Daphyra squeals loudly as the water rushes past her and knocks her. She starts to topple (dex save =4) but clings on to the step and avoids being swept away (strength save 19).
She clambers back up again and, looking abashed from her outburst, casts Toll the Dead again at Goblin 12, the bell sound ringing out throughout the cavern.

Action: Toll the Dead on G12 (DC13 WIS save or 10 necrotic damage)

Round 3: Marten
Marten is quick and nimble, but he didn't expect to outpace both Daphyra and Kiselina. As he sprints up the stairs and the lamp illuminates the chamber in front of him, he's happy to see that they've found Nosam. The gamble paid off! Marten is less happy to realize that he's out in front and face-to-face with a goblin (G12) blocking the top of the stairs, shield and scimitar in hand. Marten stops suddenly and feels Daphyra bump into him. Thankfully, her spell disrupts the goblin just long enough for Marten to regain his balance and duck its attack. The goblin's scimitar misses him, whistling past, a few inches above his head.
But then Marten hears a tremendous roaring sound behind him, followed by Daphyra's squeal. "Berry was right!", he thinks, wondering how many of his companions were still in the tunnel when it flooded. He's heartened to hear Daphyra's voice casting a spell, and he calls back, "Alright there, Mistress? Is Kiselina still with you?" He hears Berry's voice coming from inside the chamber with Nosam, and that gives him some hope as he fights to get into the chamber.
If Daphyra's spell did not kill G12
Marten attacks it with his dagger, trying to use the distraction of Berry moving behind it / over it to his benefit. If he manages to kill the goblin, he moves to the top of the stairs (still at U6), hugging the east wall (on his left). He can hear Berry fighting another goblin just inside the chamber, so he avoids entering the chamber. He tries to hug the east wall (on his left) to gain some cover from any archers while he scans the room and tries to figure out where all of the goblins are.
If Daphyra already killed G12
Marten moves to the top of the stairs and steps over the goblin's body. As he makes it into the chamber (5' to U7) and sees Berry fighting with another goblin (G11), he tries to stab the creature before it notices him.
If he did not kill G11, Marten steps back onto the stairs where he was (5' to U6), pressing against the east wall and trying to stay out of view of both the archers and G11.
If he did kill G11, then he'll continue into the chamber (7' to V6), He sets the lantern down on the floor at the intersection of V&W 6&7, aiming it to the southeast to illuminate G9 and the rest of the chamber. He ends the turn still at V6, but closer to the stairs, trying to use the stalagmite as cover from the archers.
Movement: 0' - 15' of movement, ending at U6 or V6 (see above). Action: Attack (G11 or G12), Dagger: 18 Damage: 6 (I included sneak attack damage since Berry is within 5' of both G11 and G12.) Free Action: Talking and possibly item interaction (setting down the lantern)
Nosam is quite glad his sprint after the goblin didn't end up being a solo march to the slaughter. He hears the commotion behind him and knows that at least some of the party are eliminating the newfound threats.
He squares up against G9 and locks him down firmly in his hairy hands being sure to keep his back covered by the rock formation and his front with his newly equipped meat shield. "Hey there buddy, were you just gonna keep running away every time? Where's the fun in that?" Squeezing a little tighter, Nosam calls out the exact location of the two remaining goblins for those who made it into the pool chamber. "Boys, I caught one... and I see two more of his buddies plottin' what to do, they about 20-25 feet straight ahead of me. Ya think they can aim as well as you Mister Marten? Ha, I've got a gold piece for ya if you kill one of em before they miss and kill their buddy!"
Movement- Stays within V8 and W8 for maximum coverage
Kiselina is tossed about the tunnel like a leaf in a stream as the water sweeps him out of the cave. He manages to keep his shield downstream for most of the ride, allowing it to absorb the brunt of the impacts. He finds himself face down on the bank next to Vidruth. “That was not refreshing.”
As he stands, he watches the wizard scuffle back inside. He pulls out a torch and his tinder box from his pack as he stows his javelin. Luckily, the box is sealed to keep it dry, the torch on the other hand, not so much. As the torch catches fire, he moves back up the stream.
(ooc: still not sure if there are any non-difficult terrain parts of the flooded tunnel. 15’ of movement, back up the tunnel.)

