While not exactly taken aback at the sight of the undead, the fact that retained some degree of intelligence and even magnanimity had at least warranted a raise brief brow raise from the halfling, before her expression turned a touch conflicted in the moment and leave plenty of room for others to step up to the plate. It's only after Neya that she found the courage speak up and peak around the legs of Utar (and whoever else happened to be up front)in the guise of the cultist.
"I... Forgive this one and these ones as well. But what they speak is more or less true, honored one." She says, directing her words to the skull face pauldron guy. "Th-though they chanced upon this place -- th-these one's here, that is-"She gestures to the group around. "-there coming here had been fortuitous i-in repelling invaders that came before them, seeking the scale to either destroy... or hand over to Dragon overlords,."She bowed her head and with a deepened frown continue, "... Noone here is left, be they living or undead... None save I, preserved by my own thanks to-..."She shakes her head.
"It doesn't matter. What does is that the scale is no longer safe here. The invaders are relentless. And though your combined power is great, it won't be enough. So I must ask that you allow us to move it. Sequester it away with others of our Circle that yet remain before these invaders have a chance to direct their full might and attention to this place."
In response to Utar: "Yes, seal us away and leave."
In response to Neya: "Skovac, the Scalebinder, still stands. The Circle still stands and is solely dedicated to ensuring that the relic is not disturbed. Anything else is trivial."
In response to Obsben: "It seems you still live, Julio, and you remain as naive as always. The living will never understand the permanency of undeath. I can protect the Scale for eternity, and soon so will you, traitorous halfling!"
Graxx grips his axe in response, which is the last indication of defiance Skovac can take. "YOUR SOUL IS FORFEIT!"
Needing to start off on a strong footing and to give the others some more room to work with, Neya uses the existing shadows to teleport herself to the druid further from her (Shadow Step to AI-23). There, she draws her sword and slashes the wild undead.
Neya kicks things off by suddenly appearing next to one of the feral druids and cutting into their undead flesh. The creature doesn't react in the slightest to being slashed. (Feral Druid#2 takes 16 slashing damage.)
The creature immediately retaliates, its brethren advancing towards Utar and also attacking.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The enemy sinks its fangs into Neya's forearm, although the fighter feels no pain on account of her shored resolve to fight. The creature tries to swipe its claws against Neya's torso, but she is faster than her foe. (Neya takes 12 piercing damage.)
Utar slaps the creature in front of him {AK-26} with his shield in order to avoid a bite attack, but his foe still finds a hole in his breastplate, from where a claw draws some of the half-orc's blood. The wound immediately feels a bit funny, but Utar resists whatever infection those claws certainly carry. (Utar takes 9 slashing damage.)
LAIR ACTION
The red scale upon the altar flares up, sending a streak of flame towards Utar and Graxx:
DEX saving throw {DC 18}, save for half damage: 18
Neither hero is able to move out of the way of the fire shot, though a flame-like sheen sparks up in Utar's defense. (Graxx takes 17 fire damage; Utar takes 8 fire damage, already halved.)

"It pains me then to this, but..."Obsben spoke, still very much in the deep in the cut by all appearances. "You leave me... no other recourse. But worry not. I-I will prove to you that this is the right course. I swear." She continued as she rose once more fully to her feet and dug out a set of coin. "E-even if I must break with tradition to m-make it so." Salty appears to grimace at something, but dutifully drops his dagger to go zipping into the room to start harassing one of the more feral druids.
As for Obby, she flips the coins each in the air, suspending and transforming them in the air with her magic before sending the golden bolts of force streaking for the one harrying Utar. All but the one, which she sends right for Neya's nuisance with a little help from Salty Bottom. "Graxxy! Don't hold back. He's not to underestimated!" She called out after, hoping to further put some pep in the barbarians step!

Obsben keeps the ruse for now, communicating with the Scalebinder as if she was indeed the traitorous version of Julio. The witch girl encourages both Salty Bottom and Graxx into action (Bardic Inspiration to the latter) and reaches into her pouch for some golden coins. Before she can transform those coins into darts of magic, her winged monkey catches the attention of two nearby enemies:
(OOC: The second attack above was not supposed to say "Claws" but "Gnarly Root" instead.)
SB does his best to weave past to enemies in his quest to help Neya fight her foe. Unfortunately, the undead creatures do not allow him to pass. One of the feral druids slashes the familiar with its claws but, even before the wound can magically fester, the head-honcho effortlessly commands a root to grow from his armor, strike SB down, and then sink back into his person. The familiar's skin begin to rot and, a moment later, SB disappears. (SB takes 34 slashing, bludgeoning, and necrotic damage and POOFS AWAY.)
By the time this happens, Obsben is already mid-way through her spellcasting. The first five golden blasts hit the druid who first hit SB., while a sixth does the job the familiar had been ordered to do, that is, help Neya. (Feral Druid#1 takes 28 force damage; Feral Druid#2 takes 4 force damage.)
Then, while Obby prepares to react to the enemies' next action, Graxx jumps into action himself {AK-25}. Raging, the barbarian swings his powerful weapon against Skovac. Despite his armor being made of wood, it seems to repel one of the blows effectively. Graxx is still able to deliver a blow, though. The Scalebinder reacts with a grunt. (Skovac takes 34 magical slashing and radiant damage.)

Taking Lightbringer into his hand, Utar takes a moment to take in what is now a target rich environment. Deciding to even the odds in favour of CRAP, he casts spirit guardians, using a fifth level spell slot.
Nodding to Grewalt, Ilim and Abet as the step out of nothingness, he readies himself to get to work.
Skovak signals for his many minions to move forward while commanding: "PROTECT THE SCALE!" The leader himself gives his followers some space, by moving back to a corner {AH-28}. As he moves, he shimmers in and out of view, making it impossible for CRAPers to take attacks of opportunity.
(@Ori: I am not forgetting that you had a counterspell in the chamber but line of sight has been broken when Skovac moved as a legendary action.)
From his new spot, Skovac quickly whips out a spell, suddenly obscuring the entire room and beyond in a cloud of yellow-green toxic fog. The entire area becomes heavily obscured.
@Obsben: You get a sense that Skovac developed hatred, resentment, and bitterness in undeath towards the living. Whatever his personality and goals were while alive have all diminished to a single-minded desire to maintain the scale undisturbed. This is reflected in his choice of actions and words. Your Julio ruse is unlikely to change any of that, although it is clear he believes you are indeed Julio. That said, the robe you are wearing seems to have some minor effect on the other undead in the room.
