(Unfortunately, Dolrik gave up his ranged weapon so he will ready another Toll the Dead for an injured foe to trigger once we’re in 60’ range. But before he does and as we float downward …)
”Do we want to befriend the Blink Dog? I thought they could be friendly!?”
Dolrik casts Guidance on himself and retrieves a morsel from his rations and tosses it to the Blink Dog.
”Who’s a good dog? Huh? Who’s a good dog? … You are. That’s who. Yeah, that who. … Good dog.” He calls down to the dog.

Holy crap. It’s not an instant pet but it goes to the food and sniffs it.

If I haven’t offended you, don’t worry. I’m sure I’ll get to you eventually.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Oh yes, absolutely! You don’t get the stuff from the guys at the top and these guys down here don’t have anything useful, but the audience gives you 34 gold and you get a rest (I don’t remember, did y’all get a long or short rest last? I think it was a long.)

We have a mastiff from a whike back, so the blink dog would be in addition to that, but probably gonna be a while before the blink dog is battle ready with us.
Mastiff though ready to go, is very squishy. I would say it could be used as a good extra buffer for those of us staying in the back but we haven't controlled the battle field enough to really have anyone "safe" in the back to be used that way.
I'd say Dolrik would have the blink dog when it's ready to join us after thier instant bond!
“My strength, or lack thereof, would warrant the best use of our canine friends to be linked to those who attack physically (Peregrin, Count and/or Nadir). Since I almost exclusively cast spells (which require saving throws), I would be having the dog ( Ready the) Help (action for) one of you. And since I can’t be sure where you might move (on or before your turn), it would be best for you to direct your helpers. What are all of your thoughts?”
“I think you’ve made a very well thought out argument for one of us taking in the dog. Since Count has Sir Spitz, Dolrik befriended the blink dog and Peregrin doesn’t have the time to dedicate to its training, I can take care of the mastiff. It will be trained that it acts just before me, though if that isn’t a problem.”
So, Dolrik will begin training the Blink Dog by asking its name. He sees that there’s an intelligence behind its eyes that rivals his own. What he doesn’t realize is that the Blink Dog doesn’t understand Common or Dwarvish so he goes with the first sound the dog makes, assuming it is the name it prefers to go with.
”Everyone, meet Rawrer.” Dolrik strokes its flank and gives it another morsel of food before squirting some water from his water skin into his mouth.

Bit of information for RP: The Blink Dog has the same intelligence as a normal commoner, and it understands sylvan but can't speak it. A blink dog's alignment is LG. Also, Blink Dogs speak Blink Dog.
“Say hello to our friends, Hercule,” Nadir says while petting the mastiff. “He’s still a bit green I think and I need to practice more with him, therefore I think he will still sit out the next combat. After that I think he’ll be ready.”
Unless Hercule is going to ger some armor, I don't think we need to buy or sell anything just yet. Looks like we are getting a decent set of backup equipment but not really anything excessive yet.
We can continue, with Lvl 3 Nadir might be able to offer a little bit more protection to those around her, so I would wait to bring Hercule along. I’ve been also thinking that I feel that I miss an action in the rules set, something similar to help but instead of granting advantage it should do the opposite, forcing disadvantage. It could be called hinder. I think that would be something useful as an action for a dog as an assailant could not fully concentrate on their attack with the dog nearby. Not sure, what do you think about this?
at nearest enemy that isn't a blink dog.

Zombie drops dead! Your next two arrows strike the boat and it drops down as well. The blink dog doesn’t seem hostile anymore.

The whole stunt must have been quite a heart stopper for the audience. (Even if some meta gaming was involved)

Looks like it was a short rest, Count fell really slow it seems! But those last few hundred feet went quick! Post # 1265
Ah, whoops. My bad! It’s been a while, sorry.
Long rest then! How’s everyone looking, and that is 163 xp each, bringing it to 833! One more combat day and you’ll be lvl 3!
also, the mastiff will have had enough training to help you in battle. Who wants to run it?

Peregrin can always use more advantage. This way, Peregrin can have advantage every turn.
However, I would prefer only to run Peregrin, as I am not available on saturdays and only very late on sundays.