Kiselina and Vidruth are swept out of the Crag and start the turn prone.
Vidruth: move to n10… and prepare firebolt
Berry: Move: T9/0 > U8/0 (7')> V7/0 (7') / drop torch / slash with scimitar @G11: 11 for 5 damage / draw and stab with shortsword@G11: 14 for 5 damage
Daphyra: Toll the Dead on G12 (DC13 WIS save or 10 necrotic damage)
Marten: Attack (G11 or G12), Dagger: 18 Damage: 6
Nosam: Grappling and locking down G9 / Athletics- 21 (16+5). keep his back covered by the rock formation and his front with his newly equipped meat shield.
Kiselina pulls out a torch and his tinder box from his pack [and lights the torch]. 15’ of movement, back up the tunnel.
At the crag entrance
Vidruth, at the entrance to the crag, returns up the creek passage and by stepping onto the creek’s bank can make it as far as N10 without dashing.
Kiselina lights a torch and follows Vidruth (he can’t end in the same square, so is at N11).
In the pool chamber
Berry’s first slash rebounds off of the goblin’s shield, but he takes advantage of his opponent’s momentum to ram his shortsword deep into its kidney before it can turn back. G11 takes 5HP damage but still stands.
Daphyra’s mystical energy crashes around G12, but the goblin grits its teeth and fights off the spell’s effects, taking no damage. (WIS save 16-1=15)
Marten’s dagger rips into the same goblin however, doing 6 damage, and blood pours out from a wound in its gut, but it still stands. (OOC: this possibility was not detailed, but I assume Marten remains where he is since he is blocked from advancing.)
Nosam succeeds in grappling G9 (STR 15-1=14). The goblin’s speed is reduced to 0, but it can still attack when grappled.
Enemies
Goblin 9 <sound of dice rolling> is smart among goblins. “Kill their lights then kill them!,” it snarls, before dropping its bow and drawing its short sword. Although held around the waist by Nosam, its arms are free and it stabs blindly around itself trying to make contact. G9 attacks Nosam: 5 to hit / 3 slashing damage.
Goblin 10 reappears at the edge of the bridge to determine the effects of the flood. Daphyra sees it looking up and down the passage, its mouth forming an angry sneer when it spots light from Kiselina’s torch, and hears the melee in the pool chamber, its ears perking up.
While it is not possible to see this spot farther away than N9, Vidruth is on the lookout. I will say that Vidruth ducks as he advances, so is able to barely make out this goblin’s feet on the bridge despite a dip in the ceiling here which obscures the rest of the goblin’s body. This is enough to trigger the wizard’s prepared cantrip. A firebolt whooshes upward to singe the goblin’s legs for 1HP damage. It screams in pain.
Goblin 11 drops its hammer and picks up Berry’s torch. The goblin attacks Berry with the torch (improvised weapon, no proficiency bonus, also crowded, additional -2 to hit), then drops the torch into the pool, dousing its flame, before (bonus action) disengaging and retreating to the eastern end of the chamber. G11 attacks Berry with torch: 19 to hit / 2 fire damage.
Goblin 12 does as instructed and attacks Marten’s lantern. I give the lantern AC10, 3HP. G12 attacks Marten’s lantern: 20 to hit / 3 slashing damage. The goblin then (bonus action) disengages and retreats to the eastern end of the chamber.
Goblins 13 and 14 step into the chamber to get line of sight, then fire their shortbows at Nosam once again. The dwarf is now using Goblin 9 as a human shield, or rather, an evil green-skinned shield, so if they roll 18 or 19, they hit the goblin. The archers then retreat to the southern steps once again.
G13 at Nosam4 to hit / 6 piercing damage.
G14 at Nosam (or Berry if Nosam is down) 12 to hit / 7 piercing damage.
(If the attack is at Berry, Berry has +2AC for cover from the stalagmite in V7).
Marten’s Lantern is destroyed! Berry’s torch is doused in the pool! The pool chamber is pitch black, which Daphyra and Nosam perceive as dim light.

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

Daphyra inwardly wishes she'd learned a nice useful light cantrip back at the temple.
She replies to Marten and Vidruth, "I'm fine, I thank you. Kiselina was washed down the creek by the wave. I am moving past - there are five goblins I can see... Berry and Nosam are also out there."
Daphyra moves past Marten and casts Toll the Dead on Goblin 11.
Action: Toll the Dead on G11 (DC13 WIS save or 10 necrotic damage)
“Urgh,”Berry curses, “sneaky sh**s took out the light. Nosam, stay tight, try to evade the arrows,”he suggests after hearing an arrow's thumping noise typical for when it connects with flesh. Then he takes a new torch and lights it by mere willpower. He offers the torch to passing Daphyra. If he is out of reach of the grappled goblin, he hunkers down to discourage ranged attacks on his person, or preferably, to become completely hidden behind the stone formation.

