"Gah, right. That's it!" Drazzim feels the pain of the second blow, his other side now badly injured. (Drazzim: 5/13 HP) He swings his glaive in an arcing blow to the other kuo-toa, his attention temporarily distracted from his initial target.
Glaive vs. Kuo-Toa #4:12 vs. AC. Hit:9 slashing damage.
(OOC: I'll make a couple of separate posts. Let me know if it is easier to follow that way).
Graxx swings his greataxe once again at the fishman, who raises its shield in an attempt to trap the warrior's weapon one more time. It does enough to deflect the blow, but Graxx's axe simply slides off it as before, taking some of the sticky slime with it. The barbarian laughs at his foe's failure to implement its strategy. Utar catches sight of the stalemate between Graxx and the Kuo-Toa and lands a hand to his companion, healing him amid battle.
As fate would have it, Drazzim seems to also struggle with his foe's shield, at least temporarily. As he shifts attention to a new opponent, the swing of his glaive has an arch long enough for the Kuo-Toa to raise its shield and prepare for impact. For the first time since the battle begun, the dwarf feels his blade be slowed by some sort of sticky substance on the enemy's shield, adding to its resistance (Drazzim must succeed a {DC 10} STR saving throw or his glaive becomes stuck to Kuo-Toa#4's shield. He is welcome to simply let go of the weapon if he fails the saving throw, but otherwise he'd be considered grappled).
(OOC: Post from the top of initiative round #3 coming shortly).
As Drazzim's blade hits the Kuo-Toa's shield, Darrius sees his opening an lets an arrow loose. The arrow finds its target right around the waist and pins its net to its own fishy scales (cumulative damage on Kuo-Toa#4: 9) (OOC: I really liked the creative thinking here, and I'd say a roll of 19 is high enough to pull it off. We'll consider Kuo-Toa#4's net nullified, unless they pull the arrow out or do something else that would release the net. If this becomes a recurring strategy, we'll say you need to roll pretty high on your attacks to make it happen, deal?).
Rose, seeing that Drazzim left one of his foe's unattended, shifts her weight and punctures its bulgy, beady eye before it notices the incoming attack (cumulative damage on Kuo-Toa#1: 22 -> DEAD). Next to the gnome, Cato finally manages to aim his acidic toe nail at the annoying crab's underbelly, skewering it as Rose had just a few moments ago (cumulative damage to Crab#3: 4 -> DEAD).
The crabs will continue to annoy their current target, pinching them with purpose.
Crab#1 claw attack vs. Cato: 9. Damage: 1 bludgeoning.
Crab#2 claw attack vs. Rose: 8. Damage: 1 bludgeoning.
Crab#4 claw attack vs. Rose: 5. Damage: 1 bludgeoning.
Despite having an arrow sticking from its leg, Kuo-Toa#3 seems more worried about the human barbarian wailing at its shield. It will attempt to gain an advantage by throwing its net on Graxx. In turn, Kuo-Toa#4 is unable to reach for its net, so it will instead try to poke Drazzim once again.
Kuo-Toa#3 net (ranged attack with disadvantage) vs. Graxx: 14 (that's a hit, Graxx becomes restrained).
Kuo-Toa#4 spear (one-handed melee attack) vs Drazzim: Attack: 17 Damage: 6 piercing (I believe this does it for Drazzim, and he becomes unconscious, falling to the ground, so also technically prone, I guess. Any thoughts?).
UPDATED INITIATIVE/LOCATIONS
INITIATIVE ROUND 3
21. Darrius (H7). 20. Rose (I11). 17. Cato (H11). 16. Crab#1 (H11); Crab#2 (I11); Crab#3; Crab#4 (I11); Crab#5; Crab#6; Crab#7. 16. Kuo-Toa#1; Kuo-Toa#2; Kuo-Toa#3 (I9); Kuo-Toa#4 (J10). 12. Graxx (H9) - Raging but restrained. 9. Drazzim (I10) - unconscious, prone, (still roll that STR saving throw to see if your weapon is stuck). 4. Utar (H8).
(Graxx, Drazzim, and Utar, you are up. Darrius, Rose, and Cato can also post their turns for initiative round 4 if they'd like.)
Graxx attempts to continue wailing at his foe's shield, but the net now covering him restrains his movement, giving the Kuo-Toa some room to breath. (OOC: you don't technically hit his shield this time around, so no saving throw required. Also, you are welcome to attempt getting rid of the net somehow. Just describe your action on your turn and we'll determine what we need to roll, if interested in trying).
Prone and unconscious, Drazzim's blood begins to change the color of the mud beneath him. The dwarf's glaive lies next to him, free of the Kuo-Toa's sticky shield. Utar rushes to his side (H8 -> H10), and magically stabilizes his companion (Drazzim is set to naturally regain consciousness in 4 hours).
(OOC @pokepaladdy: Since your turn technically comes before Utar's, you are welcome to roll a DEATH saving throw in hopes of getting a Nat20 and regaining consciousness immediately. Otherwise, the description above still applies).
Despite getting some momentary respite from Graxx's greataxe, Kuo-Toa#3 is still not threat-free. Another arrow comes flying his way as Darrius intends to keep him occupied. This one is only a grazing blow, however, and the fishman is still up for a fight (cumulative damage on Kuo-Toa#3: 9).
With another quick movement, Rose turns to her left and stabs another Kuo-Toa in the gut, making sure to puncture one or two internal organs as to finish her opponent swiftly (cumulative damage to Kuo-Toa#4: 20 -> DEAD).
Busy with his tiny foes, Cato focus on his next target and hurts it with his acid (cumulative damage on Crab#1: 7 -> DEAD).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Enemies' turn:
The remaining crabs are all stuck to Rose's boots and will continue to claw at her:
Crab#2 claw attack vs. Rose: 15. Damage: 1 bludgeoning.
Crab#4 claw attack vs. Rose: 15. Damage: 1 bludgeoning.
The last Kuo-Toa standing is too busy engaged with both Graxx and Darrius to notice its companions' precarious situation. As such, it will continue fighting and aim at his restrained foe.
Kuo-Toa#3 spear (one-handed melee attack with advantage) vs. Graxx: Attack: 6 Damage: 2 piercing.

