The cabbage merchant is deeply grateful. As the party gathers the cabbages up, he looks around to see if anyone is watching and quickly Prestidigitates them clean. “Ah, just as good as new! Thank you, friends. The name is Cai, and if you ever are in need of food, stop on by.”
As a token of his appreciation, he gifts you one freshly cleaned cabbage each. Onlookers approve of the kindness.
DM: Renown of the Fellowship in Bazzoxan increases to 1.
Brother Bombur’s and Ylis’ attention is drawn to the smashed mosaic of stained glass. Based on the metal wires and the color of glass on the ground below, the two can tell that it once depicted a woman’s face on a golden disk: the iconography of Avandra: the Change Bringer. This was a temple dedicated to her.
Randa sees nothing that would be threatening but when Bombur calls out, Randa’s keen ears detect shuffling movement farther into the spiral temple. Approaching footsteps indicate that someone is coming. Someone with a careful gait, but heavy feet.
Morgan also detects it, but the bat only sees the curious glowing fruits. It seems very interested in helping itself to a tasty meal.
Frekor manages to find some broken glass at the base of a once gorgeous mosaic. Before he can point this out to anyone, Bombur and Ylis seem to notice and piece together its once purpose. (sorry but 6 gets nothing :P)
A shadow bounces along the curved wall before its owner. Large. Looming, nearly filling up the entirety of the tunnel, then its own passes around the bend and the party sees that he is nearly as large. A firbolg, draped in hemp clothing fastened with tightly wound hemp rope. He walks with a staff and has a large, kind face.
“Greetings adventurers. I have been expecting you for some time. My name is Foghome. I am a gardener and the caretaker of these plants. I would share what I have but I am trying to help the town of Bazzoxan at the moment, so can you please stop your bat from eating of my crops?” He says, tilting his staff toward the bat feasting on what appears to be a glowing berry of some kind.
Morgan coughs, a little embarrassed. "Hey, come back here!" he calls, trying to control his gluttonous familiar.
Then he turns to the firbolg. "I'm sorry. He's new to this dimension. Hasn't learned good manners yet."
He leans down and mutters to the tiny bat, "At least you could share..."
Straightening up, Morgan gestures toward Jacaranda. "As my companion was... indicating, we’ve traveled a long way to speak with someone who could help us understand this artifact. A lot of signs pointed us here. Can you help us?"

(OOC: I don't know how renown works in D&D, if someone could explain it to me later I'd be thankfull. As soon as I got the 6 I knew that I wouldn't learn anything new, it's all good)
DM: Renown is in the DMG as an optional rule. I am giving it a try. It can work in a variety of ways. Your Renown can give people a more positive impression of you than the standard neutral, which makes them more likely to be swayed one way or another in interactions. Some NPCs will not permit/trust/offer X or Y unless you attain a certain level of Renown with them individually or with their group.
You can gain ranks within orders through Renown. You might get perks like access to a safehouse in a town because you have a level of Renown. You might get offered magical items. You could meet certain person's of authority that you might have to otherwise bully your way to. The benefits are basically limited by our collective imagination here. There are some neat examples of Renown here. The DMG lists benefits being material at +3 and you build them up by being generally helpful to people or organizations.
(OOC: Frekor didn't get very hurt in the fight, only lost 3 THP if I calculated right. Now with the extra 8 THP, he would have 13 THP)
Goliath monk Khaddim, High elf ranger Frekor, Dragonborn sorcerer Godfrey, Goliath blood hunter Albus, High elf druid Charis, Human rogue Garrett
( Does Temp hp stack? I thought not.)
(OOC: Oh. I didn't know that. I just looked and you are right, I'll fix it now)