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Kiselina sees Vidruth’s fire bolt go off but can’t discern the target. He takes off after the wizard as they head back up the tunnel. He’s able to push past the half Orc near the end. Dripping wet but carrying the light that will hopefully be beneficial to the others engaged with the combatants.

He knows he desperately needs to take down this target before his party advances into the chamber. Nosam pulls back his trusty hammer as he releases the goblin and brings it down with his remaining vigor. Unsure of the goblin's status, Nosam follows up his hammer swing with a fierce jab from his other hand. (OOC: @Randelic, the nice thing about the Disengage action is that if you take it, you are not subject to Attacks of Opportunity. That's one of a goblin's super powers, is to be able to wiggle in and out of a melee. Incidentally, PCs can Disengage as an action (not as a bonus action though), allowing them, likewise, to remove themselves from a sticky situation while sidestepping the immediate retribution of an enemy's Attack of Opportunity.)
Marten lands a solid hit, using the goblin's distraction at Berry's presence to stab low and under its shield. He hits true, but he's surprised that the blow doesn't kill the goblin. Marten braces, hoping to dodge the goblin's next attack. He just has time to register the words of the goblin leader as his opponent swings its scimitar, not at him, but at the lantern. The blow hits the lantern so hard that the lantern shatters and is knocked out of Marten's hand. With the sound of the shattering glass and metal, the light goes out. Marten just has time to see the goblin running back across the chamber before Berry's torch also goes out.
Marten presses against the east wall of the stairs to let Daphyra go past him. Then he shifts over to his right and leans his back against the west wall, moving sideways up the stairs and into the chamber, using the wall as a guide. Marten is thankful to hear Kiselina's voice coming up the main tunnel. He shouts back, "The little devils broke yer lantern!"
Suddenly, Berry's torch flares to light, and the room reappears. Marten hears Nosam's pained exclamation, but in the flickering torchlight, he sees Nosam release the goblin and then lay it out on the ground. "Good one, Nosam!", Marten says, as jogs past Daphyra and Nosam and into the corner (V9) behind the stalagmite. He peeks through the gap between the stalagmite and the wall to throw his dagger at G12. He grabs his bow in his left hand, but seeing the goblin archers, he drops [condition]prone[/prone] to try to stay out of sight.

Round 4 Results
Vidruth’s move under the bridge allows him to attack Goblin 10, which remains in view. Vidruth sends another bolt of flame upwards, making G10 duck away and giving the wizard a moment to pass under the bridge. The firebolt splashes against the ceiling over the bridge, charring the stone but missing the goblin.
Daphyra’s spell smashes the air around G11 in a deathly tolling, but the goblin drops and rolls, somehow evading its life-draining effects (WIS save 15-1=14).
Berry hands Daphyra a lit torch while taking cover behind a stalagmite.
Kiselina makes it to U5 carrying more light.
Nosam’s warhammer smashes into Goblin 9’s ear, caving in its skull. It was not the biggest of goblins. It drops on Nosam, who (we’ll add for color) throws the inanimate corpse aside to smash against the pool wall. (OOC: Note that enemies whose marker is filled red are dead.)
Marten’s dagger finds its mark as the goblin, completely taken by surprise by the attack from an unexpected quarter, grabs at the flung blade which has pierced its throat. It gurgles, falls to its knees, in slow motion turning to glare at Marten. But he’s already out of view when the light goes out of the evil creature's beady eyes.
Enemies
Goblin 10 peeks back around the corner on the bridge, yells (in goblin) “RELEASE THE OTHER FLOOD!,” then releases an attack of its own, firing an arrow down at Vidruth’s back. It then (bonus action) hides. G10 attacks Vidruth 19 to hit / 6 piercing damage
Goblin 11 moves up to attack Nosam, but seeing Marten prone, grins. It leaps in the air, bringing its scimitar down on Marten with great force. Then it retreats to where it started the turn.
Goblin 13 releases an arrow at Nosam G13 attacks Nosam 15 to hit / 8 piercing damage.
G11 attacks Marten 13 to hit / 3 piercing damage.
Goblin 14 releases an arrow at Nosam, and then it and Goblin 13 both retreat up the southern stairs and hide out of sight.
G14 attacks Nosam 13 to hit / 8 piercing damage.
You are now situated like so:
G11 is wounded. G10, G13 and G14 are all hiding. If you move to the eastern end of the chamber, you must make a perception check, DC11 (they aren’t hiding very well, lol!) to spot G13 or G14. Otherwise, you must guess at their location and attack at disadvantage. G10 rolled 23 stealth, so you must roll a Perception check of 23 to attack it without disadvantage.
"We got 2 of 'em, we need to keep pushing, at least 1 other is hurt and can't be too far off." Nosam surveys the group and hears Kiselina and Vidruth coming through the tunnel towards the main chamber. Looking towards his companions Nosam asks the group, "once we all in here, we ready to charge after 'em?"
Movement- Maintain current position, holding for group consensus
"They said something about a second flood!" vidruth alerts the others, moving to a better position, where he might be less likely to be swept away "expect it to be larger" he then fires a bolt at the last visible goblin
move: U7
action: firebolt g11, or if i cant, prepare firebolt. Attack: 12 Damage: 1

