(I wonder if I rolled high enough on a persuasion check if I could get him to go back to sleep.... Well it would at least be hilarious to try)
"This is all in your dreams my small brained friend. It is just that bothersome wolf trying to make you wake up with its need to bark and growl for no feasible reason." Tibern says to the bugbear, more to taunt and tease then anything else.
(It worked in the irl campaign my just got me invited into with my dwarf who had a minus one to charisma, Yay for nat 20s. Ah well even if it didn't work it is still pretty funny to try.)
“Two-Weapon Fighting When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you're holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you're holding in the other hand. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative. If either weapon has the thrown property, you can throw the weapon, instead of making a melee attack with it.”
I was mistaken in thinking that a rapier is classified as light, however it is not. So Tibern is not able to dual wield with a rapier without the dual wield feat.
sorry about the confusion, I should know this stuff.
For now my previous ruling stands, but in the future I’m sticking to the rules on this.
Wow then every dm I have ever played with before was wrong on that and now I feel stupid.... Now it also makes me wonder why enemies can do that with a longsword and dagger and other weapons that are not considered light. Anyway thanks for letting me know. Now I need to see if Tibern can take a goblin weapon.... Here is hoping they have a shortsword around here.
I would be very impressed if anyone knew all the rules of this game without having to look some stuff up. The light/finesse thing is easy enough to mix up. Also most dms have their own “house rules” and may allow rapiers to be used as light weapons, since this is my first play by post campaign I’m trying to stick to the rules as written. Feel free to challenge my rulings if I screw up, it will only help us all learn the game a little better.
Enemy stat blocks usually have special moves and such which often allow for two attacks.
I know the enemy part I was just grumbling about it a bit. Well now that I know I will need to make sure my rogue on the Storm Kong's thunder thread I on doesnot do that. Luckily though I got a shortsword off a dead guard body we found so that should help.
It is Tibern’s turn. All of these goblins are equipped with goblin made scimitars, these are poorly made and would likely break after a few battles, Tibern is not proficient with scimitars anyway. There are however lots of crates obviously plundered from other people in this room and who knows what you may find inside them after this fight.

Tibern smirks at the bugbear as he calls upon his magic and readies himself to blast both the wolf and Kmart with the spell Thunder Wave.
(Both need to make a con save for the spell. If they fail they take 8 thunder damge and normally would be pushed ten feet away. If they pass the save they take half damage.)
A magical wave of force explodes from Tibern with a crack of thunder, sending the bugbear, wolf, bedroll, and crates flying straight against the wall. The wolf and Klarg end up prone and clearly in a world of hurt.
Klarg growls, “Arrgh, little goblins help Klarg, Klarg command you!”
The remaining goblin looks to his departed friend, then at the adventurers, and finally glares at Klarg raises it’s middle finger at the bugbear turns around then jumps down the hole. The goblin manages to find some good handholds on the way down and turns to run out of the cave only to see two slightly moist adventurers standing in it’s way.
Glen and Silas get a surprise attack on the goblin. Also roll initiative you two.

Lothar
Seeing his opportunity while the bugbgear is prone, Lothar rushes the foul beast. He lifts his greatsword up and brings it down in a long sweeping arc. As he saw the blade strike true, a rush of adrenaline fills his blood as he sees its' blood start to pour out before him.
Lothar growls as the bugbear’s head is split from crown to neck. He then searches Klarg’s body and sleeping area for anything that may be of help in searching for the dwarf.

Still waiting on SeaAg to roll Lothar's initiative.
Feel free to make some banter.
Klarg, after being awoken by Tiber's blades shrieks "Raagh! Klarg sleeping! Who make Klarg bleed? Klarg break you tiny skull!"

Persuasion: 12
Klarg looks at Tibern and begins to close his eyes, then suddenly opens them wide and says, "Pointy man lies to Klarg! Klarg no dumb!"
Haha, despite what klarg says he is a real dummy and under different circumstances or a better roll that may have worked.

Lothar is up.
(If Tibern is able after knocking them prone he would like to move away from them now.)

Attack: 14 Damage: 9
Silas will use sacred flame(DeX save 11) 3 damage.
The last thing Klarg ever sees is a large dark skinned man towering before him and a flash a steel as the greatsword comes down and splits his skull.
Meanwhile in the cavern below a very surprised goblin narrowly avoids the fiery glow of the sacred flame cast upon it by Silas.
Lothar
Lothar growls as the bugbear’s head is split from crown to neck. He then searches Klarg’s body and sleeping area for anything that may be of help in searching for the dwarf.
