It seems you all have arrived at Gnome's Rock, appropriately named. The village is a small one, quiet with a few people milling about. You see half orcs in the fields, tilling them. Half orcs cleaning around houses. And even more half orcs, some carrying carts of stone to a building.
"Oi, you the blokes that's 'ere for the little shites in my mine?" You hear as you see a small elderly gnome walk up to you. "If not, then sod off, got enough workers already."
A small half orc runs up to the man and starts to speak in orcish. The man scowls, and starts to respond in their deep grating words. He looks off to the other half orcs, shouting now in orc, as he makes gestures in the air. The small half orc runs off after nodding to him. He turns back to you, "Now which is it!?", he shouts at you.
"I take my greataxe wherever it can reach. If in need, I´ve got my crossbow. But I'm at my best when I can get in real close."
Aurelia had remained fairly quiet during the travel, taking position at the back of the group to keep an eye on their surroundings. She was more used to be a protector than anything else, hence the habit to take on a surveying role. The triton was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming they all had been, and she quite liked the diverse group they had become. When they came to a halt by the gnome she purposely took a few steps forward as to not be too far behind.
"There be goblins, inside my mine. My workers can't work then. Understand?" He grumbles as he walks off, motioning to follow him, "I think they showed up last week or so. The boys noticed the holes in the mine, ones too small for them. Said they could see something scurrying in them. That's when the first injury happened, little bastard ran up to the kid's face and started clobbering away at him with a rock." He points to a building you all pass by. Through the window you see a few half orcs, bandaged up and resting on a few cots. "When that happened, I called everyone to get out of the mine. I had some boys block up the entrance so we could contain the problem." The old man stops ahead. In front of his lied a small quarry, filled with dozens of half orcs, mining stone out of the walls. Deeper into the quarry you could see a large boulder fitted into the mine's entrance, the wooden shafts holding it firmly. You spot a two half orcs standing guard by it, with pickaxes and shovels. "Though that ain't gonna stop them for long."
Excuse me, says Hatt, from the back of the group. Mr... errr... he racks his brain... Pebb, is it? Might I ask, have there been any signs of goblins in the mine before this? Are there any goblins that live near here?

"Been working that mine for three years and the only pests we had to deal with is the occasional spider and wolf." He looks back, "And that's the another thing, I don't think they came in through this way."
”They’re probably dropping from the sky from the backs of Rocs.” Crispy says seriously deadpan, then wrinkles her face after thinking about it a second more. “Ehhh thats silly.”
Karra shrugs. "We deal with goblins, maybe find where they tunnel in from." He gets his bow readied. "Goblins still in mine right now, yes? Perhaps sleeping during day, maybe lucky and catch them unawares."
The Goblins' Rocs drop goblins and rocks on Gnome's Rock. The Goblins' Rocs drop goblins and rocks on Gnome's Rock. The Goblins' Rocs drop goblins and rocks on Gnome's Rock. says Hatt very fast under his breath.
Ashley thinks to herself Were are they coming from i wounder. are they dropping from the sky off the backs of Rocs ? No, that's silly.
Out loud she says Do you think they tunneled in from another mine network ?
"Don't see no other way and my boys didn't dig another entrance. So yes, that's what the little devils did." He points out to the forest surrounding the village, "Either something spooked them to hide deeper or the little shites are just lucky to find my mine. Either way, their old den should be out there, while their new den is in my damn mine."
He looks to Karra, "They might be, don't really know. Don't want to lose any workers. But I'll tell you this right now, once you all go in there and if you all ain't out by sun down. We block the mine again. By morning, I'll be having the boys set up explosives inside. And I don't care if any of you are still alive in there." He says, setting the deadline for you all. You all will have twelve hours to clear out a mine of goblins. "Though you," He points to Karra, "You're straight to the point. I like that. I'll leave a few boys outside the entrance. They'll tell me if you all got back and be waiting behind that there boulder."
"My favorite part of this story is the part where we're helping YOU, but you give us a time limit that we have to reach or else we're buried alive." She says, snorting in a muffled laugh, then turns very serious.

I believe we are indeed the ones here to clear your mine. Ashley responds with out repeating the slightly foul language.

"What can you tell us about the mine?"
Gasp thinks for a moment and then mimics "'ere for the little shites in my mine!" in the same exact inflection as the gnome.
Bennett chuckles a bit hearing Gasp mimic the elderly gnome. Good little group we have. Reminds me of my old unit...

“Sheesh, Shorty McKneecaps.” Crispy says, a bit sarcastically. “Do we look like manual labor to you..? Mine details, lets go.”

Crispy turns to Ashley. “Uh. Yeah?” She gives Ashley a concerned look. “You ok?”
