Oh, this is great! Really happy to hear from you again...
Also, I'm sorry, I'll stop with the sarcastic remarks... I think it was just my response from the growing anxiety on the chance that this wouldn't continue...
I'm in travel right now, so I'll most likely have to still take a few days before I can respond to a new faster pace, but after that is done, I'll be really happy to continue this.
No worries at all! Sarcasm is good stuff. Glad to have you again. What do you guys think? Maybe one more day to see if anyone else responds? And then we move forward?
Thanks... According to the campaign page, we're down to four... So we only need Peachy's response, unless someone else decides to return from limbo.
Knowing what I can about Peachy, I believe they'd be up to join us without questions asked, they were always one that made it clear that they'd be able to wait most of the time.
What I want to ask, though, is if we should look for more players to join us? While it wouldn't be my first game with four party members only, it seems kinda unusual around the PbP groups I've been a part of, which most consistently seem to round out at five or six. I have no side in this decision, yet, but I think it's a question worth to think about.
It’s a good question. If we really have four, I think we’re okay. I can put out the call and we can add after we get this rolling. I’d only take one or more anyway.
I think I’ll get it started though, assuming Peachy is in.
Everyone gets 200 XP. The bandits don’t really have much on them. Between you, you find enough to put together 1 gold piece each. As far as weapons go, they have simple daggers and swords. A few crossbows, if you want one. Nothing to write home about.
Your journey continues. You spend the rest of the day and evening in the rain. The next morning you set out early. The clouds clear up by mid-day spreading fresh sunlight on the open plains and farm fields. By evening, you reach the top of a wide basin the road continues down into. Miles below in the gloom, you can see the small speck that is Deepacre.
Seva points it out. “There. We should camp for the night. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow. We’ll need to discuss planning and approach, as well.”
That night, with the camp settled, Seva makes small-talk with you each about where you're from and how you ended up in Southaven. After a time she grows silent and stares into the cookfire.
"I need to be clear with you all," she says keeping her eyes fixed on the dancing flames. "I don't think I'll be much, uh, help to you tomorrow. I mean--I'll do whatever is needed. Of course. Whatever you say. But, I'm, you know, no warrior. And I uh...I'm not any good at strategy. Remember, we're here to push Lord Blackwood's men out. They have a garrison in town--the Mayor's house and a few other surrounding houses are where they stay. There are patrols and such, but I can't tell you how often."
She shakes her head. "I’m just trying to say, how you go about this is up to you. And you'll have to gather your own information if you need it. We're going to be relying on you all to get this done."
Lazarus: (to the party) "I still want to investigate the town, its not that i don't trust you seva, but your asking us to do alot based on your word. if the town really needs help, i will do what is needed."

DMing "Gallia Campaign 1".
Looking for a new game, if you need a player private message me.
Tristan nods in approval, "Scouting the town sounds like a fine idea, We really need to know there numbers, where they sleep and where they take their meals."
(Lazarus, I’m assuming that you said that to everyone else away from Seva.)
Tristan, Seva nods. “Tomorrow you’ll have your chance, Tristan. Actually, I wanted to ask. I’ve been seen around town. I doubt the militia care enough to recognize people, but you never know. Do you think it would be best if I go into to town without you all first, tomorrow? You can follow in later as a separate group? I’m not sure how well they’ll treat outsiders, but I’m also worried they’ll pick up that I brought you in.”
"Agreed" Tristan will tell Seva, after she leaves (if she leaves) to his fellows he'll say "It's not that I don't trust her, but maybe we should go a different path than the one she'll be expecting us on"

Sorry it got messed up. We had a good thing going.
I'm interested if we can pick up the pace a bit.
Sounds good. I think we’ll head straight for the town in question.

as far as the story is concerned we could pick up those new members of the party at the village we are going to.

Very true. And that will be the next for our story to be sure. Let’s see if I can get a post going today.