Round 5: Marten
Marten feared for Nosam, who still had a black-feathered arrow sticking out of him, but then the goblin who rushed forward attacked him, not Nosam! The goblin's aim is true, but luckily, the scimitar just thunks awkwardly against Marten's armor.
Marten gets to his feet in a crouch and rises up slowly, using the stalagmite to provide some cover if any of the goblin archers show their faces. He scans the area for goblins while he draws another arrow from his goblin quiver. He sees the one who just tried to attack him and immediately releases the arrow.
"once we all in here, we ready to charge after 'em?"
"Why charge in? Better to invite 'em out here," Marten suggests. "We can hold this area if nothin' sneaks up behind. Does anyone have eyes on the bridge or the goblins from the other side?!"

Round 5 Results (partial)
Nosam takes a breath.
Vidruth invokes firebolt at G11, but the goblin leaps straight up in an awkward vertical split as the bolt whooshes under it, blackening the eastern wall behind it. The goblin’s eyes bulge like an infant whose pacifier has been taken away preparing to bawl.
Marten’s bowshot aims to hit the goblin in mid air, but the hairy-eared creature ducks behind its shield and the arrow pings off of it, splitting in two pieces which whistle away and rebound off of the ceiling and floor respectively. The goblin’s eyes bulge even farther, nearly popping out, its mouth a strange amoeba shape as it evades the attack.
As Kiselina enters the pool chamber, he makes note of the wall of bodies that are his companions. He’s been missing from most of this fight and he’s eager to get involved, yet he’s not in a position to be decisive still. He maneuvers between Berry and Nosam to the front but determined he can’t close with any of the goblins. As such, he seeks cover from the stalagmite and prepares to absorb some damage, or preferably avoid it.

"whats the situation?" he asks daphyra and marten, the onlypeople he can see right now "i can hit anything that pops around the corner, so retreat if needed, is everyone alright?"

“Urgh,” Berry curses, “sneaky sh**s took out the light. Nosam, stay tight, try to evade the arrows,” he suggests after hearing an arrow's thumping noise typical for when it connects with flesh.

"Ah, Lucky bastard got me good," Nosam wincing in pain knows one more hit and he'll be down (3/13hp). "Boys, I'm in quite the pickle. I'll do what I can, but I suppose you'll be peeling me of the ground shortly... ha, that is you if you dodge arrows better than me."
He stands tall, or as tall as his dwarven frame allows, hoping to see life and resolve leave his green buddy.
Movement- Maintain current position
Action- Attack G9 with Warhammer; Hit 16, Damage 5 (2+3)
Bonus- Attack unarmed melee with offhand (Two-Weapon Fighting); Hit 10, Damage 4
Reaction- Opportunity attack for G9 disengage and flee (if applicable); Hit 11, Damage 6 (3+3)

Movement: 30' of movement: U6 > U7 >> U8 (diff terrain, Daphyra) >> V8 (diff terrain, Nosam) > V9 and drop prone
Action: Ranged Attack (G12), Dagger: 18 Damage: 6
Free Action: Talking & equipping his shortbow
(OOC: Oops. I had prepared for attacking G9 if Nosam didn't finish him, so I accidentally included sneak attack damage in that damage roll, which isn't appropriate here. Corrected damage roll.)
Damage: 5

Please post for Round 5 in any order.

Action- Equip shield, AC19
Bonus- Second Wind, 6 (5+1); 9/13 HP
"They said something about a second flood!" vidruth alerts the others, moving to a better position, where he might be less likely to be swept away "expect it to be larger" he then fires a bolt at the last visible goblin

Movement: 15', standing up, remain at V9
Action: Attack, Shortbow (80/320): 20 Damage: 6
Free Action: Talking (in second post, below)