INITIATIVE ROUND 3
21. Darrius (H7). 20. Rose (I11). 17. Cato (H11). 16. Crab#1; Crab#2 (I11); Crab#3; Crab#4 (I11); Crab#5; Crab#6; Crab#7. 16. Kuo-Toa#1; Kuo-Toa#2; Kuo-Toa#3 (I9); Kuo-Toa#4. 12. (Graxx, Drazzim, and Utar, you are up. Darrius, Rose, and Cato can also post their turns for initiative round 5. If combat ends before then, we'll simply ignore the appropriate posts).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Normally a spare the dying would mitigate all need for rolling death saves, but I guess attempting to get that sudden surge of adrenaline to wake up would be appreciated)
(OOC @pokeplaladdy: I understand. Just thought I'd give you a chance to roll once because technically you had a turn before Utar had a chance to cast the spell. That 18 was close too).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Graxx(7/15) even while raging can't help but notice the pain from the damage he has taken. Even though he is restrained he looks over to see Drazzim on the ground and knows he will be joining him soon if he does not end this. He lunges forward with a roar to slash with his greataxe on Kuo-Toa #3.
Losing whatever little patience he has, Graxx swings his greataxe a fourth time against the same foe. This time, the barbarian's strength pushes the blade past his opponent's shield, carrying the net along. The blow hits the Kuo-Toa right on the gills (cumulative damage on Kuo-Toa#3: 21 -> DEAD). Despite the kill, Graxx still struggles with the net (i.e. still restrained).
(OOC @Grx: Could you have a second look at your HP math there? I think the right amount would be (9/15) if you just took 7 piercing damage while raging and had (12/15) before the hit, right? Or am I missing something?).
Drazzim, now stable, is still unconscious on the ground.
(Utar's turn is still up, but I wanted to post to signal that the last Kuo-Toa is now dead. The only remaining foes are the two crabs on Rose's boots. Because they are tiny and attached to her body, anyone else trying to hit them would have to overcome their 3/4 cover).
Cato, getting frustrated with all these crabs, casts primal savagery again, attacking that stupid crab a second time.

If a Kuo-Toa is still alive, rose stabs it; otherwise she'll stab a crab. (Attack: 22 Damage: 11)

Moving towards Drazzim, he kneels by him and impeaches Torm to spare the dying. "You're not done yet, dwarf!"
