow against his own will attuned to him, the tiefling bard threw it away from himself. There we no way He would mess with any magical item that He did not know the use of, having heard to many tales of horrible curses. Carefully stepping around it, He got out of the water and sighed. "This adventure is not worth writing any songs about." He muttered to himself in a whisper, before cursing in infernal as he realized that most of his supplies in his pack had been ruined by the water.
Once his anger over his ruined supplies faded he heard Lothar speak and saw that the warrior had his lost dagger. With a nod of thanks he took the weapon back and returned it to the small sheath on his hip.

And now I need to repost suemto the stupid Wi-Fi in the lunchroom at work going out....
Tibern reluctantly went to look at the strange staff, having to resist the urge to throw it back in the water from whence it came. He figured it was so e kind of magic as he had felt something from it but still did not want to risk the item being cursed.
Vandar makes his way down a short tunnel that opens into a larger chamber. The chamber has another opening to the south and a small water fall on the east side. The noise of the fall is very loud in this room. The waterfall fills a large pool bordered by a small stone wall, this empties into another walled section which has been pulled apart to release the flood. Three goblins await the signal to release the second flood, they do not detect Vandar.
Tibern recognizes one symbol amongst the carvings on the staff as one carried by clerics of Illmater, and feels nothing strange or foreboding about it, besides the inital shock of it seeming to attune itself to him.
An arcana or religion check could reveal more about the staff, im on my phone now, i will post a map after work tonight.

Tibern as always was cautious about the symbol of such a good, knowing that the goodly gods did not usually like his kind due to their connection to the lower planes. With little else to go on, the tiefling picked up the staff and began to make his way back into the cave. He studied it a bit as he walked but not enough to take his eyes out for trouble.

Deciding discretion is the better part of valor, Vandar makes his way back down the tunnel to warn the rest of the group about the remaining goblins planning a second flooding of the stream.
The rock dam that held in the western pool has been removed allowing the water to flood the tunnel. The southern most goblin appears to be listening very hard to hear the signal (the sound of the waterfall is very loud in that room and dampens any other noise).
Tibern examines the staff remembering everything he has been told about cursed and magical items. He recognises the symbol of Illmater:
He knows that Illmater is the god of those who suffer, the oppressed, and the persecuted, and that his followers offer them relief and support and encourage them to endure. Clerics of Illmater can be found wandering almost any trail looking to aid those in need, and are always aware of the struggles of Tieflings who are often unjustly judged as evil decedents of Asmodeus. Laying a curse on a item imbued with divine power would be difficult to say the least and would surely require the removal or alteration of the holy symbol, cursed items often have such tells if one inspects them closely (such as a bag of devouring which looks just like a bag of holding except the face is frowning), this item shows no signs of being a cursed item.
However Tibern is still left wondering why this item seems drawn to him.
For the time being, Tibern will stowed the staff away as he had neither the time nor the knowledge to figure out what the staff could do in their current development. It was a vague hope but perhaps one of the other members of his party could guess at the exact use.
Decidng he'd rather not risk climbing again if he doesn't have to, Vandar decides to try the tunnel on the other side to try to get back to the rest of the party, which looks like it slopes down, so will probably lead back down to the stream bed.
Bron got a little wet, but the passage he is in slopes upward and therefore he was mostly out of the water, it did make standing difficult for a few seconds as the floor of that passage is very loose rubble and difficult to traverse even when dry, but it was nothing Bron could not handle.
Vandar begins to head down the tunnel to the west of the bridge (this tunnel is in fact mostly level with the bridge), as he nears the bend he can smell the two distinct odors of a cooking fire and unwashed goblins coming from up ahead. (Bron can smell the same thing, though Vandar dose not know this.)

Vandar slows his steps as he senses more goblins. He makes his way quietly forward to see how many goblins there are this time. (Would I get advantage for being in the dark while they're sitting at a camp fire?)
Vandar will try to see if he can detect signs of anymore goblins nearbly (presumably none visible, but if he hears anything, etc)

Dose anyone investigate the staff? roll a few checks see what its all about?
Hearing no more enemies nearby, Vandar moves down the passage to his east to investigate the waterfall he hears.

(How much of this did I see?, including tibern pick8mg up the staff because that healing would be helpful)
Glen was right outside the cave where Tibern was deposited by the flood, so he saw the whole thing.
(Would Bron have been affected by the flood ?)
