The group moves off of the path slightly to set up their camp. There are some trees not too far away to retrieve some fallen branches from to help make a campfire as Pip helps Urten with setting up some early warning signals.
Urten, if you would please make a Survival check with advantage.
If each of you wants to take a watch, you may make a Perception check and declare which watch you are taking.
While the group lightens their load and begins to sleep, Thea takes the first watch. As she is waiting out the dusk hours, she suddenly hears one of the trip wires set up jingly lightly.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thea darts up, quickly scanning the area for anything obviously "off" (Perception: 8). If shes not able to discern any threats by then, she will carefully approach the direction of the tripwire to see what caused the alert.
Thea takes another look around the area, making sure theres nothing worse hiding than the mice. Since these types seem interesting, she will take a second to study them after reinstalling the tripwire and ultimately returning to the campside.
The mice seem to scurry away once Thea is taking notice of them. They rush towards what appears to be a small hole in the earth about thirty foot away. It is probably their nest.
The night passes without any further incident, the group taking their share of watches. As it gets to dawn, the golden rays bathe upon the party, giving a welcoming warmth to them as they roll up their bedrolls and get ready for the final day's march back to Allhaven.
As Thea attempts to pick up the container, she finds that it is too heavy for her to carry.
Thea grunts and tries to lift the container again, but the sudden gain of weight remains, leaving her unable to lift it up. She glares at the silvery thing and scratches the back of her head, before turning to the rest of the group. "Uhm...guys, i guess i need a little help over here. I have no idea whats gotten into that thing, but it's gotten so heavy i can't carry it anymore."
Ekmong turns to Thea with interest: "Ah, I knew I was not making that up. I felt it grow heavier with time when i was carrying it before our arrival at that hateful town. Here, let me give it a try." (Ekmong's STR score is a 12, if that comes into play.)
Facing Urtren, Thea responds. "Yes, but we're not sure what to make of it ourselves. The container seems to vary its weight somehow, and we have no clue whats inside. And i completely forgot to examine the container itself, i must admit. As it is now, it all comes down to our next meeting with the luminaries to see what they sent us out to those devilish lands for."

Thea is fine with taking the first shift.
Perception: 5
Survival: 18
Perception: 8
Urtren will take whichever watch isn't claimed
Pip will go with the final watch then, since neither he nor Thea have darkvision so can benefit from the dusk-dawn light.
Perception: 19
Ekmong is not in a healthy mental state to take a watch. He will sleep right through, having plenty of nightmares.
I'll just roll to see if anything interesting happens...

Thea checks the area and spots that there are some small mouse-like creatures that seem to have accidentally caught the wire.
Thea takes another look around the area, making sure theres nothing worse hiding than the mice. Since these types seem interesting, she will take a second to study them after reinstalling the tripwire and ultimately returning to the campside.

Satisfied with these observations, Thea decides not to derange the creatures any more then nessecary and backs off again.

"What is this box that you are carrying? Is it what you were sent out for in the first place?
Ekmong goes over to the container and notes that it is still very heavy.
Facing Urtren, Thea responds. "Yes, but we're not sure what to make of it ourselves. The container seems to vary its weight somehow, and we have no clue whats inside. Fjorgin is next to try to pick it up.

Fjorgin picks up the container. It feels fairly lightweight.
