The creature's many teeth tear into the flesh of Sparkles's calf. But as fast as blood spills out, it begins to heal. Still, the mouther feeds.
It knows it must grow. Its original body was too soft, too weak, too restraining. It Must. Become One.
The bolt of Syed's clatters against the fireplace stones, rolling near the still open flame, catching on fire. Eren, crouching behind the fireplace, doesn't even flinch. Their hands press against their head from both sides. Both the ratatosk and the caraveener struggle against the agonizing din of the many mouths that seek to destroy them.
Through the noise, the constant jabbering; the whizzing of arrows; the soft whining of a dog, a sudden bell is heard. Its ring vibrates the small cabin, sending the gibbering mouther in a frenzy. Its head smacks against the shards of the window frame, piercing its flesh. Somehow through the bell, these shards take on a necrotic effect, causing scabs of bits and pieces falling off its 'head' (or at least what can pass as one), now blackening from around the areas it stabbed.
It reaches up its left arm, one that finally has fingers, and slams it down into the fireplace, sending beans and scalding water across its side. "EEEK EK IEEEE"
To add insult to injury, three spectral skulls soar through the cabin and clamp down upon the Gibbering Mouther's flesh. They tear their way through, dodging teeth and hungry mouths, to get their own fill too. Viscera spills through the throat-less jaws, damping the wooden floors with blood and rotting meat. Some of it falls through onto the Gibbering Mouther's body itself, reabsorbing into the massive blob of hairless skin and teeth.
Tentacles lash out as they flare out the sides of whatever can be said for its back, writhing and trashing against all things in its path. A tendril hits Haley's wall which smacks water upon her face on impact. Her scowl darkens in a way you haven't seen before.
"ENOUGH!"
The saytr screams. She whispers an incantation onto a small wooden stick she pulls from her pocket. A dried mistletoe hangs from its tip. "Not here. Not now. Not in MY house!"
Rushing past the wall of water, she stabs the sharpened stick into the bellowing mouth of the Mouther. Her stake strikes through the top of its upper lip before plunger deeper past its palate as it tries to push the stake out with its tongue. The monster tries to dislodge it itself, but Haley pushes the stake down through its mouther further. And in a single miss-swipe, he stake gets driven through its the tongue largest in its body. Red and green spills forth from its mouth as it howls in pain.

Gibbering Effects
The mouther babbles incoherently while it can see any creature and isn't incapacitated. Each creature that starts its turn within 20 feet of the mouther and can hear the gibbering must succeed on a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the creature can't take reactions until the start of its next turn and rolls a d8 to determine what it does during its turn. On a 1 to 4, the creature does nothing. On a 5 or 6, the creature takes no action or bonus action and uses all its movement to move in a randomly determined direction. On a 7 or 8, the creature makes a melee attack against a randomly determined creature within its reach or does nothing if it can't make such an attack.
The monster drips saliva down the neck of its prey. Its rancid breath lingers with hints of acid. Its many mouths do not need oxygen. It does not matter that the prey keeps trying to wriggle free. It will lose. It will see.
As the feathered creature in its grip will see, the Mouther is patient. Its body finally goes limp in the monster's arm. And all it took was smashing it through the wooden wall of the cabin. The Gibbering Mouther slides through the gap in the walls, creeping further forward. It already has its eyes set whatever creature its arm has taken down on the floor. It is hard to focus against the ringing. Each arm senses and feels for its prey near autonomously. But it will work together. It is all one.
When a sudden whoosh towards its side, its tentacle doesn't quite catch it until suddenly a splinter wedges its way into its mouth. Trying to pry off the burning pain, its tongue gets further stuck, causing it to whine and holler.
In one fell swoop, it strikes down upon the vile offender at its side. It's offender side-swipes the tentacle, dodging the worst of it. Still the Mouther can taste the feel of her blood upon its tongue and flesh under its teeth. Yes. If it is not victorious, it still will have feed.
Sparkles remains lying on the ground, unconscious and bleeding out, but blissfully unaware of the chaos unfolding around her. Isn’t it wonderful? Isn’t it so peaceful? It would be so easy to just edge closer towards that tranquility, to let go and slip away…
Syed snaps the babble’s hooks from his mind and whips toward Sparkles—still as stone, breath thin, blood slicking the boards. A flinty thought cuts through the din: “No drifting. Not today.” From his bandolier he yanks a thumb-sized stormglass ampoule capped with twin copper prongs and a ratcheting thumbwheel. He bites the cork, slaps the prongs to Sparkles’s sternum and the inside of her wrist, then cranks—kertch-zzzap. A blue arc bridges fur and scale, the scent of hot tin and singed leather popping in the air as healing surges through her. (Cure Wounds, Sparkles regains 8 HP. Perhaps the DM still lets you take your full turn this round.)
Without looking away, Syed flicks a command down the bond to his mastiff: “Mellow—loose. Throat and off.” Mellow explodes forward, jaws clamping a rubbery fold of the thing’s flank; he yanks, shakes, and releases on cue. (Mellow—Bite: Hit AC 14, 2 piercing damage, if hit it must succeed on a DC 11 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.)
Syed pivots over Sparkles’s shoulder, re-shouldering the crossbow and squaring to the mouther, tail coiled tight around the trigger guard. “Up you get,” he sends to her, wry and steady. “We’re not done being unreasonable.”
Sparkles splutters and coughs up blood as she's hit with a wave of healing. Some of the needle-thin bite wounds are still open and bleeding, but about half have been suitably sealed, enough to keep her from losing blood at a fatal rate and to rouse her from her unconscious state. She drags herself up from the floor, ears ringing and vision blurry, and clasps her quarterstaff closely to keep herself up on her feet as best as she can. Although she's still wounded, the monk can't help but get another vengeful strike onto the beast, even though a quick retreat would be wiser. The dash of her staff across the beast's form causes her to be sprayed with a splatter of fleshy goop, but that's hardly a problem when her clothes are already so blood soaked and tattered. Sparkles then channels that strange, newfound power she felt earlier to give her enough energy to jump back and step away from the chattering mass of mouths, holding a basic defence stance to assure she won't get caught off guard as she retreats.
Action: Quarterstaff Attack: 18 to hit, 4 bludgeoning damage on a hit. Bonus Action: Step of The Wind, spend one ki point to Disengage Movement: One square right (10 feet with difficult terrain), one square down onto where Mellow is shown, although I think that square's actually free as they're sharing a space with Syed (another 10 feet) then three squares down to get as far as she can and out of the gibbering range, leaving her to the right of William. (35/40 feet movement speed expended)
